Yummy Birthday Wishes - EB DT

So I will totally be MIA this week. But, before I go, I wanted to show you this sweet little image from Elisabeth Bell. She is called Sweet Sundae and you can purchase her in the Elisabeth Bell Digital Gallery.  The thing I love about digital images is that I can make them how big I want, I can merge them with another image or accessory. Best part, they only take up a little bit a room on my computer and no room in my craft room! ;-))  If you haven't tried one, you may be suprised at how much you like them.

I colored Sweet Sundae with Copic markers. I believe the greens were from the G20 family.  The oranges were YR00, YR02, YR04. I colored the background with Prisma color pencils. The sentiment is from Verve and all the papers are from Close to my Heart. Pretty simple card, not much else to it!

So, I hit 100 followers and I am putting together my 100th Follower Blog Candy this week. I'm going to try to get it done and posted before I leave, but if not, when I get back I will be sure to get it up for you all. It's filled with lots of yummy things. Promise not to disappoint you!

Another thing, did you know that Elisabeth has started her own Challenge blog??? You can use ANY of her images from all the different companies that carry her images. You can also use her digital images.  The Challenges run once a month. Be sure to check it out....  Elisabeth Bells World Challenge Blog

Challenges:

Sweet Stop Sketches - Sketch

Evening everybody!!  So are you as excited as we were about seeing the newest Elisabeth Bell Digi????? Are we totally digging the Christmas Image? I know I am. She is just sooooooo CUTE! Reminds me of my little one, who is not so little anymore. ;-(  So the girls over at the Digi Bells DT have some great creations to show you today. So make sure to hop along!!!!!!

This is how it's going to work. There will be 2 winners of the digital image. Yes, you read that correctly. 2 winners. Here's how to win:

1st -Each blog has 2 words. You have to collect the words from all the blogs, these words will then form a sentence. Once you have the sentence, hop on back to the Digi Bells DT Blog and post the sentence in the comments area. A random winner will be picked out of all the entries that get the sentence correct.

2nd - One blog will be the winning blog. Leave a comment at all the blogs and the winner will be picked randomly from the winning blog!

So easy!  So let's get started. Here is the list, in order, of the Blog hop.....

Ok, so now on to the card. Geeeesh, finally huh. I know you want to see what we've done with our images. Here is Eden's Second Christmas's debut:

Elisabeth Bell Sneak Peek and New Card!

Ok, so earlier I posted the 1st sneak peek for the newest Elisabeth Bell Digi. If you want to take a guess hop on over to the EB Digi Bells Blog and leave a comment. A winner will be chosen randomly from the people who are closest to guessing what the newest digi is!
The digi release will be at 7pm Pacific time on Friday night!!  The DT will be having a Blog Hop. Be sure to check that out on Friday evening! Winners of the blog hop will be anounced on Saturday.

Sneak Peek #2

Now on to my lastest card. This is using a Digital Stamp from the Elisabeth Bell Digi Collection.  He is called Li'l Cowboy! Isn't he just darling?

I colored Li'l Cowboy with Copic Markers. The die cut is from spellbinders and the loop punch is from Martha Stewart. The paper is Karen Foster and Close to my Heart. I found the little "Giddy Up" in my stash of scrapbooking items. I believe it is from K&Company. I was having some kind of night getting those Blues to blend well. I think I need to get a B97 asap, the 99 is just way to dark and hard to blend with the colors I have. ;-(

I do have one exciting thing to share. Over the years we have had a few scrapbook stores come into the area but all have since closed. The only ones left are still about 1 hour away, not to far, but it would be nice to have one close by. My wish has finally been granted. A great lady that I started scrapbooking with about 10 years ago opened up a Store about 15 mins away from me. Yea me! The best thing - she is a scrapbooker and stamper so is carrying a little bit of both. The even better thing - she is carrying COPICS! Yea!!  So now I can get my copic fix. I am trying to convince her to be a copic refill station.  I have started buying refills, but they're no fun, not when I still have 100+ copics to buy to complete my collection! hehe  So if she becomes a refill station I can continue to buy copics and just get a refill as needed. Ok, enough rambling. Have a great evening.  I have a busy couple of days ahead of me but hope to get another card posted tomorrow.

Be sure to check back on Friday for the blog hop!

Rachel - Elisabeth Bell DT

Hello!! Happy Monday! (is there such a thing?? hehe) This month is flying by!! Holy cow!! Can't wait to see what Elisabeth Bell has coming out in the digital department for next month. Anybody else as excited as I???  Also, if you haven't checked out the NEW Elisabeth Bell DT page...please check it out HERE

I had a super, super busy week.  My sister came into town from South Carolina. I had to plan a suprise birthday party for my father, who turned 60.  My brother and his family drove down for 2 days from where they live (about an hr away). In the meantime, I wake up on Sunday (the day of the party) sick!!!!!!!!! I got through the party part. We actually totally surprised him and he was very happy we had a party for him. Turned out fantastic.  I on the otherhand am still sick and had to call out of work today.  Two things going on, I have a cold and after eating very well for weeks and weeks (I need to lose some major weight here!!) I indulged a little yesterday and my body said...whooooaaa, what are you doing??? Needless to say I am still not feeling well and had a nice healthy bowl of Special K w/skim milk this morning!!!

Now on to the important stuff. I have here a cutie patootie image from Elisabeth Bells Digital collection.  She is called Rachel, Little Darling. Isn't she darling??  I think so!  Here she is:

Here are the details:  She is coloried with Copic markers. I used stickles on her wings. The flower is from Prima. The butterfly is also from Prima. The paper is from Close to my Heart as is the sparkling brad. Now I will admit, I love the image....love it....however, the card itself, not thrilled about. In my defense, I have had a super busy week and in between family and planning I had to get 2 DT projects done!! In the end, it is cute...but not spectacular!!

Thanks for looking and have a great week!

The DT's do some pretty amazing work and you won't want to miss it!  Here is my card using Catch of the Day:

Catch of the Day is colored with Copic markers and prisma color penciles (for the background). The paper is from Crate Paper (I just love their paper!!) The sentiment is also from crate paper. The tail has stickles on it. The purse template I made myself. Pretty cute huh?  I picked up some beads from Michaels for the handle.

It's Labor Day here in the states. So that means day off for me and the kids! We went to Sarasota, FL for the weekend. I love it there!  But soon back to reality and work!  I'm posting from afar today a card I made for the new Elisabeth Bell Digi bells DT.  You can pick up Lil' Princess Tutu HERE.

She is colored with Copic Markers. The papers are from my stash. I did something really cool last week. lol - I cleaned my craft room and re-organized my papers. Holy moly....it was amazing the stuff I found that I had forgotten about!!! hahahaha

The ticket is from Tim Holtz. The punch is Martha Stewart. You can't see it in the picture, but I put Liquid Glass from CTMH on the star wand. I actually did this using a Sketch from Mercy Kerin, however, I didn't pay attention that I had to have it uploaded to her blog by Sunday and I wasn't posting this until Monday! Oh well, it's still cute and thanks for the great sketch, Mercy! ;-)

Good News - Elisabeth Bell DT

I recieved some AWESOME news last night.....I was one of the 8 selected to be on the new Elisabeth Bell DT. She was going to announce it last night at 10 my time.  I was kinda antsy all day, I thought I had a pretty good chance but didn't want to jinx myself. So to take my mind off, hubby and I watched a few episodes of Nip/Tuck. (we never watched it before, playing catch up on Netflix streaming now!! Awesome show, btw!)  When it finally got done, I hopped onto my facebook (which I would do no matter what because I am a total Facebook addict and how can life go on if I do not know that my friends are going to bed, or if they had a good day!! hahaha Ok, I guess I need to get a life!) Anyways, she posted the DT team on her blog, when I saw my name I will admit I got a weeee bit excited. I think hubby thought I was a nutcase.  He just doesn't get it.

This is also the same man that couldn't understand why I was so excited when I sold my first card!!  He was like....ok so you sat in your craft room for how many hours to make these??? and you sold it for how much???  lol  Once again, he just doesn't get it. I mean, how cool is it when somebody actually wants to buy and in my opinion pay decent money for one of your cards!  I personally think it's wonderful!  He also views my cards as sentimental, like each one has a little piece of me.....so I guess he redeems himself there! How sweet is that?

So in closure, I'm super excited and honored to be on the DT for Elisabeth Bell. She is an amazing artist and I have always loved her images.

Miss you!

I was a happy little camper this week. I have a couple of Elisabeth Bell images but I had  no idea that she had Digi's!!  Wow! I have become a fan of Digi's over the last few months. At the risk of repeating myself, I was leary on making the digi dive, because it's not stamping! However, I had to change my outlook to "I am a papercrafter" once I did that, it was ok to buy digis!! So a Digi fan I am! I love that I can buy it and download it instantly. I love being able to print it to the size that I want. I love that I can merge images together and make a "scene". They are fabulous. I do advise you to try them once if you haven't tried any yet!

You can find Elisabeth Bells images in Rubber and now a few are available as a Digi. On top of all of this, Elisabeth Bell is having a DT call. Oh my, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to be on her DT!  Her drawings are fabulous. I mean, they are really, really great!!  So here is my submission in hopes of being considered for Ms. Bells' DT.  It is "I love you this much" by Elisabeth Bell.

I Love You This Much is colored with Copic markers and Prisma Color pencils for the background. The flowers are from Prima. The butterfly is a MS punch. The papers are from a DCWV stack and CTMH. The sentiment is from Just-Rite.

Challenges:
Papertake - Something old, new or blue
Digital Tuesday - Butterflies or lace
Dutch Dare - Anything Goes
Sweet Shop Sketches - Sketch
Creative Card Crew - Cute and Girlie
