Bloom with Happiness!

Good morning! I hope everybody had a great weekend. I had a pretty good one. It was a much needed one too! Saturday I had the pleasure of taking a class by Donna Downey....let me tell you, what a hoot she is! I really must say I enjoyed her class so very much and she was just fun!  I learned so pretty neat mixed media techniques too! Now I just need some time to sit and play!!

Big news!!! iCopic has changed it's name!!  iCopic is now - Markerpop!  Why do you ask? Well, keep checking out the store, some new markers lines will be available for you soon.  So I do hope that you will continue to support Markerpop!   Not kidding when I tell you FAST shipping. I dont know about you all but when I order something I want it right then!!  So when something is shipped to me I LOVE when I get it within a couple of days and I always have with Markerpop!!

I have used 3 different stamps here. The little girl and sentiment are from Sitting Lovely and the couch is from Sitting Cute. To begin, I stamped the little girl out and then stamped out another one from a thin piece of paper or a post it note. Cut her out and used her as a mask. Layed the mask on top of my original image and then I stamped the couch. I wanted the sentiment to look like a picture hanging on a wall. So I made a "frame" to place around the sentiment. then used a brad as the nail. I cut out the scalloped square from a grand nestie. Lucky me the cardstock already had those lovely little swiss dots on them! ;-) Added some distressing with some distress inks and layered my papers. I used some foam squares behind my image so it stands out a little more than it all just being flat.

For my second card I paper pieced the bench using come fun papers by MME. The grass was cut using a magnolia doohickey.  The park bench is from the Sitting Lovely set by The Greeting Farm.

Thanks for looking,

Sit and Chat - TGF

Good morning! So would you believe that I was struck with another throat infection again!  I had the same nasty bug only 2 months ago! ack! It was miserable and I am just FINALLY feeling better.  I hate being sick. I hate sitting around and doing nothing, which is what I have HAD to do these last few days. I'm telling you if I get this again I am not going to be a happy camper!

So did you see the latest TGF releases being rolled out by the Premier Farmers??? OMG! Can we say CUTE!  Cheeky Geeky is like so amazing! I can't wait to see the rest!!  My buddy, Wendy, is one of the Premier Farmers and she put the PERFECT sentiment with Cheeky Geeky. You have to check it out for yourself. Warning to you Wendy - totally stealing that sentiment!!
Today I am here to show you another one from the last release. This one is calling Sitting Casual.  I pair him up with some MME papers. Paper pieced his shirt to coordinate.  Kept it nice and simple!  I'm starting to REALLY love simple!!

See you next time!

Cupcake Gift Box

Good morning!  New challenge today at Magnolia-licious!! This weeks inspiration challenge is brought to you by yours truly.  Here's the inspiration photo:

It is fitting for me as I LOVE anything cupcakes!  For this project I decided to make a cupcake giftbox. It's my own design. I freehanded the frosting and the base fronts and backs. Then I just made a basic box for the inside

I wasn't quite sure how to get it to close, so I adhered the cherry onto a small clothespin! Works out perfectly.
I used Chef Edwin masked on top of the Muffin. Chef Edwin is available in the store, but I didn't see the muffin at this time. However the Mini Love Muffin is available and it is adorable!  Be sure to check out my teammate, Jane's, fabbie creation she did using a regular sized muffin and the mini muffin. It's beautiful!

Would love for you to play along with us in the challenge. As always the prize is a $25.00 gift certificate to the store

Frame It - La La Land

Good morning!  I hope everybody had a great weekend! I know I did. I took a couple extra days off (friday and today) because I just needed a mental break!  Lots going on and I needed a time out!  I was even a bad (or good depends on how you look at it) mommy and let the kids play hookie from school on Friday. We had lunch then spent the day at the pool. It was gorgeous out and I really needed some sun!! I also made a pinterest inspired dinner for my brother, sister and their families.  The rest of the weekend we kind just hung out and watched a few movies, I colored a little...it was just nice.  Back to the grind tomorrow though ;(
Today is Challenge day at La-La Land Crafts. This weeks challenge is to "Frame it". So take that I do whatever inspires you to frame it. I had a couple ideas from actually framing a piece or having the image on the inside of the card framing it with the outside of the card. I ended up going for my little one in a frame. I have had this spellbinder forever and had never used it, so I was kinda glad to get to.

The ruffles on Ruffles Marci were also pinterest inspired!! I saw the CUTEST ruffled apron done in rainbow colors on pinterest a few days ago and I thought of Ruffles Marci. So of course I had to replicate it!!

Red: R20, R22, R24
Yellow: Y11, Y15

Party Time....w/ Fergus

Morning all! It's my day to post on the iCopic Lovers blog and I am a wee bit late! ;-(  Lots going on in my life at the moment....but it will all work out and be ok!

Today's card was created using Party Time Fergus from Wild Rose Studios. I colored him with Copic markers. I used Copic Opaque white to add the dots on the partyhat. The paper is a 6x6 paper pad from Simple Stories.  All of these products can be found in the iCopic Store.

Hugs and Smiles!

Good morning! I'm running late with my post today, I apologize.  There is a new color challenge with the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog. Today we are using bright, vibrant colors of the rainbow!

I masked Tilda w/Watering Can along with Lazy Summer flowers. I also colored and cut out the birds from the post/sign stamp. I didn't see that available in the store though. If you are interested in it, please check with Diana to see when it will become available.

It's all colored up with Copic markers. I used a mask and sponged some light blue for the clouds.

Please join us in this weeks challenge!!  Our challenges run for 2 weeks and the prize is $25.00 gift certificate to a random winner.

Superstar!

Morning all! Short and sweet today as I am just not up to a long post today. Had a rough couple of days ;-((

I mentioned last week I am a Guest Designer for La La Land Crafts for the month of April and May. This weeks challenge is "Unusual Haircolor". As you can see, my little Cheeky Monkey has some vibrant green hair!

I love the sock monkey hat on her. My mom has always had a thing for sock monkeys so now I do as well.  My mother use to make them years ago. You could easily find the socks all over back then. Now you have to order them and they are made specifically for sock monkeys. Just not the same too me!!!

I masked Cheeky Monkey on top of the brick wall and stamped some clouds randomly on the page. She was colored up completely in copic markers. Here is my list:

Hair: YG11, YG13, YG17
Monkey/Shoes: E40, E42, E43, E44
Red: R20, R22, R24
Black: C3, C5, C7
Shirt: R20, R22, R24
Skirt: B00, B01, B02, B04
Brick Wall: R01, R02, E04, E40
Grass: YG61, YG63, YG67
Clouds: C00, C1, C2
Sky: B000, B0000
Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20

Farm Fresh Challenge and 2 minis.....

Good morning all!  I'm here today with this weeks Greeting Farm Challenge, which is themed "Good things come in Small Packages".  But first I want to get you up to speed on some changes over at The Greeting Farm Blog and with the Farm Fresh Challenges.

One of these changes is that, ALL CHALLENGES from now on will be issued on the TGF Blog.We figured it will be easier for you guys to have ONE CENTRAL PLACE to post challenges and will continue to use InLinkz w/ a LINK in the TOP LEFT CORNER of the TGF blog each week as well to remind people of the Challenges posted for that week.

We are very excited to bring you the following lineup of challenges for the rest of 2012:

*FARM FRESH FRIDAYS- a general themed challenge each Friday, we are going back to our "roots" with this one and will now be doing a "FFF" challenge issued by rotating DT members on Fridays and we have a FABULOUS lineup for you so far! A Rubber Prize will be offered up weekly.

*RETRO-FRESH Challenges each month on the 2nd Wed. of the month with an even BIGGER prize offering!
*SATURDAY SKETCHES on our SCS forum with a Rubber prize weekly

Since we got all that out of the way, on to this weeks challenge. We would like you to create something small, because Good things Come in Small Packages! What we mean by that are small boxes or small cards. The cards that I created today are 4x4. You know what I love about small cards, they are sooooo easy to put together. Once colored these took me minutes to throw together.

I used Glimmer and Shimmer Bean from the last release. I can't begin to tell you how much fun they are to color. Their hair is amazing!

Now come check out The Greeting Farm blog and see the other DT's inspiration and join us in this challenge!  Can't wait to see!!

Exciting News!!

So guess who is a guest designer for La La Land Crafts for the next 2 months???? Yep, ME! ;-)  I was very excited when I was asked...thanks Rosie!

This weeks challenge at La La Land Crafts is to RECYCLE! I had a shirt that had a belt made from ribbon. I got rid of the shirt awhile back ago but I kept the ribbon belt. It was a thick black satin piece of ribbon, I figured it would get used at some point!  When I saw the theme this week was to "Recycle" I thought that ribbon would be perfect.

Today I used Easter Marci . As I said before the ribbon is recycled from a shirt I had. The paper is from Crate Paper. Sorry about the photo. I took it outside, but I think it was almost TO sunny! Go figure!

The copic colors I used are as follows:
Hair: E50, E51, E53

Yellow: Y00, Y11, Y15, E31, E30, E33

Dress: YR61, YR65, YR68

Basket: E42, E43, E44

Eggs: RV10, R83, YG11, YG17, B01,B04

Sky: B000, B0000

Grass: YG61, YG63, YG67

You can see the other DT's Creations on the La La Land Crafts Blog.  If you join us in the challenge, which we hope that you do, be sure to upload your card/project to our Customer Gallery.

Hugs,
