Hello There! Magnolia-Licious DT

Good morning! Hope you all had a great weekend. I had a super busy weekend. Story of my life lately.  My husband and I have been car hunting. I have a list a mile long and I wanted to test drive my favorites to get that list narrowed down. I came home more confused then when I left. Still do not know what I want!!!  I loved the BMW328i but it's not the most practical family car. The back seat was a bit small for the whole clan. So I am going to look some more next week. I was really hoping that I would get into a car and just know...that was the one! When I got my SUV, thats how it was. I knew I wanted it and when I drove it I LOVED it. But I am tired of driving my gas guzzling large vehicle. But when you are use to all that room it's so hard to downsize, ya know!!

Anyways.....Memorial Day is coming up this weekend here in the states. Any plans? BBQ's?  My and my family will be enjoying the weekend together with lots of sun, swimming and fun! I can't wait. It will probably be a quiet week for me in blogland. Good chance I will only have about 1 post in the next week or so!!

Today I have for you a sweet little "Hello" card using Hello Butterfly Tilda from the Butterfly Collection. We have an inspiration challenge at Magnolia-licious this week. The photo was chosen by the talented Norma this week. When I saw the inspiration I wasn't sure what I was going to do. I LOVE the colors in it so I ended up going with that.

You can purchase Hello Butterfly and the Summer Background at Magnolia-licious!!!  I colored them both with Copic markers. The papers are from K&Company and MME. The sentiment is CTMH.  I added some stickles to the flowers and the butterflys.

Be sure to stop by the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog to see the inspirations cards from the other DT. They are amazing! Also, please play along with us. We do a random draw for a $25.00 gift certicate to the Magnolia-licious store!

Have a Honey Day!

Morning!  Super quick post and I will get back on a little later and add all the links! Sorry! It's my anniversary today and the hubby and I have a few plans for the day. If you get a chance check out the Paper Sundaes blog and see how the rest of the DT "popped it up" on their cards.  I popped the lid to the honey pot and the image itself.

Colored with Copic markers. Added liquid glass to the honey. The Flower is a handmade rolled Felt Flower. It came out so dark!  The paper is from Sassafras.

Be back a little later for more details!!

Happy Anniversary

Evening All!  My 12 year anniversary is coming up in just a couple of days. Yahoooo! ;-)  So that means that I have been with my wonderful husband for 12 years and 2 months. Yep, you read that correct. We got married after just 2 months!!!!!! ;)  He was the "one".  I have never regretted a single day either!! Hrmm...well maybe one or two! hahahaha

I made my husband a card, not that he will even remotely care! But, truth be told, it didn't start out as a card for "US", hence, the blond hair on the boy. Which I will probably be going over with some Browns later on!! ;-)  I was just coloring to color then I looked at it and found this wonderful sentiment and said, yep...this would be a perfect anniversary card. However, I did make an Anniversary card a few months back that I had intended to use as "OUR" card. You can check it out HERE.

The same is "A Kiss for Chloe"  "First Kiss" and the papers are from Echo Park "For the Record". I love this line. I actually used it in my previous card too!!  That fabby sentiment is from CTMH. I cut the scallopped square out with my Grand Nesties. I made the Tag myself and used my Tim Holtz mini stampler to adhere the ribbon to it.  And of course it's all colored with Copics! ;-)

Happy Birthday 2 U - Book Box

Good Morning!!!!!!  You may think I am excited, but really I'm' not!!! It's Sunday and although I love a new challenge at Paper Sundaes, it also means an end to the weekend and work tomorrow morning. So sad! I think I need to be back on my Cruise..yep. Anybody a travel agent? hehehe JK!!

Anybody see Something Borrowed? I saw it yesterday with my girlfriends and I thought it was really good. Close to the book (which is always good IMO) not exact..but it was still good. I do hope they make the book "Something Blue" into a movie too!  I really liked the book. Right now I am reading "Beastly", it's pretty good so far. Not a long book, I should be finished with it tonight. After that I have to find a new series or author to read. Any suggestions..please let me know!  I am always on the look out for new authors and series. I'm not big into Sci-Fi...but I love most other types of books. I even like the Tweeny vampire type books. I just read a great series (My Blook Approves) by a E-book auther, Amanda Hocking. Personally I thought it was much better than Twilight...yes you read that right!! Next in line is "The House of Night" series.

On to my project. We are having a Birthday celebration at Paper Sundaes and Simon Says Stamp is our Sponsor!!  We would love to see anything Birthday - cards, gift bags...projects. Whatever...let's see them. I had this bright idea to make one of those books that i have been seeing around the blogs. I got the idea off the Whiff of Joy Tutorial blog.  I loved the concept, but it was not the easiest thing to put together, for me at least. First, all the directions I was able to find are in cm's. 2nd, it's not easy to get these folds to go together. But it's done and I do LOVE how it came out.

I colored "Tilda with Flower Pot" with Copic Markers. Simon Says carries these items!!  The paper is from an awesome 6x6 Pad from Echo Park.  The ribbon is Stampin' Up. The film strip is from Tim holtz and the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

I do love how it came out...I just wish it wasn't such a pain the you know what to put together!! Haha  Somebody quite special will be getting this..lol  You know, one of the few people that you know appreciates the work thats been put into it!!

Now, check out the other DT projects, you are sure to get some inspiration!!  -  Paper Sundaes DT  Also the new DT for Paper Sundaes was announced the other day. We have 4 fabulous ladies joining us!! YAY!  Another annnouncment. I LOVE my Paper Sundaes girls, however, my schedule has been a bit hectic lately so I will not be designing for them FULL time anymore. I do plan on joining in a couple times a month but it will not be weekly as in the past! ;-(  Maybe in a few months things will slow down for me and I will be able to dedicate the proper time!! Until then I will stay a part-timer!

Love and Marriage....

I was thinking of a title for this card and love and marriage come to mind. Not that I wanted to use it, but now I have that atrocious theme song from "Married with Children" on my mind and it just won't go away! So it's staying, the title that is!

Anywho... quick post this morning for you. I have to run out and take a class this a.m. then I am meeting up with my girlfriends for a little lunch and a movie. We plan to see "Something Borrowed". I hope it's good. I just love Kate Hudson and Ginnifer Goodwin.  Plus I finally read the book last week and thought it was quite good. Then I read the follow-up to it this week (Something Blue) and really loved that one. So....thats the plan for today.

My card is for the Color Me Creative Copic Challenge. The theme/picture was a beautiful White Wedding Cake. I have used an image from LOTV.

I colored the image with Copic markers. I had the idea for a Circle card in my head and I was going to do a cute fancy border but it just wasn't working. So the other day I remembered my sweet friend Wendy made a circle card and used ruffled ribbon around the border. So I followed suit! I liked the way it turned out. It's a bit CAS for me...I had to stop myself from adding more as I was going for a Clean and Simple look.

If you have a chance this week please join us in the challenge.

B&W Birthday Wishes

Good morning all!  Not much going on with me this week. I have totally not  been in the crafting mood since getting back from vacation. Luckily I had this completed prior to going! This weeks challenge at Magnolia-licious was picked by wonderful Norma. It's a color challenge and she wants us to use Black, white and 1 other color. I chose pink. You don't have to do a B&W image, but I have always wanted to do it and it was a challenge for me but I love it!

I made the flowers.....ok, so they are nothing special, but they are made by me and that is special! Haha. Seeing other peoples flowers I am actually kind of embarrassed showing these off!!!!

I popped out the flowers in the pot she is holding. Don't know what I was thinking when I decided to do this...that was some tough cutting!!

I colored  Tilda with Flower Pot using Copics. I believe they were all C's.  You can pick this Tilda up in the Magnolia-licous store HERE. She is too cute!  The papers are all from Close to my Heart. Not many other details to share!

So hop on over to the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog and check out all the fabulous designs by the other DT members and be sure to join us in the challenge because Ms Diana always gives away an awesome $25.00 gift certificate to her store!!

Blog Candy WINNER!!!

HELLO!! I'm back!!!  So I had a WONDERFUL vacation away.  My family and I took a 7 day cruise on the Oasis of the Seas!  It was awesome! The weather was gorgeous, the ship was fabulous! The ship...it was enormous. I hadn't realized how big until it was docked at ports and other cruise ships would pull up next to us. WOW!  The first day finding our way around was overwhelming!!

We did the western caribbean and had 3 stops. The first was a private destination - Labadee. It was just a beautiful, tropical paradise. My son and husband did the Dragons Breath Zip Line, which is one of the longest and tallest zip lines. My little girl and I hung out on the beach and took in the sun and ocean.

The following day we went to Jamaica and climbed Dunn's River Falls. It's a waterfall that you can actually climb up. It's alot of work, but so beautiful. Then we did some shopping at the port.

Our last port was Cozumel, Mexico. We were there for Cinco Di Mayo...we thought that was pretty cool. Although I think it's a "holiday" we celebrate more in America than they do in Mexico...lol So to celebrate my hubs and I had our share of Strawberry Margaritas at Carlos and Charlies.

Then we had 3 days in between of cruising at Sea! I loved those days, we just relaxed at one of the 5 pools on the ship. Saw a few awsome shows. The shows were phenomenal. We saw Hairspray, "Come fly with Me" a Royal Caribbean production, Oasis of Dreams (a water show) and a few others. They were all fabulous. Amazing the things they can put together on the ships!!!

Right now I am detoxing from all the food we ate! Holy cow...lol

So I just got home a little bit ago and I will share some photos later, but I had a few ppl ask about the BLOG CANDY so I wanted to draw it and announce the winner.

I used random.org to pick the number and the number is....DRUM ROLL...can you hear it? hehe

60 - *ALISON*

Congrats Alison..please email me at scrapgirl1210@gmail.com to claim your prize!!!

Pretty cool too that Alison is the owner of the very FIRST Design Team that I was on!! She creates some fun digis "Stretch n' Bubbles" you should check them out sometime.

Thats it for now, I may have some more Blog Candy coming up in the next few weeks!!

Mini Magnolia

Hello...it's almost time for the weekend. Can you feel it? Just hold on, we are getting there!!  Super quick post today - Diana with Magnolia-licious asked her DT if we could make some card fronts for her to take to CHA. Here is on that I did. Super quick, super easy to do. Loving these mini magnolias more and more...

After I stamped this up and colored her I felt I should have moved her over some more so you could see all of the fence. I still like it though. I paired "Will you be my Valentine Tilda" up with paper from the Butterfly collection by Magnolia as well. You can purchase these Mini Magnolias and the papers in Dianas shop - Magnolia-licious.

Hair Color - Sweat Pea

Good Sunday Morning to ya!!  I'm only here in spirit, hehe.....I am still under my "blogger ban"..lol  (you will have to read my previous post for more info on that...or check back in about a week!! Hehe) But I didn't want to miss out on playing along with the girls over at Paper Sundaes this week. This weeks challenge was HAIR Color. I LOVE coloring hair! It's one of my favorite things to color.  I always color light to dark, esp. on hair, and I use nice flicking motions because I want it to look shiny and well, like hair!

I have finally used a Sweat Pea stamp. I think they are beautiful but quite frankly I was soooooo intimidated by them!  I mean, there is ALOT of coloring and "stuff' going on with these beauties!  I love the one that I have used, her hair is fabulous and I just love the flower in it.  So pretty!

I went with Auburn hair on her.  I used E21, E23, E25 and E29 for this hair.  Doesn't it look so shiny??

Of course she is colored with Copic markers. The papers are from a 6x6 pad from K & Company. I can't remember the name of it at the moment! Sorry. Hard to see in the pics but there is LOTS of glitter on this.

Now it's your turn, show us your hair colors and be sure to let us know what colors you used to achieve them!!!   You can check out all the other DT's creations and the hair colors they have used at the Paper Sundaes Blog.
