TGF Goodbyes...

Good morning. It's a sad morning for us here at The Greeting Farm. It's our last day and this is my goodbye ;-((  I loved this DT and I will miss all the girls on it however, I just KNOW that the girls coming in to take our places will be fabulous. So stay tuned to the new DT!!!

It's my birthday today and I am on my way out the door so I will have to fill this in a little later but this card is VERY appropriate!  I do not want to turn my new age....lol  So it sucks!   Anyways, I'll be back later to chat it up a little more!

Birthday week............

Good morning.  Lots going on. My friend has been dragging me to the gym with her and I am beat. Last night while chugging along (slowly...but surely) on the elliptical I kept thinking to myself, I bet people keep looking at me to make sure that I don't pass out. I'm sure my face is beet red by now and I look like I'm about to die!!! I had a goal to keep adding to my time on the elliptical and I did...I was exhausted and that last 30 seconds just about killed me...but I did it. Then we did some weights and today I can't quite lift my arm. Ok...I can..but dang are they sore! This is the part that I am suppose to say "it's that good sore though". Well guess what, I'm not saying that!! hehe

It's my birthday week. Yes, I celebrate getting old for a week. I would rather ignore the reason for the celebration and just enjoy the celebration part, with lots of drinks. However having lots of drinks kinda ruins the gym activities...KWIM? I have lots of festivities planned over the next couple of days!  Tonight we are going to a club and hopefully do a little dancing. That should burn some of the drink calories. Then tomorrow night is dinner and movie with the girls. We are going to see Magic Mike and I hope when I get home the hubby and I can burn a few calories!! ;-)  Then Saturday (which is my "ahem"..29th birthday) it's time for 1/2 price martinis at Blue Martini, dinner and comedy club.  So if you are looking for me...I will be the girl holed up in the corner with a martini in my hand slurring my words!! Ok...I'm not THAT bad.....but I do plan on having a drink or two! ;-)

Now on to what you come over for, which I'm quite sure was not for my snarky talk!! I colored up this little cutie from Saturated Canary some time ago and have just finally made the dreaded card with her.

So whats to say about this? well, it's colored with Copics. Surprise, surprise. The tab is from MFT as is the sentiment. I wish the ribbon photographed better because it's a beautiful Plum Satin Grosgrain Double band ribbon. I got it from the Ribbon Carousel and I LURVE it!  I used my poor man's stitch on it too....My poor little sewing maching is broke and I am too cheap to buy another.  I know mine can be fixed I just need a genius to come fix the tension!!! Any takers?? Kidding...maybe I will youtube it, I'm sure there is a tutorial out there somewhere!!

Anyways, thanks for looking!!

Let's Get Together - Paper Piecing

** This is my second post for today - to see my Magnolia post, click HERE. **

Good morning! So I took my lazy behind to the gym yesterday....I'm feeling it today. Too all you people who LOVE going to the gym. I. Hate. You.  hehe ok I'm kidding, I don't hate you, I do however envy you and want to be just like ya!  It did feel good to go though, now I just need to keep going. Luckily I have a workout buddy, she goes faithfully and has been given full permission to make me feel like crapola if I try not to go!!!  Thats what I need!!

So enough talk about gym, I'm breaking a sweat thinking about it.  This weeks challenge at the Ribbon Carousel Blog is by our favorite resident show-off, Laurel Seabrook.  Laurel has been published a gazillion and one times...I kid you not!! She has asked us to use Paper Piecing. Of course you gotta use something on spool or something that comes from the Ribbon Carousel Shop to play along with us!

Today I used my favorite girls around, the Uptown Girls by Stamping Bella.  I just love these leggy, fun girls!!!  I added a piece of my favorite Teal Twill. There are loads of other colors available in the Ribbon Carousel Shop too!

Come on over and check out the other DT's Fabby creations and by all means play along with us!!

Wishing you the Best - Magnolia-licious

Good Morning. Did you all have a good weekend? It' was DREARY and RAINY here in "sunny" florida. I took everything in me to do anything. I was just fine hanging out and watching movies around the house, which I did quite a bit of! Yay for lazy weekends!

There is a new inspiration challenge at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog.  Here is the card that I created:

I used the Tilda Bride and Bridesmaid image for my card. Added  a simple background using some fishtails/banners. The matte is lacey circles from spellbinders.

Here is the inspiration photo that was picked for this week. What will you do?

Be sure to come and play along with the Dt and while you are it, check out the beautiful creations by the other DT girls....at the end of the 2 weeks there will be a $25.00 gift certificate up for grabs to the Magnolia-licious Store!

Missing You - Saturated

Hey there!  It's friday....let's do a happy dance!! Any big plans for the weekend?  I am attempting a yard sale....I hate yard sales. But, if I can get rid of stuff and make a few bucks....and hlep out some friends who are having it with me (they can't have one at their house) then what the heck.I just hate getting nickled and dimed - literally. I want to say....really...I paid 50 bucks for this....I'm asking for 2 bucks. You seriously don't think you are getting a good deal and now want a better deal?? I would rather donate it to Hospice...just sayin'!!!  So everything that I am putting out in my portion of the yard sale is stuff that I would give away and not care about!! Pray that I survive tomorrow!

So my card today is fitting because my dear hubby is going away..sniff...for the weekend. He is going to hang out with his childhood friend, they are still BF's after all these years.

I'm not real happy with the lighting on this card. The ribbon came out so dark. It's actually a nice cranberry color.   The image is from Saturated Canary and colored with Copics. Sentiment - My favorite Things and the paper is.... I can't remember!!!

Have a great weekend!

Enjoy your day....tiddly inks

Howdy ya'll! Ok, ok....I know that was a bit corny...but I couldn't help myself!!  So listen here, I have no kids this week....thats right, no kiddos for the entire week. Do you want to know what I did on my first night of "freedom"....slept! omg!  I was at work and was EXHAUSTED. I mean, like I had to get up and walk around because my eyes felt like sandbags! I went home with the best intentions of cleaning out 2 closets. Well, I got 1 partly emptied...and then stopped, sat on the couch and immediately went into lazy mode. After fighting to stay awake to get through True Blood, I finally called it a night at 9:00. That is WAY early for me.

So I am hoping that I am more awake today. Problem with going to sleep that early is I wake up so darn early!!  I have so many things I need/want to get done this week. I haven't picked up a marker in about a week now, but it's ok, I have plenty of things to keep my blog busy, which amazes me!  I am actually caught up and then some. Shocking...that never happens. I'm usually rushing to get a card made for a deadline. Not this month though...nope. Heck, I even have most of them scheduled and ready to go....high five for me!

So this cute little Wrynn I have had colored up for months now!  Ok, most of the cards I have made recently the images have been colored, paper picked out but I was DREADING putting the card together. I HATE, let me repeat...I HATE putting cards together. Just let me be and color away, would ya?  My friend, Wendy, totally puts her cards together and then finds an image that goes on it and colors it.......I don't know how she does it!!!! If I did it that way, I swear I would NEVER get a card made. I would just look at the paper pads and think..nah...I don't feel like making a card.  arghhh.

Details - Wrynn from Tiddly Inks, Paper is from Authentique. Sentiment is MFT. Rosette is from Tim Holtz die. Beautiful Ivory Jute/Burlap Twine is from Ribbon Carousel.

Sketch Saturday

I'm late getting this up but I was without my computer this weekend. I went and had a little overnight camping trip to Ft Wilderness at Disney. My in-laws took my kids there for the week, so we decided to join them for one of the nights. It's such a nice place, there is just something about sitting on beach area, watching the fireworks go off while hearing Disney music blaring in the background. Disney has defnitely got the hook up on how to get people there and hooked!!

I  am hosting Sketch Saturday for The Greeting Farm. Be sure to load your creation into the forum!!

Here is the Sketch that I used and created.

Retro Fresh - The Greeting Farm

It's Retro Fresh Challenge day at The Greeting Farm.  My image is Blush Babette from the Blush Society by The Greeting Farm.  Her and Blush Bonnie are 2 of my favorite from TGF!

The paper is MME. I used the same paper to make the Rolled flower. The big scallop is by My Favorite Things. They have some of the BEST dies...eva! Love them and I was so lucky to visit the store a couple of weeks ago. Can we say, CUTE! Love how the store looks and I had to stop after awhile because there could have been serious cause for a divorce in that store with the amount of money I could have spent!!  Can't wait to go back!

Thanks for looking today and be sure to head over to the Greeting Farm Blog and check out the other creations!

Birthday Wishes - Magnolia-licious

Good morning and welcome to our next Colour Challenge at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. So it's officially summer in our house. School is out and the kids are already bored!!!  Poor things. Gosh what I wouldn't do for 10 weeks off of work for no other reason than to chill out and relax!   Those kiddos have a pretty busy schedule though, so hopefully they won't be terribly bored. We wouldn't want that, now would we?

We had a busy weekend. My nephew came in town so we hung out at a friends house playing volleyball until a torrential downpour came. Ended the night watching that horrible NBA game between the Celtics and Heat. I really wanted Celtics to win. Not only am I a huge fan of them but truth be told, they are getting old and some of their contracts are up....so I really wanted them to get to the finals again!!! Yes, I am being a poor sport about it and I don't care. Living in Florida I get tormented about being a Celtic Fan. Not to mention, I am originally from Ohio, so I do root for some of those teams and LeBron use to be my favorite player and now I would like for nothing more than him to FAIL! LOL  Yes...I said it. I think the boy needs to be humbled for another year!!  So GO OKLAHOMA THUNDER...;-)

This weeks Color inspiration is -  Pink, Orange, White and Green....

I used Tilda w/Balloon, which is available in the Magnolia-licious Store.  I used a the dot technique for the background. The papers are from Authentique. That beautiful Bakers Twine color is cantaloupe and it is available at The Ribbon Carousel.

Be sure to come by the Challenge blog and check out all the brilliant creations from the other DT.  Join us in the challenge to win a $25.00 Gift Certificate to the Magnolia-licious Store.

Make a Wish - TGF

Good morning and happy FRIDAY! I am so doing the happy dance. It's been a long, busy week and I think I shall be popping open a bottle of wine tonight!  Hubby and I have been staying up late watching the NBA playoffs. Last night was NOT a good night for our house. Lebron (who I use to adore), decided to unleash havoc on my beloved Celtics. Argh...one more game. Let's hope my boys can bring it!!  They are getting old and I would love to see them bring another banner home!

For this weeks Farm Fresh Challenge we want to see your Masculine cards. I used Prince Ian from the lastest Greeting Farm release.

Come by The Greeting Farm blog and check out the rest of the DT's creations and hope to have you join us in the challenge!

Love You - TGF

Good Morning!  Have a little Princess to share with you today from The Greeting Farms latest release.

I used some new papers from Crate Paper. I have a new addiction, 6x6 paper pads.  I can't stop buying them!!  I have to say though, I do use them!  At least I am not HOARDING them...lol  It's tempting though!!

Also did you notice my pictures? I have been experimenting with different places around my house to take pictures. So far I am not liking many of the places. Either it's too much light, not enough light, yellow light.  It's driving me mad! I don't have great light coming in from any windows in the house. But when I take them outside they tend to make the photos look faded out and you can see the shading in the faces. argh...so aggravating.  So don't mind all the variations in lighting and backgrounds. It's just me trying to find my favorite location and light! ;-)

La La Land DIES Showcase -Brighten my Day

Good morning!  I hate Mondays. I so wish the weekend was MUCH longer!! We had a crazy busy weekend as usual. We decided to give our living room a make-over and I am exhausted. It's so much work!  I was actually "lucky" I didn't even have to do the grunt of it (painting, etc) because of a bum neck/shoulder and I am still exhausted. Exhausted from the decisions and all the running around.

I did take a moment out and we went to see Snow White and the Huntsman. It was a pretty good flick. I LOVE Chris Hemsworth...he is sooooo very dreamy! ;-) I wasn't quite sure about them casting Kristen Stewart as Snow White. The girl is always so miserable looking, but she was pretty good in it. Not the best...but better than I had expected. Regardless, Chris Hemsworth made it all worth watching! hahaha

So this is my LAST post for Guest DT for La-La Land Crafts. All the DT girls are featuring the new DIES by La-La Land Crafts. Today I used the Wave Border DIE. I cut out 3 strips of them and stacked them to make my waves.

I paired it up with Summer Luka (he's so cute).  The papers are from the new Echo Park paper pad, Paradise.  I tore some to create the "sand" and added some beautiful Leather Tan Vintage Seam Binding from Ribbon Carousel.

Now go on over to the La La Land Crafts Blog and checkout the other DT's DIES Showcase....
