It's a Blog Hop with RC and Kraftin' Kimmie!

Morning!!!
The Ribbon Carousel Crewmates are so excited to be teaming up with the designers from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps to bring you a blog hop that is sure to knock your socks off!

Can you just see all the delightful goodies from both places that I used in my card? The stamp is from the Lulu and Friends set by Kraftin' Kimmie. I paired it up with paper by Simple Stories. Did you know that Ribbon Carousel carries 6x6 paper pads...I mean they carry loads and all sorts of brands. Don't let the name fool you...there's more crafty crack at Ribbon Carousel that you could imagine!!  You will notice in so many of my cards lately I have been using this Ivory Jute/Burplap twine. I have an infactuation with it lately. I can't help it!  The sentiment is from The Greeting Farm tea time set and the die is from Whimsy stamps.

Lets talk prizes!

Hop along and leave some blog love for our designers for a chance to win one of two great prizes! The Ribbon Carousel will be giving away a $25.00 gift certificate to the store and Kraftin' Kimmie will be giving away a winner's choice of 1 stamp set or 3 individual stamps! The winner of the carousel on the Kraftin' Kimmie blog and the winner of the Kraftin' Kimmie stamps will be announced on the Ribbon Carousel blog!

PS. I also have my own Blog Candy going on right now. You can click HERE to sign up for it!!

RC - Friends Stick Together.

Good morning. This is my SECOND POST today - if you are looking for my Magnolia-licious DT Card, click HERE.

It's challenge day with the Ribbon Carousel Crew!  Suzanne is challenging us to create something based on this super cool photo she found on Pinterest:

Here is what I created this week for the Ribbon Carousel Challenge:

If you have been on my blog before you will know this is SO NOT my style of card. It's much too simple for me, but I have to say I really like it!! ;-)  I colored my "Out on a Limb" By Pure Innocence stamp with Copic markers and then used some foam squares to pop her up a bit. The cardstock is the fabulous Bazzill cardstock that is now my go too cardstock for everything. It's very heavy weight and is perfect for cardmaking.  I used "Peanut Cluster" and you can purchase it from The Ribbon Carousel. It then tied a simple knot using some Brown Grosgrain ribbon.

Your creation can be anything from cards, quilts, sewn items, paper crafts, paintings! *** Be sure to have ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace, thread (basically anything that comes on a spool). ***

We'd love for you to join us this week!

Don't forget I have BLOG CANDY on my blog, it ends August 10th so do hop on over to this POST to sign up for it!!

Tutu Sweet- Magnolia-licious

Hello! Inspiration Challenge day at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog.  Here is the photo, how does it inspire you?

Here is how I was inspired. I though this was a perfect opportunity to ink up my Tilda in Ballet Shoes.

I colored her with Copic markers. Added a flourish border. The flowers are from an MFT die. The border punch is Martha Stewart.

Thanks for looking and now go on over to the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog and play along with us!  $25.00 gift certificate to the store for a random winner!

Bazzill & Ribbon Carousel - National Lollipop Week

Good morning!! Exciting news today, RC is being featured on the Bazzill blog today to help show off the Card Shoppe Card Stock!!

Have you tried the Bazzill Card Shoppe Card Stock yet?!

Bazzill has been working with its paper mills to create the perfect premium, smooth, heavy-weight cardstock that will be a sweet treat for every card-maker. Now available in 28 coordinating colors. The paper is a stout 100 lbs. and folds with a crisp edge. It won’t warp when used with markers, inks, or mists, and can handle loads of embellishments without sagging.

Did you know that we carry all 28 colors at the Ribbon Carousel store?!
The Ribbon Carousel Crewmates have fallen in love with the stuff!

We are thrilled to be teaming up with Bazzill today to show off their amazing new card stock! Today is National Lollipop Day so the Ribbon Carousel Crewmates have created some crafty eye candy with this theme!

After you check out the cards, head right on over to the Bazzill blog AND there you find a special COUPON for the Ribbon Carousel store!

You are going to LOVE the thickness of this cardstock. For my card today I used  Candy Hearts and Sour Lemon Cardstock . I embossed the Sour Lemon, there was no tearing  just perfect embossing!  I hate when you embossing something and it tears the paper because it's not of good quality or thin!

My image is a Magnolia and she is simply enjoying her Lollipop for National Lollipop Day!

Would you like to win some Bazzill Cardstock???

Bazzill donated 3 sampler pack of the Card Shope cardstock for us to give away!
Here's what you need to do:

1. Leave a comment on this blog post.!

2. Head on over to the Bazzill Facebook page to "like" them and tell them the Ribbon Carousel sent you and then head back over to our Facebook page and tell us you did!

3. SHARE this post on your blog or Facebook page and let us know you did here OR on our FB page. If you share on your blog, be sure to leave a direct link to the post so we can stop by and thank you!

Thank for looking today and come by the Ribbon Carousel blog and see all the rest of the crewmates fabby cards!!

Welcome Little One...

Good Morning! It's friday..let's do a happy dance. This week was crazy. I had off on Wednesday for the holiday and it felt like I had 2 mondays...NOT COOL! I have very little plans over the weekend, which I am seriously looking forward to. My house is a wreck...well part of it. I have acquired all this "stuff" and I just don't know what to do with it.  I hate yard sales, I hate craigs list...I hate giving away stuff all the time...lol I want my garage back!!!

Enough of my ranting...MarkerPop (formerly iCopic) is back and the girls have been loading up the MarkerPop blog with some AMAZING creations. Today's my day, and I used Bella with Balloons by Wild Rose Studios for my card. I love this line, the elephant is just so stinkin' cute. Reminds me of Dumbo and I loved Dumbo as a child, still do, I just hate that it makes me cry every single time!!

It's all colored with Copics but be on the look out, I will soon be sharing some creations using the new Shinhan Markers that Markerpop is now also carrying!! I used some gorgeous Queen blue Seam Binding from The Ribbon Carousel

Bras are like Friends.....

Good morning!! The Ribbon Carousel and Skipping Stones Designs have joined forces for spectacular blog hop today!!

I have used the Bras Volume 1 set by Skipping Stones Designs.  Along with some Black Seam Binding from The Ribbon Carousel.  I also started using Cardstock by Bazzill. It's great, super heavy and my cards are nice and sturdy. You can find Bazzill Cardstock HERE in the store.

Notice my poor mans stitch? Hehe My sewing machine is all jacked up and I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. I think it has to do with the tension, but I am not certain. arghh..I miss my sewing machine!!

So come hop along and see what the rest of the girls have for you....don't forget to leave us a comment! Thanks bunches!!!

Ur the Bomb....

Good morning! I was feeling a little crafty and finally got some things completed so I thought I would play along with the Ribbon Carousel girls for their Independance Day - Red, White and Blue challenge!

When I saw this set, Cutie Pi, a few months back by There She Goes, I knew I had to have it. I LOVE geek humor...Big Bang Theory is my favorite show.  This set is so stinkin' cute and the sentiments are just perfect.

I used a simple knotted bow with some Red Cotton Twill from The Ribbon Carousel. Did you know that the Ribbon Carousel sells more than just ribbon???   They also carry a large variety of my favorite 6x6 paper pads. They are my go to paper for card making. This one is from Echo Park and it is called " A Boy's Life". Check out the shop for more paper lines...

MarkerPop Blog Hop....

Hello and welcome to the MarkerPop Launch Party Blog Hop. Today, we are excited because iCopic has a new name, MarkerPop: The Home of Premium Markers + Lots More! We still the same great company that you've come to know, just with a fun new look! Please be sure to check out all that is in store at MarkerPop. We even have a new MarkerPop Challenge that's starting TODAY! The MarkerPop challenge will start every Monday & it is designed to inspire you to get out all your markers & start coloring! And in true MarkerPop fashion, there will be a fabulous prize every week for one lucky participant. There is always something new and exciting at MarkerPop. Keep up with us daily at the MarkerPop Blog, where we will be posting new projects each day.

For our blog hop today, we are sharing our projects to go along with our first MarkerPop Challenge theme: Fur/Hair coloring.  Here's my project:

I love colorning hair. It's actually my favorite thing to color. That and faces. I will stamp out bunches of images and just sit and color hair and faces. When coloring hair I always flick away from myself and rotate the image as I go around. It's a more natural movement to flick away rather than towards my body. I also start with light colors and then add in my dark colors. If my dark lines are too harsh, I will go back in with my lighter colors and blend it out a little bit, but not too much because I want to be able to see the strokes.

I have used Copics on this image but I am eagerly awaiting my Shinhan Markers that MarkerPop's now carrying!  I am hoping to play a little and test them out to share with our readers!  My image is "Gifty Gwen" from Some Odd Girl.

Copic colors used:
Hair - E50, E51, E53, E33
Skin - E000, E00, E11, R11
Dress:  E81, E84
Red: R22, R24, R29, W4
Pink: RV10, R81, R85
Gray: C3, C5, C1

I hope that I've inspired you to join in on the hop. Be sure to head back to the MarkerPop Blog when you are done hopping so you can play along with our challenge this week! Click on the next name on our blog hop list below:
