Note Box - iCopic

Hey there!  This is my second post today, I have an Art Kure post below this one, so be sure to check it out!

I am so behind getting this completed this week. It's been a truly crazy, stressful couple of days. I'm just waiting for it all to end!! I haven't even felt like stamping, thats when I know it's bad!! haha  Today I am going to take my father out for dinner, he helped save one of my days. We had a leaky shower head, which turned into a huge fiasco...needless to say the wall had to be torn out and things had to be fixed and replaced. Thank goodness for Dads who happen to know how to do these types of things!!! Very lucky!

Anyways, today I would like to share with you a quick, easy note card holder I made for iCopic. I used a Grand Nestie to cut out the base and just created an easy basic box to hold "generic" note cards. The paper I used is from Bo Bunny, it's called Country Garden.

I then used the adorable CC Designs, Swiss Pixie Party Time Lucy. It's currently on backorder in the store...but it will be in soon!!

The box is approximately 4x5.

I just created simply little note cards for the inside of it.

Thanks for looking and be sure to come by the iCopic store....so many new things have came in lately and no lie, super fast shipping!

Art Kure for Crafter's Companion

Good morning. Today I am sharing with you the lastest release from Crafter's Companion, Art Kure. I have used the Large Bearded Iris. I never have sympathy cards and I always feel funny about "making" one. I don't know why, but I do. However, when I saw these new flower images I thought they would make perfect sympathy cards.

I wasn't quite sure how to color an Iris, so I used good ol' google to look up some pictures to see how the colors are. There are alot of really nice variations but I choose to use yellow and purple. I used Spectrum Noirs by Crafter's Companion to color this image.

Thanks for looking!

Happy Easter with Magnolia

Hey there Maggie Lovers!  Did anybody get to see The Hunger Games this weekend? I did and I thought the movie was pretty darn good. I still don't like the fact the book/movie is about kids having to kill each other....but it was a great book and an equally great movie. We had a family outing on Friday night to see it and then grabbed some really fancy dinner afterwards at Moe's..lol  Told you it was fancy! lol We can't help it...we have been waiting for our 2 favorite places to be located closer to home and we finally got a Five Guys and a Moe's in the last couple months. I try to stay away from Five Guys though....not the healthiest thing KWIM.

The rest of the weekend was just busy. I did pencil in Sunday for some much needed house cleaning. I hate that. Stamping was calling my name all day but I shut the door to the craft room and stayed away. My house needed some TLC after being sick for a week then away on vacation for almost 2 weeks and this past week we were hardly home. So I feel much better now that it is all clean and in order. I still won't be able to craft for the next few days though. I have family in town so I plan to hang out with them some. I am so behind on creating!!

Today we are having an inspiration challenge over on the Magnolia-licious Challenge .  The very talented Angela Wood picked out the following for our inspiration.

I was so happy to get ONE easter card completed and so bummed that is is only one!! I love making easter cards and little treat boxes, etc. I just haven't had the time this year, so sad really!

I used Tilda w/Newly Hatched Chick. I didn't see her available in the store but if you are interested check with Diana and she can let you know when it may be available.  I used Copics to color my image and added some distressing with some Tim Holtz distress inks around my paper. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Please hop on over to the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog and have a look at the other DT's Creations. Some of the girls really outdid theirselves, there are some amazing baskets and box creations this month you won't want to miss. As always if you play along with us you will be entered to win a chance for a $25.00 gift certificate for the Magnolia-licious store!

Beatrix Potter for Crafter's Companion

Good morning! Today I'm bringing you a card using the latest release from Crafter's Companion, Beatrix Potter Collection. I have used a stamp from the "Tale of Benjamin Bunny" set.  I thought it would make a perfect Mother's Day card. I love the fluffy hat! I also used Spectrum Noirs, which are new Alcohol Markers created by Crafter's Companion to color this.  They are inexpensive and so far I am having good results with the limited amount that I have.

Thanks for checking things out today and I hope you all have a great weekend! Mine is busy....not sure if I will get much creating done, fingers crossed!!!

I'm back with Popcorn the Bear!

Hello! I'm BACK!!!!!!!!!  In my last post I mentioned that I had some things going on, well the family went away for a nice long vacation. We traveled to Las Vegas and then drove 3 hours to Utah for some Skiing, then went back to Vegas and spent a couple of days bumming around. We had a wonderful time and the weather was fabulous!!!!!  My kids got to see snow, this was their 2nd time. Only the 1st time there wasn't much and then it melted so they don't include that!! lol  We hadn't expected it to actually snow , the weather forecast when we left called for a warmer days and even some RAIN! Which isn't great conditions for skiing. Luckily we were at really high elevations and they had a nice base!! Well it turned out it was colder than expected and instead of rain we got a full day of snow. It was great!  We took one day to travel to Zion National Park and another to travel to Bryce Canyon. I LOVE these parks. Hard to pick a favorite but Iwould have to go with Zion. I love driving in the canyon and walking around. Those red rocks are stunning! Although, the Hoodoos at Bryce Canyon are pretty spectacular to see too. Nothing like I have ever seen before!  Anyways, we are back now and trying to adjust to the time change and time zone changes!  It hasn't been easy.

Now I just need to get my butt in gear and start creating!!I thought I was going to get some things done this weekend. My LSS had a "Luck of the Irish Crop" and I spent Friday and all day Saturday there. However, I got nothing done. Seriously. I was too busy running my mouth and making Margaritas for everybody. I had a blast...but I got nothing accomplished!!!lol The margaritas were delish though!!!! Here's a funny, the night before I was "warned" to be nice to the ladies that would be sitting next to me the next day. You see, I can be loud sometimes...very loud. lol  So that morning I walked in with a brown bag of Tequila and some margarita mix. It was 10 am. I said, loudly, do I look like a lush walking into a liqour store at 10 a.m. getting tequila????? Well the girls laughed and said...ok we're sitting at the right table!! Now, as the day went on I am not quite sure if they still felt that way...but I don't think I scared them too badly!! I had them laughing a few times....sooooooo we'll see next crop!! haha!  Next crop I am just going to set up a bar and be the bartender....lol

On to m project!!!

I am today's Monday Inspiration hostess on the Crafter's Companion Challenge blog!! I do hope that you come by and check it out, I have some pointers and suggestions for using the new Spectrum Noir alcohol ink markers from Crafter's Companion.

I used Party Time from the Popcorn the Bear collection. It's a large image and fun to color because of the large canvas.

I was able to achieve a fair amount of shading using my limited supply of Spectrum Noirs. They are pretty easy to work with and inexpensive compared to other alcohol markers.

There is a giveaway on my post too, just follow the instructions for your chance to win one of the new Poppets. Also, our monthly challenge is going on and it's "Going Green" the prize at the end of them month are a couple of packs of the Spectrum Noirs!!  So be sure to check it out!

Happy Birthday - Magnolia-licious

Color challenge time at Magnolia-licious! Teamie, Angela Wood, wants to see the any 3 colors of the rainbow used! I have chosen Green, Blue and Orange!

Today I used Tilda with Heart Balloons. She is from the latest Sweet Crazy Love collection.  She is available in the Magnolia-licious store!  I colored her with copic markers. I used very little color in the balloons because I was trying to keep them looking transparent.  Paper is MME, sentiment is Stampin' up. Everything else is from my huge stash of "stuff" lol.

Hop on over to the Challenge blog to check out the other creations from the DT.  As always, Diana the owner of Magnolia-licious, will be giving away a $25.00 gift certificate to one random winner of the challenge blog.  So we hope you play along with us!

Glimmer Beans!

Good morning!  Notice anything strange around here lately???  Yep...not so many post lately..huh.  Well I have some things going on right now that I would definitely tell you all about in a few days...so a couple of my DT sisters graciously took some work off my shoulders....muuuah! Love them for that!  I was starting to go into a panic...thinking...how in the heck am I going to get all of this done!!!  But things will be picking back up around here....so stay tuned! ;-))  So if I haven't been by your blog lately...I have good reason....give me a few days!! ;-)

I have showed you Shimmer Bean and Sitting Lovely and Cute from the latest Greeting Farm release, today I would like to introduce Glimmer Bean.  These little beans are an entirely new line from The Greeting Farm and they are so stinkin' cute!

For the first card I kept the stamp entirely intact. So all the little sayings and designs are part of the stamp.  I used my favorite MME papers for the card. I kept it simple because I wanted the stamp to shine. Speaking of shine, I added some bling to her skirt....bc who doesn't love glitter!!!

On the second card, I wanted bold and fun so I paired Glimmer Bean up with these fantastic new papers from Bo Bunny. The colors were speaking to me. I was so excited to color her hair that magenta....and let me tell you her hair is FUN to color!  I then added BLING...hello...gotta love bling.  I used rhinestones this time. I did add brush some perfect pearls all over my girl though. It added a very nice shimmer to her. You can't see it in the photo, but it realy is a nice touch.  The border on the card was made using a basic MS border punch and I clipped slits in it to bend it around the circle.  The sentiment used is from the previous TGF release, Flutter Heart

Thanks for looking today!!

Enjoy This Day!

So listen here.....This card makes me happy...and I have had a NOT so happy week!!  I have really great things planned for today and it was IFFY if I was going to get to do those really great things. Can we say SICK...like really sick. Oh and let me tell you if I find out who the culprit is that gave yours truly Strep Throat....well...Yay....I'm gonna...hrmm...I don't know just yet what I am going to do...but I'm going to do something! LOL   So seriously, I NEVER knew that Strep could take somebody out like that. No idea! They treated it on Monday but apparently my body doesn't like wimpy doses of antibiotics...it just laughed at the Drs. Then It decided to get worse and more infected...and it didn't stop there. Nope it added in some fever and headache just to put me down for the count for a few days .  So I had to go back back to the Drs. and get another double dose shot...seemed to do the trick. I am not 100% but at least I am able to do the fun things that I am about to do....tell you more about that later. Until then...

I would LOVE to show you the latest release by The Greeting Farm!!!  These just came on on Thursday, so they are brand spankin' new!  I'm using Shimmer Bean today.  She is a new clear stamp line that The Greeting Farm came out with and can we say ADORABLE!

I just picked up some of those fun new papers by Bo Bunny, so I grabbed those as the inspiration to color her. I kept it simple and added lots of bling. Hard to see in the photo, but it's all over the place....seriously.  There's rhinestones galore and I brushed some perfect pearls by ranger over it for some added glimmer.

Thanks for looking today and you can check out the new release and get yours HERE.

Some Odd Girl - Birthday Treat Box

Good morning!  I'm here to show you a little treat box that I created for iCopic.  I used Some Odd Girl cutie "Birthday Mae". The box is very simple to make and great for treats, gift cards or a small gift.  I use the same measurements for the box and adjust the height on it to make bigger or smaller easily.

I almost feel like I cheated with this project becase these papers by "simple stories" have all these cute little sayings and such in them. So I grabbed one of them for the Happy Birthday!
