Butterfly?

Good Evening. First I want to thank everybody who looks at my blog and leaves comments. It really gives me motivation to "play". It is also killing my walllet, but that is another story!!! ;-)

I stamped the following Magnolia from a friend. It was actually one of the first ones that I colored but hadn't gotten a chance to put it together. Since coloring this, I think I have gotten better but it's still cute!

I used Stickles on the wings and Copics to color.  The sentiment is from CTMH.

Challenges: Just Magnolia

Thanks for looking

Robin Hood...

So last night my two favorite guys and I went and saw "Robin Hood" with Russell Crowe.  I had heard from some people that they didn't like it, but I went knowing that it was a prequel to all the other stories of Robin Hood. I must say, I LOVED it. I thought the story was great, I thought the special effects were wonderful. I LOVED Cate Blanchet (sp?) as Maid Marianne. She was fabulous.  Of course, Robin Hood was played by Russell Crowe who I absolutely adore. One of my all time favorite movies is Gladiator! (same directors too)

So I left thinking of my little Sherwood Edwin sitting on my desk colored but not assembled into a card. So I did what any sane (cough) person would do and I came home and put together this little guy........

I had some little chipboard trees from Maya Road which I colored using chalk cat eyes. Edwin is colored with Copic Markers. I did this one awhile ago, so I do not know which colors that I used.  My local Michael's just got in a rack full of new borders, so I snagged up this woodland border punch a couple of days ago. I love it, the corner has a bird. So cute.  The sentiment is from CTMH. Papers are random from my stash! (as usual)

I used the Friday Sketchers sketch.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!  Go check out Robin Hood, if your into that sort of thing!!

Arghhh!

appy Sunday! I have 2 quick posts tonight. First I have Pirate Tilda. It was masked and colored with Copic Markers. I love this stamp so much and I think it turned out so adorable. I'm still playing and learning how to color shades of black with the copics. I have to find the right combination.

My next card I made quickly this morning for my niece, Brianna's birthday.  I just love this little Curtsy Princess. Are you seeing a theme here??? Are there any Tilda's that I don't just love??????? ;-)  She was colored with Copics.  You can't see by the picture but I glittered her gloves, socks and the inside part of her dress.  The sentiment is from Close to my Heart and papers are from my stash.

Bubbles

I don't have much time tonight, going to play Trivia at the Tiki Bar, but I wanted to post my lastest card using Bubbles Tilda.

Don't know how well you can see, but I used Liquid Glass from CTMH on the bubbles and Diamond Stickles on the wings.

I do have a listing of the Copics that I used and will post an update a little later,  thanks for looking and all your comments are appreciated!

I came home Saturday after having a great day with the family seeing Ironman 2 and a nice dinner - to a package in the mail. I wasn't expecting it so soon.  I ran into the house and opened it to see my gorgeous new stamps, Bubbles Tilda and Flying Fairy. So on Mothers Day in between doing other things I got to ink one up and make a card....

This is totally my new favorite stamp. She was so fun to color and it's just adorable!

Create Room.......

I thought I would show you all my scrapbook room. It's definitely a work in progress. Comes down to - I need more space!!!! I have 2 work areas. One is where I usually keep my computer (under the Create Life Memories wall word (from UpperCase Living). The other space is longer and thats where I do my main work at.

That long wall on the right, I really want to put shelving there. I have intentions on doing just that, it's just a matter of when! You can't see it but way over to the left, in front of the Expedit (Ikea) is a large window and I have a workstation there as well. I purchased it from Pier One, its nice, but kind of a waste of space. I think I would rather get a 2 square high expediet and put there instead for storage. With 2 high, I would still have access to the window.  Here are some close-ups of different things in the room.

Most of my paper is in here. I need another one.....I have overflow in other places. I  got the shelf from Ikea as well. I can't remember what line it was. I got it because it was deeper than most shelves so the cropper hoppers fit in perfect. You can fit 7 across and theres enough room for 5 shelves high. So it holds quite a bit of paper.  The black ones were done purposely, they were initially for my CTMH papers. But I outgrew them so they aren't anymore.

My little  stash of Copics. I just order about 50 more though....so it won't look so sparce by sometime this week! I took a basket, from Michaels, and got some thick Foam Board and made the dividers. It works really well.I think when I gets a little fuller, it will be better. I know you don't have to store them on their side. But this is directly in front of my workspace and I can see the numbers and just grab. Works for me.

The drawers are from Ikea. I have GOOD intentions on painting them and covering them with pretty papers. I just haven't gotten around to it! My goal for the next 3 months. (I'm being realistic!!)

Just some of my embellishments. It's mostly Flowers, Buttons and Ribbons. I have overflow in photo boxes on my Expedit shelf.  I have tons of Primas......I'm trying to use them up so that I can justify an order to Wild Orchids!! lol

Thats it.....thats my Creating Space. I love it. I do what to re-arrange and finish up that long wall....but it works for me!  Thanks for looking

One Day My Prince will Come.....

I am going to first start this out by saying.....I will never...I repeat, I will never color another window from the new spring Magnolia Collection! haha  My friend bought the spring kit (I wish I had known how cool the kits are, bc I would have totally layed out some dough for one) So, last night I got a bright idea to do the stone window with the princess.  The Idea was great but I must tell you it took SO very long to color it all in. Good thing I had nothing better to do on a Friday night! I had planned on intently watching the Cleveland Cavs vs . Boston Celtics game, but seeing as though it was a total obliteration....I knew my team was going to win, so I played while I watched. GO CAVS!

I woke up this morning and finished the card. I used Copics and the papers are from the Once Upon a Time Collection by ??, sorry can't remember the name and quite frankly I'm to lazy to get up and look! Hey, it's been a busy morning!

I will admit, this is my favorite card to date. She is so very adorable. I just knew my Kara was going to love it. I mean, she's 5 and loves princesses, loves stamping. How could she not! I just had fnished when I heard her get up from bed. She walks into my craft room and looks at it with total disgust. I was floored! I said, honey....don't you like it? Isn't she beautiful???  She said....."Mom, I wanted to do that....You took my idea....thats what I was going to do."  I wanted to laugh so hard. She said everything I did was what she was planning on doing  She was so upset, so I turned it around and said...."That's why I love you so much, because we think the same way"  She now loves it and has been taking her own pictures of the card. I was also forbidden to give it to my niece for her upcoming birthday. She wants me to give it to her for her 6th birthday in August.
Copics that I used:

Here is Kara with "HER" card......She's so cute!

This card qualifies for the challenge at the following:

Play Day!

Today my friend, Lisette, came over and joined me in some creative play.  She was busy playing and learning her distress inks, while I just wanted to get some stamps inked and colored. I am pretty comfortable coloring faces on with my Copics, but I have definitely NOT gotten comfortable with coloring and shading things like dresses.  I have a pretty good selection and # difference in my Copics, but I just can't seem to get the light shades. I always seem to lay the color on quite heavy.  So I played with Copics and my Prisma colorpencils.

I won't tell you about my horrible "snow white" Tilda experience. Ok, maybe I will. I botched her hair up.....I really botched it up. But, I moved on.......I finished a total of one card!! Here she is....

Tilda is colored with Copics and Prisma Colorpencils. The flowers are Primas.

I used Flower Soft on the flowers she is holding. I haven't really played with the Flower Soft to much, but have enjoyed the way it looks the times I have.

This card qualifies for the  Just Magnolia  Challenge and Stamptacular (bc I think it would make the perfect "mom" card and Papertake Weekly, and another Charisma cardz Challenge
