Fashionably Late

Good morning! I am definitely fashionably late on this card! We have the latest challenge going on at Markerpop this week and it's "Buttons", it's started Monday but you have plenty of time to join in.

I used "Anya Styles" from The Greeting Farm.  These images are so much fun to color. They are LARGE, which can be challenging....but fun!  And the Hair...FUN! Love how it came out too.  I used papers from Paris Girl collection by Carta Bella.

Btw - I have a little Facebook Giveaway going on too.  Like MY PAGE, share it, leave a comment for a chance to win 2 stamps. One from The Greeting farm and another from Stampavie! ;-)

Thanks for looking.

Sit and Chat - TGF

Good morning! So would you believe that I was struck with another throat infection again!  I had the same nasty bug only 2 months ago! ack! It was miserable and I am just FINALLY feeling better.  I hate being sick. I hate sitting around and doing nothing, which is what I have HAD to do these last few days. I'm telling you if I get this again I am not going to be a happy camper!

So did you see the latest TGF releases being rolled out by the Premier Farmers??? OMG! Can we say CUTE!  Cheeky Geeky is like so amazing! I can't wait to see the rest!!  My buddy, Wendy, is one of the Premier Farmers and she put the PERFECT sentiment with Cheeky Geeky. You have to check it out for yourself. Warning to you Wendy - totally stealing that sentiment!!
Today I am here to show you another one from the last release. This one is calling Sitting Casual.  I pair him up with some MME papers. Paper pieced his shirt to coordinate.  Kept it nice and simple!  I'm starting to REALLY love simple!!

See you next time!

Farm Fresh Challenge and 2 minis.....

Good morning all!  I'm here today with this weeks Greeting Farm Challenge, which is themed "Good things come in Small Packages".  But first I want to get you up to speed on some changes over at The Greeting Farm Blog and with the Farm Fresh Challenges.

One of these changes is that, ALL CHALLENGES from now on will be issued on the TGF Blog.We figured it will be easier for you guys to have ONE CENTRAL PLACE to post challenges and will continue to use InLinkz w/ a LINK in the TOP LEFT CORNER of the TGF blog each week as well to remind people of the Challenges posted for that week.

We are very excited to bring you the following lineup of challenges for the rest of 2012:

*FARM FRESH FRIDAYS- a general themed challenge each Friday, we are going back to our "roots" with this one and will now be doing a "FFF" challenge issued by rotating DT members on Fridays and we have a FABULOUS lineup for you so far! A Rubber Prize will be offered up weekly.

*RETRO-FRESH Challenges each month on the 2nd Wed. of the month with an even BIGGER prize offering!
*SATURDAY SKETCHES on our SCS forum with a Rubber prize weekly

Since we got all that out of the way, on to this weeks challenge. We would like you to create something small, because Good things Come in Small Packages! What we mean by that are small boxes or small cards. The cards that I created today are 4x4. You know what I love about small cards, they are sooooo easy to put together. Once colored these took me minutes to throw together.

I used Glimmer and Shimmer Bean from the last release. I can't begin to tell you how much fun they are to color. Their hair is amazing!

Now come check out The Greeting Farm blog and see the other DT's inspiration and join us in this challenge!  Can't wait to see!!

Glimmer Beans!

Good morning!  Notice anything strange around here lately???  Yep...not so many post lately..huh.  Well I have some things going on right now that I would definitely tell you all about in a few days...so a couple of my DT sisters graciously took some work off my shoulders....muuuah! Love them for that!  I was starting to go into a panic...thinking...how in the heck am I going to get all of this done!!!  But things will be picking back up around here....so stay tuned! ;-))  So if I haven't been by your blog lately...I have good reason....give me a few days!! ;-)

I have showed you Shimmer Bean and Sitting Lovely and Cute from the latest Greeting Farm release, today I would like to introduce Glimmer Bean.  These little beans are an entirely new line from The Greeting Farm and they are so stinkin' cute!

For the first card I kept the stamp entirely intact. So all the little sayings and designs are part of the stamp.  I used my favorite MME papers for the card. I kept it simple because I wanted the stamp to shine. Speaking of shine, I added some bling to her skirt....bc who doesn't love glitter!!!

On the second card, I wanted bold and fun so I paired Glimmer Bean up with these fantastic new papers from Bo Bunny. The colors were speaking to me. I was so excited to color her hair that magenta....and let me tell you her hair is FUN to color!  I then added BLING...hello...gotta love bling.  I used rhinestones this time. I did add brush some perfect pearls all over my girl though. It added a very nice shimmer to her. You can't see it in the photo, but it realy is a nice touch.  The border on the card was made using a basic MS border punch and I clipped slits in it to bend it around the circle.  The sentiment used is from the previous TGF release, Flutter Heart

Just Because - TGF

**Second post today...scroll down for my post from magnolia-licious!

Today is my day over on The Greeting Farm blog!  I have an easy tutorial to demonstrate how I fix unclear stamped images.
When I stamped up Simply Anya, a little part of her hair didn't come out. I hate throwing images out, so if it is a small area I will fix it.

I use a Copic Multiliner. They come in different size tips. For these I usually use a .7 or .5.

Lightly draw the missing area in.

Afterwards color as you normally would. You should not get any smearing using the Copic Multiliner with your copic markers. However, if you do, you may want to try to heatset it.

I stamped the back of my card using the Made By set!

Copic colors used:
Hair: E50, E51, E53, E33
Skirt: RV10, R81, R83, R85
Shirt: YG11, YG13 and YG17
Skin: E000, E00, E11

Challenges:
Ladybug Crafts - Spring is in the Air
My Craft Spot - Girly Girl
One Stitch at a Time - Anything Goes

Valentines Treats -TGF

Don't know what I was thinking but it never really dawned on me until late this afternoon that tomorrow is Valentine's Day. I almost got the slacker mom of the year award!  I totally didn't get Valentine cards for my daughter's class.  So her and I were sitting here this evening discussing this slacker move of mine and I was going to take her to the store to pick some up. Then I thought, wouldn't it be cute to bake up some cookies, put them in a cello bag and add a quick, easy topper on them. Nothing fancy because...hello NO TIME!  Lucky for me I just got the cutest Flutter Heart stamp set in the mail a couple of days ago from The Greeting Farm!! It totally saved the day.  So off I went to bake some Chocolate Chip Cookies and M&M cookies. Side note - they were yummy!!!

**Note - the Owls are not from the Flutter heart set, everything else is**

Quick and easy treat bags for the class. You can purchase Flutter Heart by The Greeting Farm - HERE. In addition to these stamps it has some of the cutest banners!! You will definitely be seeing those around my blog soon!

You're Beautiful.....TGF

Morning!  Quickie post for me today. I just wanted to share with you another card using the adorable Ms. Anya Garlands from The Greeting Farm
I colored her up and popped her up from the page. The Sentiment I used is actually from the Lucky Bunny stamp set also by The Greeting Farm!  The paper is used is from MME. It's from one of the newer Kraft pads they have. I believe it's called Happy day???

That's all from me today!  Enjoy you Sunday!

You're Awesome - Madden

I am so patting myself on the back! I managed to eat extremely well last night for the Superbowl. Yes, this is a huge accomplishment for me! I have none of that stuff called willpower..none I tell ya!  Great game last night. I am not a fan of either. I started watching rooting for the Giants but quickly changed my loyalty to the Patriots all because of an obnoxious Giants fan that happened to be sitting where...behind me of course!! Not only could he NOT sit, but he was loud, annoying and there! haha

This is the second year we went out to watch the Superbowl and I must say, I am not a fan. I would MUCH rather sit at my home or somebody elses, with friends and good food. It's so much more enjoyable.
So does my Madden look familiar? Yup, those little hair hightlights were defnitely inspired by yours truly. hehe My hair is more brown with red hightlights though! See it hereThe Greeting Farm's last release included Madden. I used my new copic N's for her hair. I never thought I needed or wanted them but I'm so glad that I picked them up recently. I love them.  My red highlights were done using R30's. The khaki colors are E50's.  I picked up a nice sentiment set from MFT that included the You're Awesome sentiment. The paper is from the Lost and Found MME collection.  I kept this card super simple, for me, and I don't know about you, but I love how it came out. It helps that Madden is super cute too!

Thanks for taking a peek!

You're the best and a Tutorial!

Quickie post for me today. I am showcasing a simple tutorial on The Greeting Farm Blog today.
I used Simply Anya and I just adore how versatile she is and fun to color!
I grabbed these fabby papers rom my LSS awhile back ago. I love gray and pink together, always have. However this gray is not your standard gray and besides that I didn't have any gray ribbon or lace. So I used my handy little copics to color it to match my papers.

These papers are by Authentique and are part of the "Free Bird" collection.

I grabbed my W4 copic because that is what I used to color up my sweet "Simply Anya"

You don't have to worry about every nook and crannie, the ink will spread and fill in some areas for you.

Here is the finished product perfectly matched to my papers.
Thanks for stopping by and stop by The Greeting Farm Store to pick up your Simply Anya!

Lucky Bunny!! - TGF

Hello Monday morning! It's so not nice to see you. LOL  Why, oh why do weekends go by so very quickly!  I was having a perfect weekend....and then Monday showed up! It's just not fair.  This past week I decided to try my hand at "meal planning". Right now I just run into the grocery store whenever, usually after work, and grab what I "THINK" I might need to make dinner. However, I ALWAYS grab way more than I actually need because I forget what I have already at home and I will grab things that are on sale that we always use. So basically I have accumulated numerous items in my freezer and pantry. Sometimes those things sit for long periods and then I end up having to pitch them which is so darn wasteful. So I decided to meal plan. I took a 12x12 frame and added some pretty DP in it and using a dry erase marker I have wrote down all the meals for the week that I am going to make. Now, cooking 7 days is not realistic in my household. So I only planned for 5 meal for the week. The other 2 are for going out and/or leftovers! I then inventoried my entire pantry and freezer. I grabbed my recipes and wrote down all the ingredients that I was lacking.  Guess what I had to buy...2 things! LOL  I was floored and I planned some pretty darn good meals!!  We'll see how this goes. So far so good. Today is day 3....we are having marinated grilled chicken w/a veggie, simple but good. I'm saved the easier things and crockpot items for during the week.

I did get loads of cuties colored up this weekend and even managed to get a few cards made. You can check out some of the images I colored on my Facebook Page - HERE.  Be sure to "like" my facebook page too...I'm going to start doing giveaways via facebook!!

Today I would like to share with you another cutie from The Greeting Farm. This little guy is from the Lucky Bunnies set. I also added a "made from the heart" stamp on the back and it comes from the Made By set which is also from The Greeting Farm.

I used the swiss dots embossing folder on plain white cardstock from my background. I added some ribbon, tied it off at the and added a button.  Hard to see from the picture, but there is a thick coating of Glossy Accents on the balloon.

Thats all for today! I'll be back tomorrow with a tutorial at The Greeting Farm Blog and a new challenge from Magnolia-licious!!

Rain or shine, I'm gunna love ya!!!!!!!!

I recently purchased the "Rain, Snow, Shine" set from The Greeting Farm .  I love The Greeting Farms stamps they are just so girly and cute. I did this next card for the Friday Sketchers Blog. I did sew it, but it is kinda of hard to see. Oh well, I tried!  The sentiment is from a set from My Favorite Things. I used  Copics to color. I think I am a little heavy handed on the Copics. I'm not sure how to stop this from occuring, but I have noticed it. I guess practice, practice!  Here she is:

And here is the sketch......

By the way don't you just love those papers. Without getting my lazy butt up and walking into my craft room, I think they are from Basic Grey. I took a little trip to Everything Scrapbook and  Stamps in Lake Worth, Fl and picked up those lovely papers last week. I think I should have bought more....I can many more cards being made with those in the future.  Did I mention they are double sided. I just LOVE doubled sided papers...makes it so much easier to match up.

Thanks for looking and I am going to go check out some other challenges that this could be part of too! ;-)
