Such a nice Thought - Paper Sundaes

Good morning! Really quick post today. I've had a busy weekend and will get back on later this afternoon to update this with links and such...sorry! It dawned on me at the last minute that I hadn't scheduled this post...so I'm in sort of a rush now! yikes!

So here goes my card for this beautiful Sunday morning.
The image is from Stampavie, the artist is Tina Wenke. I love her little animals. I'm still forcing myself to color animals...fur and I do NOT get along...just ask my friends. hehehe The paper is from K& Company. That cute little sentiment was one of my bargain that I got for 10 cents at my LSS's yard sale she had!! Sweet huh.... and it had 3 or 4 more sentiments! The sentiment is from "The Angel Company".

Papers Sundaes has a photo inspiration for you this week and we are being sponsored by Michelles Scrapbooking and more... The DT's as always have some gorgeous creations to inspire you...so go check them all out!!

Have a good one,

Ms. Diva....

I am SOOOO very late posting this. It should have went up over the weekend, but I had a crazy - busy weekend!!  My girlfriends and I got together on Saturday and made 6 projects together. They were all adorable and quite different from each other.  Then we met up with some friends for a drink at a local lounge, it just happens to be near the beach and it was the night of the "Super Moon". That was pretty cool. We walked over to the beach and the water was up so high. When we walked up the berm we couldnt go any further because the tide was up the high! It was crazy. I have never seen it that high.  The ocean was strangely calm too...like glass. Which made for a beautiful night. The moon was glistening off the water beautifully!

On Sunday I went with a friend to see "Red Riding Hood". I thought it was really good. I was pleasently surprised!  We intended on seeing "Beastly" but changed our minds. Then we did some shopping damage. It was a busy weekend that just flew by.

While I was busy with the weekend, I forgot to put up my CMC Bday Challenge post..;-(   Bad Tracy!!  I did get it uploaded so Suzanne could post it on the CMC site, but never made it to my blog!

The challenge was to use Purples, Yellows and Creams....I used Copics to color the image and the image is from Mo' Manning.  Speaking of, have you seen the new "fuller figure" woman she has release this last week? Omg  - So cute.  Not sure who I would give them to...but I LOVE them! I guess I like them so much because I am a fuller figured gal who happens to be  pretty comfortable with myself. I mean, of course I would love to lose a few lbs (ok more than a few) and I would be totally happy...but I am not going to sit around and feel sorry for my tubby butt with a container of Ice Cream. I think I am cute and thats all that matters!  I will go to a club and dance with all the skinny hotties...and not give a darn!  So check out these cuties...

Come over to the Color Me Creative Classroom to see all the other DT's work when you get a chance!

Not much else to say, I think that was long enough!!!

Challenges:
Crafts n Me - Anything Goes
Spoonful of Sugar - ribbons, pearls, flowers
My time to Craft- Ladies day (young or old)
Stamping Vacation - Playing Dressup
Catch the bug - baby or child

Hoppy Birthday - CMC Sketch Challenge ......

Well hello! I have had quite the busy week.  I have been working feverishly at working ahead for some commitments but everytime I think I am done...I see one I forgot! yikes! Like this one! lol CMC is having a birthday celebration this week and Suzanne has came up with an awesome sketch for all of us. I recently went crazy with some LOTV's and this is one of the ones that I picked up. I think this bunny is just SOOOOO Adorable. He makes me happy!
As usual I have colored it with Copic markers. The paper is from my stash. The little postage stamp sentiment is from Whimsy stamps.
Here is the sketch that Suzanne gave us to work with. If you get a chance you should hop over to the CMC site, you do have to join, but anybody can join. Suzanne is giving away a slew of awesome prizes for a few more days.

This next card I am putting in for the Make It Colourful Challenge . My little girl made it for her kindergarten teacher (last years teacher). Ms. N (her name was difficult for them to say, she had them call her Ms. N) took another job and is no longer at the school and my daughter is NOT happy about that. She misses her. Alot.

Here is the inside. My little one is 6 and she knows how to spell pretty well, if she would just take her time, she does even better. But I love when she writes how she thinks it sounds. It's just to precious. She made the most awesome restaurant menu with pictures and words. I love it. My son never really did this. Her on the otherhand constantly makes my husband and I cards and drawings. It's adorable.

Notice how she corrected "good" and "day". LOL  The rest says "Hi Miss N. I just want to say that I love you so much".
So adorable! That's my little Kare-bear (her nickname)

Don't forget I have BLOG CANDY!!!! Add your name to Mr. Linky HERE
Thats it for today. Have a great one! So glad that the weekend is around the corner!!

Blogoversary -BLOG CANDY!!!!!

Good Evening! Well I can hardly believe it but I will be celebrating my 1 year anniversary on my blog!! Yea me! Now technically I started a blog wayyyyyyyy before that, but I didn't really "Blog" KWIM.  I had a couple of sporadic post but thats about it. Anyways,  1 year and 200+ followers later here I am still steady blogging. I love it. My friend Lisette and I started about the same time. She was my inspiration to start and she has also been my enabler the entire way. Meaning, without her, I probably would have that new car I want/need and I probably could have squeezed a few extra vacations in this year!!! But I was blessed with daily emails to check this blog or that online store out to see all this crazy cute stuff that I just couldn't pass up. I have continued to blog because I need an excuse on why I bought over 100 magnolias in less than a year...and 250 copics...and...you see where this is going??? lol Thank you Lisette! LOL I love all my card making supplies!!!
I truly have enjoyed blogging and I love all the friends (close and faraway) that I have come across via blogland. That is why it has been so much fun!!  I also love and appreciate all the comments that come my way. Crafters are a great bunch of ladies and because of that I want to spread some love via BLOG CANDY!

Of course there has to be rules. ;-(
        1. You must be a follower (remember - follower = friends and I'm sharing some love with my old/new   friends here!!) - you can become a follower if you are not already a follower.
        2. Please display this candy on your sidebar or into a blog post on you blog. :-)  You know - spread the love!
        3. Sign up with Mr. Linky below!!

And if you want....leave me a comment. Tell me why you like to blog or how you started?  (this part is not mandatory to win the candy)

Blog Candy Ends - APRIL 30th.   Good luck!!!

Keep it Simple & Go Green - Paper Sundaes/Sentim. Sundays

Good morning all! I have been fighting a cold the last few days..yuck.  I haven't been sick in awhile and I am NOT liking it! Just makes me feel all crummy. I did get out of the house yesterday for a few things. It was a GORGEOUS day here in Sunny South Florida. 72 degrees and not a cloud in the sky.  My kind of weather. Though I wasn't feeling 100% we did venture out on a bike ride with the children. We thought it would be quite relaxing to just ride. We have a couple nice bike loops we can take near my house.

Well - first off. We have been trying to teach my 6 yr old how to ride a bike. All she does is argue with us why we are wrong. So she hasn't learned yet. In order for us  to go on a ride I bought another set of training wheels. I'm thinking....this will be great. She LOVES to ride (or at least she use to!)  Well I bought trainings wheels that truly do help - the bend if she leans to much. So she has to try to keep the bike straight, or she could fall more easily than with traditional training wheels.  OMG - you would have thought the world ended. We rode for 9 miserable miles. We had not 1...not 2...but multiple meltdowns!! LOL Then there are a few spots where we have to cross a relatively busy road to get to the "loop" and back home", well...she decides to have one of the meltdowns in the MIDDLE of the road...omg!  Cars are coming....I'm like..come on...we got move it....she is yelling "I CAN"T" I DONT WANT TO...lol   Wow- what a mentally stressful ride that was on an absolutely gorgeous day!!  We kept going though, I thought, eventually she is just going to "get" that balancing thing on the bike.  So this morning...we are going on another one. I'm telling yu...I'm not giving up on her!!

Enough of that  - my card for today is using a Pure Innocence stamp from My Favorite Things. My Favorite Things is the sponsor over at Paper Sundaes today as well. The theme today is to "Keep it Simple". I do hope that you play along with us. You don't have to use a MFT stamp...but do "Keep it Simple".   I am also using the same card for Sentimental Sundays. The theme this week is "Go Green" , it can be recycling or green in color. I chose color. Not many recycling themed stamps in my collection! KWIM.

I did two versions of this. I am having a Craft-a-thon as we fondly call it on Saturday and this is one of the cards we are going to do. I figured it was simple enough for some of the girls who aren't as involved in stamping. So whats a craft-a-thon. Well, I have a group of ladies that get together every few months on a Saturday. We all make one (or two) projects and bring enough for everybody that is attending (usually about 6-8)  and we "teach" how to make the card. We start at 9 and usually end at 4. Whoever is hosting it at their house, also makes us a yummy lunch as has muffins and breakfast items there at 9. We really have a great time doing it. We use to get together and just do our own thing, but somebody would always be there twiddling their thumbs trying to figure out what to do.  So about 3 (maybe even more) years ago, we tried doing this once and have just kept it going.  It's a really great time.

Back to the card, sorry got sidetracked!  The paper is from Close to My Heart (greens) the other is My Minds Eye (blues). I have colored with Copics. There isn't much else to say....bc this is a Simple card.

Do stop by the Paper Sundaes and Sentimental Sundays blogs. The DT have created some wonderful things. Did you know that every sunday on the Sentimental Sundays blog that Ann from Raindropecho puts up some fabulous Sentiments for FREE! You just download them. There is a new set every week!  So hop on over and check things out.

Challenges:
One Stop Craft - Clean and Simple
Wee Memories - Green or spring

Get Well - Magnolia Challenge Blog

Hola! I have another card for you this week! Yep....I have been on a roll! I get that way...I have dry spells and then I can whip out 2 or 3 cards in a day. It's crazy. Before I get to my card I have to tell you about my awesome weekend, or should I say EXHAUSTING! Yikes. Silly me decided to go out with some friends on Saturday night and didn't get in bed until 3:30 a.m....I was up at 6:30 a.m to get ready for Suzannes class at my LSS. I was TIRED....like totally draggin butt.  However, I just had to go so I could meet my bloggie friend Wendy!!  Wendy and I obviously look nothing alike, but she could be my sister I tell ya! Way too many simliarities...kinda scary.

So Wendy traveled south to meet me...and take the class....and to meet me! hehe  Not sure if she still likes me.... I can be loud...and obnoxious...and.....??? hehehe  I thought she was totally cool and hopefully we shall meet again! ;-))) We had such a good time, we were definitely the "bad" table. Yes...giggles and loudness came from my table! ooops. Sorry Suzanne! But we had fun and learned a couple of tidbits too. It was a LONG day for me and a long drive for Wendy! I got home, hopped into bed to read and couldn't keep my eyes open. I ended up falling asleep at 8:30...which is crazy early for me!

So on to this weeks Magnolia-licous Challenge. It's a color challenge and the colors have been picked by the uber great Angela Wood.

I made the flowers, they are rolled. Hard to see but I added some stardust (my fav) stickles to them.

Liquid glass on the shoes for a patent leather look.

Tilda w/Butterfly dress and the Tulip background are from the latest magnolia Butterfly collection. You can purchase them at Magnolia-Licious.

Tilda is colored with Copic markers on papertrey ink paper. The postmark sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps. The butterfly punch is from Martha Stewart.

Be sure to check out the Magnolia-licous Challenge Blog, the DT has some fabulous creations to share with you. We would love for you to join us in the challenge. Our challenges run every 2 weeks and Diana very generously gives away a $25.00 Gift Certificate to use in her store to a random winner!

See you soon. Remember I said I was productive this week. So I have a couple of cards to show and the next one will include some BLOG CANDY, can we say Magnolias!!!!!! Oh yea!

Challenges:

Bunny Zoe - Spring flowers
Card Cupids - Anything goes
Alys Sunday Challenge - Anything Goes
Corrosive Challenges - Going Green
Craft your passion - Anything goes

Happy Birthday.... Paper Sundaes DT

Happy Sunday morning to you all!  I told you it wouldn't be long before I had another post! ;-)) I'm on the ball this week! ha! This weeks challenge at Paper Sundaes is being sponsored by Tiddly Inks and we need to use STRIPES!  Not sure if you have checked out Tiddly Inks before, but she really has some adorable digis. Super cute and fun to color. I chose "Pinky" from the Gothic collection. I thought it would make a great teenager birthday card.

I colored her with Copic markers. I seriously have a phobia of coloring black but I forced myself to do it and  I was pretty happy with the results. Could they use some tweaking, yes...but not to bad!  I have a confession to make. When I made this card I totally was so excited about this little Goth cutie and coloring my blacks that I didn't have a stripe in site!  So I had to go back and add that little piece of striped paper..totally cheated, it's just slipped in there! LOL I had a tough time getting a good photo of this too.  Anyways, the paper is from Echo Park. Not much else going on except I added some Liquid glass to the cupcake and stickles to the skull. Did you notice my sentiment phobia too? Yea...I have the darnedest time finding sentiments or places to put them...so this is lacking a sentiment, but I think I am going to decorate the inside and add it there. ;-)

That's it for today be sure to check out the challenge at Paper Sundaes and play along!

Hugs,

Exciting News!!!

Hello Everybody!! I'm back!!!!!!!!  It seems like forever since I have had a post. I think that was the longest since I started blogging a year ago. Which reminds me.......be on the look out for some birthday Candy...coming this week! ;-))

So here is my exciting news!!! Well, I have lots really...but the first one is - I am on Suzanne Deans Color Me Creative DT! Yeah!! Our first challenge as DT is a photo color/inspiration. So use something with pinks/greens/creams or white along with your interpretation of the photo.

This is a digi image from Heart Song Designs. I do not have much in terms of "Baby" and what I love about Digis....I can find one, print it instantly in most cases and I'm good to go!  They also do not take up space in my craft room which is always great. I don't have enough space in there as is! I have of course used COPICS to color this image in. I'm sorry...since this DT is based on Copics I had meant to record which ones I used....but I put them all away and then it dawned on me. I can't remember them all offhand either because they are not my usual color combinations!  The DP paper that I have used is from Crate paper and the solid CS is from CTMH. I believe the buttons are also from CTMH.  I kept it simple mostly because it is such a large image. Being a digi I could have sized it smaller but I liked this size. I also thought this would look really cute as a wall hanging. Hung with ribbon and a bow. Cute.

So I do hope you join us in the challenge, check it out at the Color Me Creative Copic Challenge Group! Challenge goes until March 18th. There are some yummy prizes including a pack of cryogen paper!! I have to tell you, I have been using Papertrey Ink paper pretty much since I starting coloring. I have tried a few (neenah, xpress blend, and Gina K) with so/so results. However, I FINALLY tried Cryogen last night and I LOVE IT!  I can actually see myself using this paper regularly. Not only does it have a nice shimmer to it, but it blends so nicely. I'm a fan.

So on to my exciting weekend! Last night I got the pleasure to meet my new bosslady, Suzanne Dean! ha!  Suzanne is in town this weekend to teach some Copic classes at my local scrapbook store. Ten of us went out to dinner last night to a Japanese Restaurant. We had a very nice time and I got to meet a few other bloggers.

Tomorrow I will be taking Suzannes Copic class and I can't wait. Lots of blogger friends will be there, some I already know and a few I can't wait to meet.

I have a few post for this week...so be on the lookout! I was away but I wasn't totally slacking!! ha!

Hugs and have a great weekend,
