Thanks a Latte...

Good morning!!!!! Sorry for the quietness around my blog lately. I have taken some time off so that I can spend more time with my family.  In doing that I recently stepped down from a couple of my Design Teams. It was such a hard decision to make. I didn't want to leave any, truth be told. But I needed to make some changes and I had to evaluate the requirements and my time.  My hardest one to give up was YNS. The owner is such a sweetie...I will truly miss all of them. Not to mention the images are adorable and fun to work with.

All these changes could NOT have came at a better time for me though. I have been struggling through pneumonia for 2 weeks now. Not FUN!! They tell me that I need to REST...what the heck is that???  Needless to say, has not been easy for me to get the rest that I need. Knowing that I do not have as much DT work on my shoulders has helped though. I'm also bummed because I missed out on all the Halloween parties this weekend. :-((  Oh well, next year I plan on being in the Keys...so I will party plenty then! ;-)

Thought I would share a card today using Thanks a Latte from Your Next Stamp (YNS).

Copic Colors:

Hair: E21, E23, E25, E29
Red: R22, R24, R27, R59
Orange: YR61, YR65, YR68
Shoes:  E42, E43, E44

Thanks for looking!

You devil....

Todays my day for posting over on the Markerpop Blog!  I'm still trying to get all my seasonal cards posted and here is another one.....

This little Devil is called Devilish Lucy from C.C. Designs. I used some Black hemp twine and looped it a few times. I used a punch on the sides and weaved the twine in through paper. She is popped up a little with some foam squares to allow for the hemp. It's hard to see, but the heart button is a wood button from Prima. It wasn't the color I needed, so I just colored over it with my copic markers. The original was very light, pastel colors.  Did you know you could use your copics for more than coloring on paper??

Thanks for looking today and if you are going out to a Halloween Party - Have fun and be safe!!

Welcome to the Neighborhood....

Helllllo!  So recently a friend of mine, who happens to be my awesome hairdresser, moved into the neighborhood. I wanted to get her a little something for the new house and I knew exactly what stamp set I wanted to use to make the card. I LOVE this set, On the Move by There She Goes, it's the cutest darn thing!!  There are loads of images and sentiments on it, I had a terrible time trying to choose just one!

I ended up settling on this:

I kept it simple. Colored it up with my Copic makers. The paper is from Farmhouse.

Colors:
Reds:  R22, R24, R27, R59, W4
Boxes: E42, E43, E44
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: E21, E23, E25, E29
Yellow: Y11, Y15, E33
Blue: B21, B24, B28

Trick or Treat

Halloween is going to be here before you know it!!  This is the first year that I don't have any parties to go to or dressing up to do, it's kind of sad! ;-(  Sure wish I was in Key West right about now! I guess it's for the best though, I have been sick for a week now. Instead of getting better I swear I'm getting worse.  I try to tell my Drs. that if not treated properly my colds will turn in to Bronchitis....they never seem to believe me until a couple days later I come back in worse that when I saw them!!

I have not felt like doing anything this week. I haven't picked up a marker....I haven't read any books. This crazy girl has made tons of cupcakes though. Probably why I'm still sick. Hopefully I will be better by Weds, a friend and I have 500 cupcakes to bake and decorate for a Fall Festival this weekend.

On to my card, I thought I would share this before Halloween comes and goes... this cute witch is from Your Next Stamp.

Copic Colors:
Skin -  E000, E00, E11, R11
Black - C03, C05, C07, C09
Hair -  Y21, Y26, E33
Dress -  ?????

I have been changing up my oranges this last month and I can't remember which colors I used...sorry about that!

Have a good one,
Tracy

So Very Thankful...

I have a couple seasonal cards in the "hopper" I figured I best get to posting them before this holiday season flys by as it always seems to do. Every year I print out, cut out and now PIN ideas to make for the holidays. Every year when I start to get in the Holiday mood I look at them and say, why bother...by the time I get it finished It will be over. I did it again this year! Now I keep looking at my calendar and saying - I'm gone that weekend, plans that weekend.....gone again...blah blah blah. I seriously have like 2 open weekends and I'm sure they will be filled soon!

So here's to another year of not getting projects completed. Blah!

On to my card. This adorable little one is from There She Goes Stamps and the set is called Pumpkins on the Vine. The background paper is simple stories.

I added some brown jute and even did a little stitchin on this with my Janome Sew mini. The sentiment was cut out from the Simple Stories paper as well.  Easy Peasy!

I have most of the Copic colors used:
Yellow - Y11, Y15, E33
Red - R22, R24, W4
Hair and Boots - E42, E43, E44, E47
Green- G21, G24, G28
Orange - Not positive on this ...sorry!

Thanks for looking today!

Best Witches...

Good morning! It's the second week of the Ribbon Carousel Challenge.....You gotta play with us...the prize is amazing at the end of the month. At the end of each month we are giving away a Ribbon Carousel....you saw that right. If you are a follower on my blog you have seen mine, it's sooooooo pretty!

This month's theme is
HALLOWEEN SPIRIT!

There's still time to play!!!

This is one of my favorite Magnolias. Tilda with Broom. So cute. I colored her with Copics. The flowers are just rolled flowers that I had cut, not from a die.  The Fancy Flourish is from My Favorite Things.  The paper is Authentique. The pretty Black and Orange Ribbon is from the Ribbon Carousel.

Fun Friday!

Let it snow...well not quite......but that is the theme of this months Fun Friday at YNS.  My card isn't really a "let it snow" I don't have many of "those" types of stamps because to be honest, it depresses me. I miss seeing Snow...ON OCCASSION....and I have such a small amount of time to use them because living in florida once the holidays are gone, my mind is WAY off of  snow and winter themes. You know when the temperature is in the high 70's and I'm wearing shorts it just feels weird drawing up a wintery, snowy image!!

So my card this week is a Christmas card, hope that works for you! ;-)

I have used Light Me Up from Your Next Stamp, colored with Copic Markers.  The paper is from Bo Bunny and the ribbon from my Stash. The Sentiment is from the Holiday Snow Globe set.  Which by the way, after I colored this up thinking I had nothing in terms of Let It Snow, I could have used this awesome set!! Guess what you will be seeing NEXT fun friday!!

Life is like.....

It's 3-D Thursday at MarkerPop, so I am showcasing a frame that I created for my Bff and Sister's (from another mother) Birthday.  She loves to ride bikes.  She also happens to love when I use any of the uptown girls, they are her favorite. So when Stamping Bella released this cutie a few months back I knew it had to be mine. I love how it came out and so simple to do.

The stamp comes with this qoute, but it wouldn't fit where I wanted it. So I computer generated it. This stamp is rather large, so I marked the corners of the matte so I new where to stamp it.

For my coloring I used a mixture of Copics and Prisma Color Pencils.

Hey Ghoul-Friend...

A few years ago one of the first companies to give me a shot was a digi store called "Stretch n' Bubbles".  I remember being so excited...my first DT!  Alison, the owner of it was super sweet and wonderful.  She has since closed that down and started back up as "The Alley Way Stamps", which are NOT digis and are made from Clear Acylic Stamps. The sets are sooooo adorable and have the cutest sentiments with them.  So if you haven't checked out The Alley Way Stamps, take a peek! Plus she has an awesome DT....

I was lucky to have won a set in one of the blog hops. I loved the halloween set - Ghoul Friend.

Is that a cute Mummy or what?  I've colored it with Copic Markers and used some black net ribbon.

Think Pink - Blog Hop

It's time for a Magnolia-Licious Blog hop! This months theme is "Think Pink".  If you arrived here from Mindy's Blog, you are on the right track. If not, you might want to start at the beginning with the Magnolia-Licious Hightlights because I am certain you will not want to miss all the sweet treats that the DT have for you this month!!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) is an annual international health campaign organized by major companies every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.  The Pink Ribbon symbol was used in 1993 by Evelyn Lauder as the symbol of The Breast Cancer Research Fund she founded and is used to symbolize the fight against the disease.  We also honor those that have fought the battle and who are currently fighting the battle while raising awareness to ALL women to be aware of the symptoms and to be proactive against the disease.   Want to find out more?  The National Breast Cancer Foundation HERE for those in the US and globally at the PinkRibbon.org site HERE!
  • In 2011 Nearly 1.5 million women across the world were told they had breast cancer
  • One-third of breast cancer deaths can be decreased with early detection and treatment
  • In the US 1 out of 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer over their lifetime, an estimated 527 women are diagnosed in the US with breast cancer each day
The Magnolia-licious DT wants to help promote awareness/early detection and share what this Think Pink Month is about with ALL women!  We also want to honor all of those women that have or are currently fighting this disease and show our support in the fight!!  To show our support the DT has planned our own “Think Pink” Celebration and we hope you can all join in.  Each DT gal has created some Sweet-PINK treats and PINK Packaging to match using those beautiful Magnolia images.  You can find some Magnolia stamps that were created specifically for Pink Ribbon Awareness at Magnolia-licious   .  So have fun hopping along to see all the fabulous Pink-a-licious Creations and make sure to stop back by the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog to join in on the fun too!

For my treat box I used Tilda with Christmas Baking. She is currently available in the store. I colored her with Copic markers. The Breast Cancer Awareness was hand drawn by myself. I then colored it and cut it out.

I created the box myself. I knew I wanted a rectangular box, so I just sketched some dimensions and made the box lid a tad bigger. It was the perfect size for my chocolate chip cookies!

So next on the hop is going to be Patti Jo!!  So hop on over to her blog and see what sweets she is sharing!

YNS - Sneak Peak

I'm late! I'm Late....sorry I went away for the weekend and forgot to schedule this little Sneak Peak from YNS!  It was a crazy weekend!!  We go to Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando every year. We always try to go on a Thursday night because Friday and Saturdays are MAD PACKED!  This year I invited my teamie, Wendy and her husband, to join us. Wendy lives about 2 hours away from me, but when I get to Orlando I try to hook up with her because she is amazing and I am her Stalker..lol  She has mad crazy craftin' skillz!

So we get to the park and about 15 mins later it starts pouring. Being Floridians we could tell this rain wasn't going anywhere...anytime soon. We were SOAKED...walking in ankle deep water...and the water was pouring down our faces so much that we couldn't see!! It was just crazy and it never stopped...lol  Needless to say, my phone and camera were not working, however, yesterday my phone FINALLY must have dried out and it is now somewhat working. I think my phone bothered me the most!  Rain and all we just made the best of it and ended up having a great time - wet and all.

The rain did taper off some towards the end of the night. Then somebody, I won't mention any names, decided we should run through the fountains....so we did. Well apparently we actually were drier than we though we were....because after that we were once again soaked.  So there is my HHN Story....now on to the Your Next Stamp Sneak Peaks...

I do believe this is the FIRST ever NON-colored card on my blog!!!! Crazy, right? This new set is called Full of Color. I stamped the leaves and acorn onto patterned paper and cut them out. They are pop dotted for dimension. The sentiment is also from this set.  The little "scrap" pieces of paper are actually Washi Tape. I have SO MUCH of this stuff and finally got a chance to use it!!

Day 2 of sneak peaks are up on the blog - come on over to check them out. A new Artist has joined the YNS family too!

Thanks for looking!

Coffin Treat Box

Morning! Hope everybody had a great weekend. I had a great weekend that started with dinner and drinks with friends on friday and then some stamping fun with my budyd, Lisette on Saturday.  I had so much to get caught up on that Sunday I literally sat down and stamped and put together a few projects ALL DAY!  Not to mention I  managed to watch an entire season of Breaking Bad. Great show - btw! Nothing else exciting went on. Here is one of things that I created.

I had to throw it together. I had another image colored and some ideas going through my head, however, when I went to get it out and started to tell Lisette about it, she started to laugh and proceeded to show me a project that she had just done, using the SAME image and colored in the SAME colors...whats the chance of that?  So I decided to go with something else and I'm glad that I did, because I do like how it came together.

The Magnolia-Licious Dt are making anything Halloween except cards this week.  You have to check out all the projects on the Magnolia-licious Highlights Blog, there are some gorgeous creations.

I created a Coffin treat box, the template came from Martha Stewart. you can find it here.   I used Dracula Edwin for the front of the box.  Dracula Edwin is currently out of stock in the Magnolia-licious Store.  The Twine is from the Ribbon Carousel, the paper is from my stash.

Colors:
Black - W2, W4, W5, W7, W9, 100
Skin - E000, E00, E11, R11
Purple - V12, V15, V17, W4
Hair - E43, E44, E47

Diana is changing up the prize and it will be a surprise to one person who plays along with the DT. So come on over to the Magnolia-licious Highlights blog and play along with us!  Thanks for looking!

Challenges:
Catered Crop - Halloween/Fall
Corrosive Challanges - Monster or Villian
