Beachin' it!

Hello. So if you haven't entered my BLOG CANDY yet, you better get a move on it, there is only about a day left to enter!!  It ends tomorrow, but I will be announcing the winner in a few days. I am being "banned" from the blog world for about a week...hubbys orders! LOL We are going to be having some major family time...I'll tell you all about it next week.  I do have 2 other scheduled post...so I will still kinda be around!  I would still love to hear from you, but any questions probably won't get answered until next week.

Today I have another Mo's image!! They are SOOOOO much fun to color.  I just love them. It's also time for another challenge at Color Me Creative (CMC). The theme is "Spring Break or Beach". So I was racking my brain trying to think of what Image to use. I was going to use a Magnolia, but then I remembered this awesome image that Mo released not to long ago. I had to do it.

I know I sound like a broken record but I love these fuller figured girls. They have so much personality and you can tell they are just plain happy with themselves. This one reminds me of myself hehe In more ways then one too.

Isn't she adorable..just like me?? hehe  I colored her with Copics.  I did add a cloud background, it's really faint in the picture.   The papers I used are from an old paper pack by Close to my heart.

While I was coloring this I was inspired to add a little something to my gal!  Yup...I added a Tramp Stamp,  AKA - a lower back tattoo. Remember I said she reminded me of myself. I have a lower back tattoo and it looks just like this. It's a purple daisy with pretty flourishes coming from it. It's my only tattoo, but maybe not for long. I went with some friends last night to the Tattoo place. One of the girls was getting one and it kinda gets you in the mood, ya know! lol But, I am particular and I am professional, so I won't get any where they are seen in business attire.  But, I do like to party..I can totally be a party girl. I'm quite good at it too! hehe

So come on over and join us at the CMC Copic Challenge and play along in the challenge. See you in a few days!

Don't forget about the BLOG CANDY!!

Challenges:
Digi Doodle - Anything Goes
Paper Romance - Summer

Tilda goes to the Carnival!

***FINAL DAYS to join in on my BLOG CANDY...Check it out HERE! ***

Hello All!  There is a new challenge this week at the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog!  This weeks inspiration photo was picked by Ms. Pat Frank....

Isn't it just the cutest little photo?  Those are Pat's grandbabies! Love it!!  I have to tell you though, for how much I loved this photo, I was stumped on a card!! LOL  But, I pulled through and here is what I came up with:

I had fun with this one, once I got my images together and knew what I was doing!  I just love Balloon Tilda, it looks like she is out of stock in the regular size in the store, but she is in stock in the Mini verion and you can pick her up in Diana's store - Magnolia-licious. I paired her with a Digi carousel horse from Whimsy Stamps. I sooooooo wish I had the magnolia carousel horse but I didn't. But that doesn't mean that you can't. You get find the Magnolia horse in her store too!

Those fabby papers are playground by Echo Park. I cut the card out using my Grand Nestie FINALLY! LOL  I have had it since Christmas and just finally broke it in. Sad, I know! I added some liquid glass to the ballon for some shine and some glitter on the horse. The pendants were cut from one of the playground papers. I also pleated the the purple paper that is behind the image and distressed it.  I did some sewing on the red ribbon and gathered it up. I also sewed all the papers. Then I pop dotted the image on top of all that.  Tilda is also cut out and pop dotted in front of the horse. I liked the tiny bit of shadow it created to add depth.

Now it's your turn. Come on over the Magnolia-licious Challenge blog and do check out all the other DT creations. They are all beautiful as always and very much inspiring. We hope that you will join us in the challenge. The prize is a $25.00 gift certificate to the Magnolia-licious Store!! How cool is that!  You can never have too many Tildas, that's what I say. My husband does NOT like that saying though...so keep it to yourself and/or other Tilda addicts. Only they can understand!!!

Not much else for me to say, nothing going on in my life today! ;-)  Now go craft!

Happy Birthday Cupcake! Paper Sundaes Challenge

*******Only a few more days left for my BLOG CANDY!! Check it out!!

Good Sunday morning to ya!  So I mentioned the other day that I was NOT doing anything this weekend. So far, I have stuck to the plan basically!  I did go on 2 bike rides, took my baby girl to a Fancy Nancy reading at Barne and Noble. The girls all looked so cute. They all went dressed up. We kept getting stopped and asked if she was in a dance recital.  Last night we sat around and watched movies. Today we will probably go on another bike ride, pool for some swimming and clean the house some. Boy does it need that!

My little Kare-bear is in the fancy little purple dress at the end...

We don't have any other big plans for Easter. Everybody was kind of busy, so I will sit around and eat my great-grandmas Easter Bread that I made by myself for the first time this year. My mom usually makes all the "old" recipes, but I have started to attempt them by myself.  Which has NOT been easy, let me tell you! First if you saw the way this recipes were written out...it's crazy lol  It's usually in ingredients only and usually it's lb's of everything because my grandma's use to make enough to feed an army! I swear!!   So last year my parents were living with me for a few months while they were waiting to close on their house, which ended up taking FOREVER. Needless to say we were together through a few important holidays so while my mom made the family goodies, I helped and  wrote down more accurate directions and actual amounts for the ingredients.  So my first attempt at Italian Easter Bread came out great, I must say.  Taste like grandmas...could have used a bit more Anise...but was still yummy!

Enough about me....Paper Sundaes is having a RECIPE challenge this week. We are being sponsored by Stamp and Create and we want you to see any two of these :  yellow, glitter, die cuts or pearls!!

This litte stamp from CC Designs is called  Swiss Pixie-Cupcake Brigitta.  I see she is sold out right now, but I am sure she will be getting her back in soon!  The sentiment is from Catslife Press and those fabby papers are from Echo Parks - Summer Days. I have been buying more and more 6x6 paper pads. I just love them for cardmaking. The print is always so perfect. Especially for paper piecing dresses, as I did here. The 6x6 papers are a scaled down design so they are great for paper piecing!  The solid CS came from my stash of papers. The circle is cut out with a spellbinder and matte is Lacey Circles spellbinder.  It's really hard to see in the photos but there is glitter all over this. Around the cardstock edges, on the flowers, on the cupcakes, on the wings....little bit on the dress...yup, she is glittered up!

Hope you can join us in the recipe challenge this week.  Check out the Paper Sundaes blog and all the other DT's fabulous work...there are some adorable cards this week!

Happy Birthday Darling....

Hello!  Anybody else happy that tomorrow is FRIDAY! Oh yea! I can't not wait to be off for the weekend. We have hardly any plans and I hope it stays that way.  My house is in terrible need of a good cleaning. My Hubby is taking the son to some boat thing on Saturday, my MIL is taking my daughter to a Fancy Nancy thing at Barnes and Noble. I love cranking my iTunes and cleaning. I would much rather do it without them here! When they are here things just never seem to get clean, KWIM.

I plan on laying by the pool for a while Saturday and Sunday....I need some sun before I go on my cruise which is coming up soon! Speaking of, we are going on the Oasis of the Seas....I CAN NOT WAIT!  I am so going to find me a nice comfy chair and chill with my nook in one hand and a Strawberry Daq. in the other!  Sounds good, huh? This ship has so much stuff to do that my kids best not ever say the words "i'm bored!!"  If they do, I'm am going to wave over a waiter and get another drink....I'm telling you!!

Ok on to craft stuff. Recently I started chit-chatting with a fellow crafter/blogger. Anniebee does some beautiful work and I was ewww'in and awww'in (I don't know how to spell that but you get the idea!! LMBO) over her beautiful Roses!!  Well guesss what? She sent me some and they are even better in person. I am serious, I am totally blown away over the way these things are crafted. Not only are the beautiful (and they really are) they are the sturdiest Roses I have ever seen. I'm telling you...this girl has talent.

You can check out here Blog HERE.
Here are the beautiful roses  she sent me. I  love PINK!

Can you see the Rosebuds?? Oh my, I was just soooo happy with my package!! Thank you Anne!!! You're the Best!

So of course I got these beautiful flowers and I just had to use them on a card. Best thing is that I had already started coloring this up beforeI got them and they go perfectly.

Is this not the cutest image?? When Mo Manning released these BBW (big beautiful Woman) digi's I was pretty happy. I think they are adorable. I can see this one being used for a bday card for my hubby....or for a BFF...which is how I have used it. Of course when I saw this, I had to go on the hunt for a great sentiment because it's just one of those images that needs that. Ya know?

The Inside says " The secret of staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age." Lucille Ball

I loved the qoute and thought this was a great girlfriend card. Can you just see her saying "Happy Birthday,  Darling." and then air kissing both sides of her cheek. Well if you don't sorry... that's what I see!!! hehe

Here's Anne's beauties again....oh and the blue things I made with wire and flower soft.

I colored this image with copic markers but I did do a little bit of highlighting with some Prisma color pencils in the dress. The matte is a the lacey square die from spellbinders. I cut out to and made it a rectangle so it would fit my long image. The papers are from My Minds Eye. The roses are handmade by ANNIEBEE. Check out her blog, she has some fabby things. I especially love the box she made with these gorgeous roses all over it! So pretty.

I know this post was long....but I have been so busy and my post lately have been rushed and tonight I am actually NOT rushed and had a few minutes to blabber!

Happy Easter Tilda - Paper Sundaes

**Looking for my BLOG CANDY? Go HERE. Ends April 30th.**

Hello! Happy Sunday to you all.  I am late again getting a card up but I was out of town at my brothers for the weekend. Life's really been crazy!! I am making NO plans for next weekend.  I just want to stay at home and spend some time with the family .

Papers Sundaes is being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and the challenge this week is TEXTURE!  I tried to put quite a bit of texture in my card and I am really happy with how it came out. It's one of my favorite cards to date!

I have colored Tilda with Copic markers on my favorite paper from Papertrey Ink. The papers are the Restoration Collection from Crate Paper...aren't they beautiful??? Love them! I added some texture to the scallop (spellbinder) with an embossing folder. The flowers have stardust stickles on them.  I hooked up my sewing machine and have left it on my table lately to try to inspire myself to sew more. I LOVE the look of sewing on cards and don't do it as much as I would like to because I hate dragging it out. So far leaving it has worked and will continue to until it gets in my way!! haha I did decorate the inside of this card again too.  I really love how this came out. The colors are so pretty!  Hope you like it too!

Now go on over and enter your card into the Paper Sundaes challenge. There are many ways to get texture into your card!!

Challenges:
Lets Ink it Up - Stitching
Stamptacular - Magnolia stamps
Copic Creations - Fav Paper (papertrey ink)
Secret Crafter - Stitching

So Sweet - CMC and Mo'

**Looking for my BLOG CANDY? Go HERE. Ends April 30th.**

Well hello, hello! Did ya miss me? It seems forever since I have posted but really it's only been like 3 days. I seem to go in waves in my posting!  I have another busy weekend ahead of me. It's my brother and my sis-in-laws bday so they have a big annual party at their house.  Plus I am going to make a super quick trip to Orlando prior to going there...I need to return something at the mall and of course shop some more (I do that best, trust me).  Maybe on Sunday I will get to sit down and enjoy myself in my room. Wait, on second thought...the family will still be here...so I guess thats out!  They have been REALLY good at making me feel guilty lately if I spend more time than needed in my craft room. I think Hubs should let me quit my job that way I can craft while he works and the kids are at school. Yes..I think that would be best!! teehee!

Anyways, enough about that, I do have a card to share.  Color Me Creative (CMC) is having a new challenge this week and it's pastels. I just bought this fab image from Mo Manning. I love her images...they are just tooo cute. So I colored her up with Copics and paired her with some Fab papers from prima (pretty sure). THe flowers are a mixture of three companies (Wild Orchid, Prima and Irene's garden).

I decorated inside!!  haha I know that isn't a big deal, but it is for me. I get lazy and I'm usually pretty excited once I have completed a card so I just sorta stop and don't do the inside. However, I love when the insides are done. I was on a roll, my next couple of cards coming out all have decorated insides. Makes me so proud of myself!

That's all for tonight. Get on over to the CMC site and join us in the challenge! We sure would love to have you!

Challenges:
Mo Digital - Start of something new (New BLooms!!) ;-)
Inspire me Fridays - Anything Goes
Totally Papercrafts - Springtime
Stampin Royalty - Spring has Sprung
Digital Tuesday - Female Image

Happy Easter - Magnolia-Licious-DT

Oh I am Late! Don't know what I was thinking but when it dawned on me I had to get this post up hubs was in the process of doing somethings to my computer so I couldn't get back on to post. So here I am now...

This weeks challenge for the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog is Pink and Green...however when I saw the photo I didn't see the words "Pink and Green" above it, what I saw was lots of Teal in it...so my card has more Teal then Green...but I do have Pink and I do have Green...so It's all good to me! Too busy lately...I need to slow down!

Details on my card - Hello Tilda can be purchased at the Magnolia-licious store, I have colored her with Copic markers. The flourish is a Magnolia Doohickey - you can also purchase that from Magnolia-licious.  The matte behind my image is a spellbinder and the flowers are from Prima. I can't remember the maker of the paper right now..sorry. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Would love to have you join us for this challenge at the Magnolia-Licious Challenge Blog. Diana always has the best prizes - $25.00 Gift Certificate given to a random winnder. I do hope you join us. In the meantime if you need some inspiration check out the blog to see the other DT members cards, there are some FABULOUS ones....wait til you see!  One in particular just knocked me off my feet!  Plus they all truly followed the PINK and GREEN scheme! Unlike Rebel Tracy!  haha

That's it for now. Later in the week I will have another card for you and I'll share some pictures of my Tent camping trip to Bikefest. So if you know me, you know how funny that sounds. One I am SO NOT a tent camping kinda gal. Two - I am most definitely not a Biker chick! LMBO  However, everytime I get around those bikes they make me want to get my own. I do love them...I have one picked out too. I want a Matte Black Sportster....or a V-Rod.....oh yea! ;-)  I still can't see me on it, but I do love them!

If you haven't entered already, I still have BLOG CANDY going on!

What's Cookin'

It's Monday...happy, happy, joy, joy! (Is the sarcasm seeping out of that?)  I do NOT like Mondays. Just sayin'.  My Sunday was filled with cleaning and Laundry....I have hardly been home lately and you can tell by looking at my home! Life doesn't seem like it's going to calm down any in the upcoming month either.  I need a stay-vacation. A week of just being at home.  Afterschool today I promised my daugther we would go swimming..she wanted to soooooo badly yesterday but there just wasn't enough hours in the day. So that's my big plan for the day - swimming!  Sorry all you in other parts of the country...but yes...it's been super gorgeous here in South Florida and the water is so nice and warm! The other day, it was actually almost too warm...didn't really cool us off but was still refreshing!

On to the card (I find I'm saying this alot lately...I guess it's my "thing" sorry you have to deal with my "thing".)  Over at CMC we want you to color (using your copics of course) metals.  Mo' Manning had this Fabulous little girl for a buck right after the Tsunami in Japen and had all the proceeds go to the disaster. So of course I snatched her up. She is just toooooo adorable. I love baking and cooking, so this was a no-brainer for me.

I know I could have used something a bit bigger to show off the metals...but they are cute pots! ;-) Everything is colored with Copic markers. I paperpieced her apron and then added copics on top of it to give it some depth. The oval is cut with a spellbinder and I used a Martha Border punch for to create the matte around the oval. The spatcula charm I believe is from Karen Foster. Not sure where the sentment came from...but I like it!  Here are those FAB papers from MME again. I think I need to buy some more pads! I can't stop using them. They are my current go to papers. Perfect for paper piecing too because the patterns are so small. Love them. The pearls were originally white and I colored those with my Copics too.

Come on over to the CMC site and join us in the challenge.  I also have BLOG CANDY - ends April 30th

I Did It Creations - Anything Goes
Craft your day Away - Spotty dotty
Shannons Sentiments - Use on Oval

Happy Sunday to you all!  Sundays are a love/hate thing for me. I love it because for my family it's typically a lazy, hang around the house kinda day.  But I hate it because it means I have to work tomorrow ;-(  The fun is over...so sad.  Hubby and I are getting ready to go out and get a bite to eat for breakfast....grab my sweet little ones from my parents and then back home to relax!

On to the card - this week Paper Sundaes is being sponsored by Lili of the Valley and the theme is "Spring Blossoms".

Aren't those papers soooooo yummy???? They are "Gertie" from MME. Love them. I will be so sad when they are gone ;-(  Image is colored with Copic markers, the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

Mini Tilda...and a mess!!!!

Good Morning all! Quick post for you today. My local scrapbook store just started carrying the MINI TILDAS..how cool (and dangerous) is that! So the owner asked for some samples to promote them. I quickly...and I do mean quickly through this one together for her.

I colored this with copics, of course. The card itself is only about 4.5x4.5. Nice size note card. The paper is from Imaginisce.  The Magnolias are Mini Sweet Tilda and Mini Easter Wagon.  I love that little wagon of eggs.

So now you need to see the DISASTER that  I was working in when I "quickly" made this card last night.....prepare youself and let me preface this by saying that I was preparing for 2 classes that I am teaching today at the store....AND....I was trying to make a few "Samples" for the store..AND it was 1 a.m before I finished. This is a SAD... SAD room... I know what I will be doing tomorrow!! YIKES!  I don't think I could manage another card in here until I clean her up!

Notice the bag of Chocolate? Of course you need chocolate to get you through 1 a.m. panic sessions of trying to prepare for class!!!

Ok...so now that I have embarrased myself....you all have a wonderful weekend and see you back here tomrorow for the Next Paper Sundaes challenge!!
