Fun Friday and some organization tips!

Hello!  Today is FUN FRIDAY over at Your Next Stamp and this months theme is "Trick or Treat".   We are also showing off a little bit on how we organize our crafty items too. So be sure to check out all the DT's blogs to maybe get some inspiration.

My card is made using the POOF! set by Your Next Stamp.  The sentiment is from the Trick or Treat set also by YNS. It's all colored up with Copic markers. The paper is  from the latest Echo Park Chillingsworth 6x6 Pad which I picked up from The Ribbon Carousel.

Copic Colors are:
Skin:  E000, E00, E11, R20
Dress:  C3, C5, C7, C9, 100
Green: YG21, YG23, YG25, W4
Purple:  V01, V04, V6, V09

This month the YNS girls are also showing off some of the ways they store and organize their things. I am going to show you how I keep my Copic Markers. I have showed this before, but it's been quite some time. I love my copic storage!! It sits right in front of my work station and I just have to grab what I need. I like having the numbers in view. Nice thing is if I go anywhere it's a basket so I can just take it with me...no need to take them out and put them into anything else. This is an old photo, I have almost outgrown this basket, my little compartments are stuffed now. Love it though!

I used foamboard and a basket that I purchased from Michaels to make my storage unit. I just measured my basket and then cut the foamboard with an x-acto knife. You can see in the photo that I cut notches, this makes it nice and sturdy. I've been using this same for about 2 years now and have NO ISSUES....whatsoever!  I also made a basket for all my re-inkers. The foam board doesn't bow or anything with the weight of the re-inkers or markers. Cheap, inexpensive way for storage compartments.

Mommy to Be.....

Hello!! It's challenge time at the Ribbon Carousel. This weeks challenge is to use BOWS!  Simple enough, eh.  I was asked to make a card for a mommy-to-be and my favorite image is from Mo Manning. It's just perfect and you can really see the love she has for her unborn child!!  So I pulled out my pinks and went to work.

Mother to Be is colored using Copic markers. The Cardstock is Candy Hearts Bazzill and the ribbon is Pink Satin Center Band Ribbon both from The Ribbon Carousel.

Copic colors:
Hair: E42, E43, E44, E47
Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20
Shirt: RV000, RV10, R91, R83, W2

Yummy for your Tummy

Good morning!! So In case you hadn't seen last week, I am now a member of the Magnolia-licious Senior Design Team! yay!  This week Cabio has challenged us to a project, she would like to see ANYTHING BUT a CARD!!  Well as you will see below, I did both.

Are you addicted to Pinterest??? I am. Seriously, it's like an illness or something. I can't NOT go on there and look for yummy recipes or inspiration. Pinterest is bad too, it makes you feel like ANYBODY can some of these projects. Ha...I wish! There are actually blogs out there dedicated to busting "pins" now. Funny stuff too!

Anyways, I was surfing some pins a few weeks ago and came by this super easy box from Cosmo Cricket using 1 - 12x12 piece of cardstock!  Yep..thats all!  There is step by steps and a video to show you how to do it too.

The little tag is part of the latest release - I used the Mini Tilda with Carrots.  Magnolia-licious is selling them in sets of 2 and they are a deal!  You get Mini Tilda with Corn along with Mini Tilda with Carrots.
This box is the perfect size to stash some treats or cookies. The inside space measures out to about 3 inches high by 2 inches wide and 6 inches long.
I had just made some yummy homemade chocolate chip cookies so I stashed mine with those! ;-)

I  decided to make a card to go along with my little box. For the card I used Tilda with Cherries. Both projects are colored with Copic Markers. I used copics to create the cloud background as well. The Tilda lace border die is a Magnolia Doohickey Die.  The Ribbon is Yellow Vintage Seam Binding from The Ribbon Carousel.

Now come on over to the Magnolia-licious Highlights blog and see all the other wonderful projects by this fabulous DT.

Hugs,
