{TSG} Spread Your Wings

Good morning!  I hope everybody had a nice weekend. I seem to have a new "norm" around my place of doing nothing! I need a vacation...and soon!!  I did make a bunch of cards over the weekend. I think I am done through the month. Yesterday was so beautiful out it was such a waste to spend it inside but the only other thing I wanted to do, I couldn't do because of my leg, which was go to the beach. Soon, soon! I hope!

This week at There She Goes the challlenge is to Paper Piece.  I used Penelope and Birdcage today and I paper pieced her dress.

I love blue and yellow together.  I also stamped out the birdie and popped it up, which you can not see from the photo.  The layout was super simple as I used the Blueprints die set from MFT.

I hope you can join us this week at There She Goes for our Paper Piecing challenge!

Stampbook...Yes!

Good morning. It's Saturday. Yay for the weekend. I have been looking forward to this day since Sunday! ;-) Helps that my husband will be back from his little working vacation today. So it's stampbook saturday today on the There She Goes Blog. I started out in this little addiction of mine scrapbooking about 13 or 14 years ago now. However, I have not even touched or thought about scrapbooking in about 5 years now...maybe longer. I think longer. All I know is I have a half finished baby album for my youngest. Typing that makes me feel like a bad mama.

So I am not going to lie I kinda freaked out with the idea of doing a scrapbooking page today. I actually just took the plunge recently and bought a Project Life kit. I have done anything with it yet, but it sure does look pretty sitting on my desk. I hear it as I walk by begging me to start. Maybe this weekend....maybe.

I will say after making this page it kind of has me wanting to do another. How could I not want to showcase my little munchkins, right?

I used the Blossom by Blossom set by There She Goes stamps. It's a 22 piece stamp set and it is ADORABLE! You should totally check it out.

Close up of the coloring. I used copic markers for the coloring. The paper is an old My Minds Eye set, Bloom and Grow. Yes, I had to dig out the scrapbooking papers!! I did have kind of current papers only because I still bought like crazy even when I wasn't "scrapbooking"! HA!

Notecard Book {TSG}

Good morning, It's ABC Friday on the There She Goes Blog! Years ago my friends and I would have what we call a "Craft-a-thon". There were about 8 of us consistently and at first we would have crops and there was always somebody that would show up and not have any mojo. They would sit and chat or just get frustrated that they didn't have any mojo. So then my friend and I had the idea for each of us to create a project and bring enough for everybody to make it and "teach" them the project. It was a hit, we continued to do this for about 5 years quarterly. There were all different levels of talent and some would make cards while others came up with some other type of crafty project like candle making. We had a blast.

The point of that story is because one of those crafty dates inspired today's post. A uber talented friend of mine, Samantha, showed us how to make these cute little notepad holders.
I used the super cute Smarty Pants stamp set from There She Goes.

Samantha also gave us some extra note pads. I can't remember where they came from, however, I do know I have seen long note pads/grocery list in the dollar areas of some of the local craft stores. They might work, you may just have to tweak the dimensions to fit your particular pad.

I colored all of it with Copic Markers. The paper is some old scrapbook paper that I had in my stash. I added a button and twine to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Cloud Tutorial {TSG}

I am excited to be here to give you my very first Trend post for TSG! I started to panic coming up with a trend. A couple of thoughts came to mind but I went with creating clouds with copics mostly because I have had numerous people ask..."How do you do that" so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to give a tutorial on a growing "Trend".

I know myself and alot of other people would create a "cloud mask" and stipple some ink down to create clouds. I love that effect..it's simple and easy! Recently I have seen alot of clouds created with copic markers in blogland. It took me a little while to get onboard to the idea. It looked way to difficult and I am all about easy!! A couple of weeks ago I was hanging out with some amazing and talented ladies and I was too embarrassed to pull out the ol' mask because I had so many stamping rockstars around me. So I made my own clouds with copics and guess what....it was easy!!

So rather than tell you how, I thought I would show you how. Now bare with me, this is literally my 2nd video EVER! I am still learning, but I think you will get the idea of how to do it. As time goes on, I do hope to improve my video skills. I hear iMovie on a Mac is the best and easiest. I haven't convinced my husband that I NEED to buy one yet. He is deadset against it!! sniff, sniff. So windows movie maker it is....

Here is a video tutorial on how I make clouds using my copic markers.

This weeks challenge over on TSG is masculine projects. Here is the card that I made using my COPIC CLOUDS!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoyed my first crappy video! haha

Good Morning! Did you get a chance to hop around yesterday and see the newest release by TSG -
Lucky Duck? If not....you should!

Today we have another set by a new artist to release!!

This month we are introducing a BRAND new artist to There She Goes, Megan Suarez!! She has started us out with three FABULOUS stamp sets, which we think you are going to love. Her style is a touch on the side of gothic, but so much fun. We can’t wait to see what’s next with this AMAZING designer!!

Penelope & Birdcage is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 4 stamps and will sell for $9.00.
Nutmeg is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 5 stamps and will sell for $9.00.
Journal lines is a 3x4 set that includes 1 stamp, and will sell for $9.00.

Today I used Nutmeg. I love the goth look of her. I decided to go girly and fun with her hair. Love the vibrant pink! I added some deep shading with a black pastel pencil.

My next card is Penelope. These images were simple and so much fun to color. I used copics for my coloring. The sentiment is included in the set. I cut it out using a tag die.

{TSG} New Release - Lucky Duck

If it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck…well, it’s probably a Lucky Duck!! Ok, that was corny, but this SUPER cute set by Torico will make you squee with delight…could it get any cuter? Lots of ducks, and stamps to build the perfect scene, it’s so versatile.

Lucky Duck is a 4x8 set that includes a total of 24 stamps and will sell for $18.00.
While brainstorming the sentiments for Lucky Duck, as always, we took a turn for the dark side…..what else can I say besides this set is ducking awesome.
Hooked on Quack is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 7 stamps and will sell for $9.00.

I am all about those sassy sentiments so of course I had to incorporate one of them into my card. I thought the sentiment went perfectly with these 2 ducks faces! That adorable sitting duck looks so annoyed by the others singing! It reminds me of my husband and I. He swears that I sing/speak all the time! LOL  He is right though, I do tend to do that OCCASIONALLY!  Ha!

Would you like to win the new Lucky Duck /Hooked on Quack stamp sets? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. TSGA - Photographic Memory

Good morning. Today is "There she goes AGAIN" day. This is where the TSG Dt features some of our older but still adorable stamps!   I have been wanting to play a little with a polaroid picture and thought this was a perfect opportunity. I don't have a die or anything, I just cut it out.

My card is using the ROFL Taglines Set. The paper is from Basic Grey. I colored white pearls with my copic markers. I used a little distress ink on the image.

Head on over to the TSG Blog and check out the other DT's cards. We are featuring 3 different sets this week.

Welcome to the Neighborhood....

Helllllo!  So recently a friend of mine, who happens to be my awesome hairdresser, moved into the neighborhood. I wanted to get her a little something for the new house and I knew exactly what stamp set I wanted to use to make the card. I LOVE this set, On the Move by There She Goes, it's the cutest darn thing!!  There are loads of images and sentiments on it, I had a terrible time trying to choose just one!

I ended up settling on this:

I kept it simple. Colored it up with my Copic makers. The paper is from Farmhouse.

Colors:
Reds:  R22, R24, R27, R59, W4
Boxes: E42, E43, E44
Skin: E000, E00, E11

Ur the Bomb....

Good morning! I was feeling a little crafty and finally got some things completed so I thought I would play along with the Ribbon Carousel girls for their Independance Day - Red, White and Blue challenge!

When I saw this set, Cutie Pi, a few months back by There She Goes, I knew I had to have it. I LOVE geek humor...Big Bang Theory is my favorite show.  This set is so stinkin' cute and the sentiments are just perfect.

I used a simple knotted bow with some Red Cotton Twill from The Ribbon Carousel. Did you know that the Ribbon Carousel sells more than just ribbon???   They also carry a large variety of my favorite 6x6 paper pads. They are my go to paper for card making. This one is from Echo Park and it is called " A Boy's Life". Check out the shop for more paper lines...
