Sad News.....;-(

Good morning Crafty Friends!  I'm back for a minute. Literally! It's been a busy year and summer.  Last year a good friend of mine convinced me to go back to school and finish what I started a few years back.  So I did!  This on top of working and vacations and life in general has been made things a little crazy at home. Good crazy...but crazy nonetheless.  I have decided to take a few months off from stamping.

I love crafting, I love the crafting friends that I have met in the last 15 years! Yes...15 years!! Crazy right?  I have met friends that I think I will be friends with for life.  Some are who I vent to when life gets crazy or somebody annoys the living heck out of me.  I don't even need to name them, they know who they are!

I have officially stepped down from my last design team....for now.

8 years ago when I made the step into the "Copic" world I was so eager to get on a design team. I started out small and with challenge blogs, etc.  Then I got picked up by Magnolia-licious and boy did I think I hit the big time then! From that moment, I have literally been non-stop and have been on so many of the BEST design teams (IMO) around! I am so grateful for everything that I got out of designing from supplies to friendships.

My last 2 design teams were the hardest to leave. All them were, but these 2 were special to me!  One of the first stamping companies on my radar 8 years ago was Stamping Bella. I just loved those Bella Babes and Linda Heavens work just drew me in.  It was a huge decision for me to step down from being a Bella-Babe. I'm still not sure it was the right decision, but I hope to be back in a few months! Fingers crossed they will still want me!! ;-)

The other company I am taking a break from is extra- special to me!  SugarPea Designs will always be special. Wendy and I met so long ago and we clicked right away!  When she started up her company I was so happy for her and the designs are awesome and I love having some input here and there.  She got me out of my "Copic" comfort zone too! I actually think I started being a better "Stampy- stamper" in the past year too. You know those non-colored images that freak me the hell out!  My "Break" from Sugarpea was the little push I need, I was sad at first, but it was a good thing.

Having said all of that....I'm not saying I am leaving forever, but what I am saying is...I need a break! I need a couple of months of NO deadlines.

So, I hope you don't delete me out of your stamping world and I do hope when I come back, which I will....you welcome me back with open arms!  Who knows, I may still do a little stamping in the meantime. I believe I will....but it will be a no deadline card! ;)  (like the one below)  Ok, so I made this months and months ago...but I never got to post it!

Hugs and See you in a few months...maybe sooner! ;-)

Thanksgiving Blessings

Just wanted to stop by and wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!  I'm sure you are probably slaving away at cooking and if you are on here it's for a quick break!!  As for me....I will be assisting in cooking but I'm not doing the whole thing this year...thank goodness!  I love cooking for thanksgiving but boy is it a lot of work. I will be splitting it up with the MIL this year and since it's just yhe 6 of us, it will be smaller scale and simple.  Plus no baking for me either...which is crazy bc I LOVE to bake and I do not like store bought ANYTHING, however....they have the best little place near my In laws that make the most wonderful Fried Hand Pies in the world. If you ever get a chance to visit Blue Ridge, GA...you MUST hit up Merciers Orchards. I haven't had ANYTHING in there that is not delicious!!  So no baking for me, we just ordered up some pies from Merciers this year.... Oh yea, and they deliver all over too!!

Today I would like to share a card I made using Prudence from Mo Manning.

I really kept this one simple as I kept the image, which is a digi, large. I just love her....one of my favorite pilgrim images I think.

Anyways, have a wonderful holiday and see you tomorrow with Bellariffic Friday where I am sharing a card using an image from the latest release!

Mommy to Be.....

Hello!! It's challenge time at the Ribbon Carousel. This weeks challenge is to use BOWS!  Simple enough, eh.  I was asked to make a card for a mommy-to-be and my favorite image is from Mo Manning. It's just perfect and you can really see the love she has for her unborn child!!  So I pulled out my pinks and went to work.

Mother to Be is colored using Copic markers. The Cardstock is Candy Hearts Bazzill and the ribbon is Pink Satin Center Band Ribbon both from The Ribbon Carousel.

Copic colors:
Hair: E42, E43, E44, E47
Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20
Shirt: RV000, RV10, R91, R83, W2
Skirt: E33, Y11, Y15

Now head on over to the RC Blog to play along with us and see the other DT's creations!

Happy Birthday!

Afternoon all! This weekend was the 1 year anniversary of the LSS in my area. Congrats Paula!!  Friday and Saturday she had a crop going on. I had no plans this weekend so I joined in on the fun and I am so glad that I did. I had such a great time.  We spent many hours laughing and picking at each other and creating all sorts of things. I also got to meet alot of new people. I'm not quite sure what kinda of impression I made on them....you see....I got onto a tangent about going to Fantasy Fest in Key West and then we laughed and joked about my excessive drinking, which of course I do not do! ahem... I'm a good girl! ;-) I swear! lol  Anyways, it was an all around good time I just wish it had lasted longer!!

I actually did get a few things completed to, believe it or not!  The card I am posting today is NOT one of them, I actually had this done a few weeks back and just forgot to post it. This weekend I finished up about 4 cards so yay, I will have some post coming up!   I have a busy couple of weeks ahead of me. Not much stamping time until after October for me ;-(

This ADORABLE image is a digi stamp from Mo Manning.  I LOVE cupcakes so I just had to have her. I colored her with Copic markers. I did the background with Prisma color pencils.  (Which I totally botched up....but whatever!).  I added a healthy dose of glitter onto her dress. You can see it shimmering a little bit in the photo, in person it's very sparkly!

I believe the papers are My minds eye. I can't remember which packs they came from though!

That's all from me for now!

Mommy-to-Be

Hello!!! Remember me??? hehe I had forgotten this card that I did a month or two back for some girls in my office. I have plenty of stamps and such to make baby cards...but nothing appropriate for a baby shower. So I just knew my favorite artist Mo Manning was bound to have something that I could use.  Voila! Isn't that just the cutest pregger lady you've ever seen?  I made two of these cards, both quite similiar. Just changed up the background papers.

I kept it simple because lately thats how I have been rolling! I colored her with copics.. I wish I could say that I crocheted the pretty flowers, but nah...I didn't. Thats one thing that I have tried numerous times to do and I can't seem to "get" it. So these are from...American something. LOL

My summer has finally slowed down. Thank goodness!  I have a little bit of time before my next adventure and have actually gotten a few hours here and there to color. I just haven't put anything together yet. Hope to be able to do that this weekend!!   School starts for my kiddos this Monday, yay!  We've been doing last minute school shopping, open houses, etc. Can't wait to get back into the school routine!  I will say though, I am SO THANKFUL that my kids wear uniforms to school. I couldn't believe how some of these YOUNG kids came to open house dressed!  Wowzie...It was like they were going to a club. Clothese just seem to be getting smaller and smaller! Is it just Florida? I want to believe it's because it's so hot here..lol

You're so Sweet!

Good morning!  I'm back...no really...I am really back. No more vacations for me for a few months! ;-)  I LOVE to travel, but I have to say I am exhausted! In between traveling, working and kids....I need a STAY-Cation at home!  My house is showing signs of neglect as well!  Needless to say, I am taking a bit of a breather!  I do have some plans in upcoming months, but not to much!

I was so happy to say that this weekend I did get a little bit of crafting done!! yay me!  Mostly for upcoming DT's so you won't see to much coming from me beyond that! ;-(  I have a project I am FINALLY working on for my son. A few years back my mom and I wanted to learn how to quilt, so we took a class. We made a Log Cabin pattern and I LOVE my quilt. It came out so beautiful and it's so cozy. So cozy that my son has taken claim to it! He loves it and it is what he uses all the time for sleeping and cozying up on the couch. So I thought maybe I should make him his own quilt, since he obviously appreciates it. I am making it in more "dude" colors. So for the next few weeks, I am hoping to get a start on the quilt and wrap it up in between card making!

Now on to the card!

The image is from Mo Manning, she is sooooo adorable! I just love her dress! I have colored her with copic markers. The paper is from CTMH. The sentiment is SU. The border around her is a Magnolia doohickey border die.

Happy Birthday Darling....

Hello!  Anybody else happy that tomorrow is FRIDAY! Oh yea! I can't not wait to be off for the weekend. We have hardly any plans and I hope it stays that way.  My house is in terrible need of a good cleaning. My Hubby is taking the son to some boat thing on Saturday, my MIL is taking my daughter to a Fancy Nancy thing at Barnes and Noble. I love cranking my iTunes and cleaning. I would much rather do it without them here! When they are here things just never seem to get clean, KWIM.

I plan on laying by the pool for a while Saturday and Sunday....I need some sun before I go on my cruise which is coming up soon! Speaking of, we are going on the Oasis of the Seas....I CAN NOT WAIT!  I am so going to find me a nice comfy chair and chill with my nook in one hand and a Strawberry Daq. in the other!  Sounds good, huh? This ship has so much stuff to do that my kids best not ever say the words "i'm bored!!"  If they do, I'm am going to wave over a waiter and get another drink....I'm telling you!!

Ok on to craft stuff. Recently I started chit-chatting with a fellow crafter/blogger. Anniebee does some beautiful work and I was ewww'in and awww'in (I don't know how to spell that but you get the idea!! LMBO) over her beautiful Roses!!  Well guesss what? She sent me some and they are even better in person. I am serious, I am totally blown away over the way these things are crafted. Not only are the beautiful (and they really are) they are the sturdiest Roses I have ever seen. I'm telling you...this girl has talent.

You can check out here Blog HERE.
Here are the beautiful roses  she sent me. I  love PINK!

Can you see the Rosebuds?? Oh my, I was just soooo happy with my package!! Thank you Anne!!! You're the Best!

So of course I got these beautiful flowers and I just had to use them on a card. Best thing is that I had already started coloring this up beforeI got them and they go perfectly.

Is this not the cutest image?? When Mo Manning released these BBW (big beautiful Woman) digi's I was pretty happy. I think they are adorable. I can see this one being used for a bday card for my hubby....or for a BFF...which is how I have used it. Of course when I saw this, I had to go on the hunt for a great sentiment because it's just one of those images that needs that. Ya know?

The Inside says " The secret of staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age." Lucille Ball

I loved the qoute and thought this was a great girlfriend card. Can you just see her saying "Happy Birthday,  Darling." and then air kissing both sides of her cheek. Well if you don't sorry... that's what I see!!! hehe

Here's Anne's beauties again....oh and the blue things I made with wire and flower soft.

I colored this image with copic markers but I did do a little bit of highlighting with some Prisma color pencils in the dress. The matte is a the lacey square die from spellbinders. I cut out to and made it a rectangle so it would fit my long image. The papers are from My Minds Eye. The roses are handmade by ANNIEBEE. Check out her blog, she has some fabby things. I especially love the box she made with these gorgeous roses all over it! So pretty.

I know this post was long....but I have been so busy and my post lately have been rushed and tonight I am actually NOT rushed and had a few minutes to blabber!

So Sweet - CMC and Mo'

**Looking for my BLOG CANDY? Go HERE. Ends April 30th.**

Well hello, hello! Did ya miss me? It seems forever since I have posted but really it's only been like 3 days. I seem to go in waves in my posting!  I have another busy weekend ahead of me. It's my brother and my sis-in-laws bday so they have a big annual party at their house.  Plus I am going to make a super quick trip to Orlando prior to going there...I need to return something at the mall and of course shop some more (I do that best, trust me).  Maybe on Sunday I will get to sit down and enjoy myself in my room. Wait, on second thought...the family will still be here...so I guess thats out!  They have been REALLY good at making me feel guilty lately if I spend more time than needed in my craft room. I think Hubs should let me quit my job that way I can craft while he works and the kids are at school. Yes..I think that would be best!! teehee!

Anyways, enough about that, I do have a card to share.  Color Me Creative (CMC) is having a new challenge this week and it's pastels. I just bought this fab image from Mo Manning. I love her images...they are just tooo cute. So I colored her up with Copics and paired her with some Fab papers from prima (pretty sure). THe flowers are a mixture of three companies (Wild Orchid, Prima and Irene's garden).

I decorated inside!!  haha I know that isn't a big deal, but it is for me. I get lazy and I'm usually pretty excited once I have completed a card so I just sorta stop and don't do the inside. However, I love when the insides are done. I was on a roll, my next couple of cards coming out all have decorated insides. Makes me so proud of myself!

That's all for tonight. Get on over to the CMC site and join us in the challenge! We sure would love to have you!

Challenges:
Mo Digital - Start of something new (New BLooms!!) ;-)
Inspire me Fridays - Anything Goes
Totally Papercrafts - Springtime
Stampin Royalty - Spring has Sprung

What's Cookin'

It's Monday...happy, happy, joy, joy! (Is the sarcasm seeping out of that?)  I do NOT like Mondays. Just sayin'.  My Sunday was filled with cleaning and Laundry....I have hardly been home lately and you can tell by looking at my home! Life doesn't seem like it's going to calm down any in the upcoming month either.  I need a stay-vacation. A week of just being at home.  Afterschool today I promised my daugther we would go swimming..she wanted to soooooo badly yesterday but there just wasn't enough hours in the day. So that's my big plan for the day - swimming!  Sorry all you in other parts of the country...but yes...it's been super gorgeous here in South Florida and the water is so nice and warm! The other day, it was actually almost too warm...didn't really cool us off but was still refreshing!

On to the card (I find I'm saying this alot lately...I guess it's my "thing" sorry you have to deal with my "thing".)  Over at CMC we want you to color (using your copics of course) metals.  Mo' Manning had this Fabulous little girl for a buck right after the Tsunami in Japen and had all the proceeds go to the disaster. So of course I snatched her up. She is just toooooo adorable. I love baking and cooking, so this was a no-brainer for me.

I know I could have used something a bit bigger to show off the metals...but they are cute pots! ;-) Everything is colored with Copic markers. I paperpieced her apron and then added copics on top of it to give it some depth. The oval is cut with a spellbinder and I used a Martha Border punch for to create the matte around the oval. The spatcula charm I believe is from Karen Foster. Not sure where the sentment came from...but I like it!  Here are those FAB papers from MME again. I think I need to buy some more pads! I can't stop using them. They are my current go to papers. Perfect for paper piecing too because the patterns are so small. Love them. The pearls were originally white and I colored those with my Copics too.

Come on over to the CMC site and join us in the challenge.  I also have BLOG CANDY - ends April 30th

Challenges:
I Did It Creations - Anything Goes
Craft your day Away - Spotty dotty
Shannons Sentiments - Use on Oval
Digis w/Attitude - Anything Goes
Stamp Something - Use something Digi
Dutch Dare - Distressing
Scrapbook Sisters - Mom or special lady

Ms. Diva....

I am SOOOO very late posting this. It should have went up over the weekend, but I had a crazy - busy weekend!!  My girlfriends and I got together on Saturday and made 6 projects together. They were all adorable and quite different from each other.  Then we met up with some friends for a drink at a local lounge, it just happens to be near the beach and it was the night of the "Super Moon". That was pretty cool. We walked over to the beach and the water was up so high. When we walked up the berm we couldnt go any further because the tide was up the high! It was crazy. I have never seen it that high.  The ocean was strangely calm too...like glass. Which made for a beautiful night. The moon was glistening off the water beautifully!

On Sunday I went with a friend to see "Red Riding Hood". I thought it was really good. I was pleasently surprised!  We intended on seeing "Beastly" but changed our minds. Then we did some shopping damage. It was a busy weekend that just flew by.

While I was busy with the weekend, I forgot to put up my CMC Bday Challenge post..;-(   Bad Tracy!!  I did get it uploaded so Suzanne could post it on the CMC site, but never made it to my blog!

The challenge was to use Purples, Yellows and Creams....I used Copics to color the image and the image is from Mo' Manning.  Speaking of, have you seen the new "fuller figure" woman she has release this last week? Omg  - So cute.  Not sure who I would give them to...but I LOVE them! I guess I like them so much because I am a fuller figured gal who happens to be  pretty comfortable with myself. I mean, of course I would love to lose a few lbs (ok more than a few) and I would be totally happy...but I am not going to sit around and feel sorry for my tubby butt with a container of Ice Cream. I think I am cute and thats all that matters!  I will go to a club and dance with all the skinny hotties...and not give a darn!  So check out these cuties...

Come over to the Color Me Creative Classroom to see all the other DT's work when you get a chance!

Not much else to say, I think that was long enough!!!

Challenges:
Crafts n Me - Anything Goes
Spoonful of Sugar - ribbons, pearls, flowers
My time to Craft- Ladies day (young or old)
Stamping Vacation - Playing Dressup
Catch the bug - baby or child

North Pole Elves....

Merry Christmas Everybody!!!!!!!!  Sorry I have been on a bit of a hiatus....but "Tis the Season" to be busy!!!  What little time I have had I just haven't been in the coloring and card making mood, KWIM. I almost forgot that I had these too little cuties colored and never posted them. Figured today was the last day that I could do that.

I just LOVE these little guys. Aren't they the cutest bunch of Elves you've eva' seen!!!  Of course they are from Mo Manning, she is an exceptional artist. Mo Manning and Elisabeth Bell are my favorite illustrators. There images just make you smile.

Ingredients:
Copic markers
Primsa Color pencils
Martha Punches
Spellbinders Nesti for the circle
Ribbon (stash from Michaels)
Paper - ??
Stickles

Hard to see in the photos but they are all stickled up. I always seem compelled to add stickles to things. Don't know what it is...just something I do.  You see the present in the one elves hand....fingers crossed I think it may be a Spellbinders Grand.  I am hoping Santa is good to me this year!!! I mean, I sent him direct links of where to purchase it all...lol

Now I am off to start cooking for tomorrows dinner. I am making Italian.  So going to start the sauce today, it has to cook all day. Then I will get the stuffed shells ready. I usually do lasagna, but I am changing it up this year. I have a bunch of desserts to make also. Two desserts will go to my moms house for Christmas Eve celebration and then the rest will be at my place for tomorrows dinner. So here is my line-up for dinner:

Stuffed shells
Pasta w/meatballs
Homemade bread
Ricotta Pie
Red Velvet Trifle
Pumpkin Pie
Spin/Artichoke Dip

The only thing missing is Italian Wedding Soup. I always make way to much stuff, so I took that off the rotation this year. However, I will probably make some during the week. It's going to cool off a bit here again...so I will be wanting some warm soup!!

To end, I would like to wish everybody a very Merry Christmas. I hope Santa brings you everything you need or want. Most of all, enjoy your family and friends today. (and food, you can regret it after! thats my plan)

Merry Christmas,

Lil' Drummer Boy -Mo Manning

Evening!! Boy, I have been on a role with the cards and my house is proof of it. I have a quick post for you of one of my favorite little images from Mo Manning. He is the little drummer boy and he is just tooooo precious.

He is colored with Copic markers on Papertrey Ink paper. I'm not sure who the patterned papers are from. I even just went to double check and there is no label...strange.  The ribbon is from CTMH and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I cut out the oval with a spellbinder die.

Challenges:
Cards for Men - Christmas
Oh La La - Inspired by Christmas Song

Thats about all for this little cutie, plus I am beat. Off to bed I go!!!

I believe - Holly Fairy

Hello! Quick post for you. I finally got around to coloring up some Mo Manning images. I have been so busy lately, I haven't had a chance. I had forgotten how much I LOVE her stuff. You will be seeing a couple post with her images this week. I have to get the others made into cards! Today I have Holly Fairy.

It was such a GORGEOUS day out today. High of 58, bright blue skies...so I thought I would do something different for me and take the photo outside. I stuck it on my wreath...worked ok.

I colored Holly Fairy with Copic markers and did some shading and highlights in Prisma Color pencils. I used liquid glass on the snow globe. The sentiment is from CTMH. The snowflakes are from a MS punch. I added stickles to them. The paper is from the Jovial collection by Basic Grey. I LOVE that paper pack!

Crafty day....

I was a busy little girl today. I have two for you! ;-) First one is a Magnolia from the new summer collection.

I colored Tilda with Copic Markers. The paper, sentiment and ribbon are from Close to My Heart. The border around the circle is actually the loop punch from martha, I just cut off the loops ;-)

Challenges/Sketches:

Now on to the next one. This is a digital image from Mo Manning. It's actually 2 images (To the Beach and Jeffy, I'm pretty sure thats right Ha! ). I merged the images together using a free program called Paint.net

I colored this using Copics and prisma colors for the background shadows. I printed the sentiment from the computer. The flower is handmade using the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die.

School's around the corner.........

It doesn't seem like it, but school will soon be here. OH MY! We are already halfway through the summer. I haven't told my children this yet, don't want to break their hearts just yet!! I was thinking of school and kinda got in a school mood. So naturally when I downloaded this little image from Mo's digital pencil I had to make up a card!!

She is colored with Copic markers, background is prisma color pencils. The papers are old dp's.....I mean really old lol The paper hole punch is Stampin' Up.

Here are the copics I used. I have a feeling I inadvertantly put the colors I used for her hair away and I can't remember what they were exactly!! Sorry!
