Crafty day....
I was a busy little girl today. I have two for you! ;-) First one is a Magnolia from the new summer collection.
I colored Tilda with Copic Markers. The paper, sentiment and ribbon are from Close to My Heart. The border around the circle is actually the loop punch from martha, I just cut off the loops ;-)
Challenges/Sketches:
Now on to the next one. This is a digital image from Mo Manning. It's actually 2 images (To the Beach and Jeffy, I'm pretty sure thats right Ha! ). I merged the images together using a free program called Paint.net
I colored this using Copics and prisma colors for the background shadows. I printed the sentiment from the computer. The flower is handmade using the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die.

Friends at heart....
Evening all! I have a tendency to craft at night. Taking pictures can be a bit of a challenge!! I typically use my OttLite and a couple sheets of white paper. It works ok, but I wanted better color. So, tonight I made a light box. It was sooooooo easy and I think it worked quite well.
I think my box could have been a tad more deep. The I could have gotten the card in it further with the light coming down it it more evenly. However, I would say.....mission acccomplished!
Now on to the card! This is my one and only Bildmalarna that i have. I purchased this baby from Stamping Scrapping. I used copics to color her, sorry I don't know which ones. I colored this image sometime ago and didn't write it down. The DP is from Imaginisce. The CS is from CTMH. Flowers are Wild Orchid flowers and the Sentiment was made and printed by myself.

Mermaid Tilda....
So I was going to wait on posting this card til mid week, but I get antsy after I finish a card and just want to get it posted. Anybody else like that? So you're probably tired of seeing me today, but luckily the post will be short because I have said everything that needed to say in the previous 2 post!!
I colored Mermaid Tilda with Copic markers. The paper is from Little Yellow Bicycle - boardwalk collection. The sentiment is from Just-Rite Stamps. Ribbon and pearls are from my stash. I put stickles (waterfall and crystal) on the tail, bubbles and shells.
Ok, so I lied, I do have one more thing to say! hehe How my craft room is set up, I have my back to the large window and desk area when I am at my workstation. So I was busy making Mermaid Tilda and when I turned around I saw this.....
So of course being the scrapbooker that I am.....I grabbed my camera. So funny, this is my 5 yr old daughter. She loves to make cards with me. So she did her "set up" to take the picture of her cards........I thought this was pretty funny. Tell me she doesn't watch and learn everything!
Have a great remainder of your weekend....I know, not much left!
Hugs,
Winter Tilda...
Oh boy, my friend and I did a road trip yesterday to West Palm Beach to hit up one of my favorite places to go, Everything Scrapbook and Stamps and then to Ft. Lauderdale to visit Stamp Shak. We had such a great time. First, the ladies in Everything scrapbook and stamps are awesome. Lisa and Rosemary were working and we really had a nice time chatting with them. They had a wall full of Magnolias too!! Decisions, decisions.....I held out, I only picked up 3 maggies from there. However, I did make a rather large Just-Rite stamps dent! ouch! Oh and paper...paper...paper! They carry the graphic 45 papers....luv em! We actually left that store, went to the Stamp Shak (where I picked up 2 more maggies) nd then went BACK to Everything Scrapbook and Stamps....were I did more Just-Rite damage! We had a great time yesterday. We chatted the day away about stamping and our precious maggies!
I have no earthly idea of what this Tilda is called, but for some reason I have always thought she was cute. I also liked the idea that I could use some of my flower soft! ;-)

You can see the Flower Soft on the tree in this one quite well. I like the effect and how it turned out!
I colored _____? Tilda (call me lazy but I haven't went and sought out her name yet) with Copic markers. The background is prisma color pencils. Flowers are from Wild Flower orchids. Paper is from my stash. The Sentiment is a Just Rite border and the center is from Close to my Heart. Worked perfectly together!

4-Drawer Easel Card
Quick post - While blog hopping one night I ran across Kirsten Aune's blog and saw this 4-drawer Easel card. She has a little tutorial on there as well. Her blog is fabulous. She has some beautiful things on it. Very talented!! Here is what I came up with using her tutorial as inspiration.
Getting the boxes together withought them moving was a bit tricky, but I love how it turned out. I used Copic markers to color Tilda. Stickles, MS border punch. All the papers are from Close to my Hearts - Notebook paper pack. Flowers are from Wild Orchids

Bon Voyage Edwin!
Yea!! I got my summer kit last night. I was in the middle of doing my previous post for the Just Magnolia Challenge so I didn't get to them last night. My daughter did though. She saw that mermaid Tilda and was like...oh mommy...I want that one..please!! Her and I sat in my room until quite late and made cards. I will post hers below too. I figured since I didn't get to ink them all up, I would at least get the EZ-Mount on them so they would be ready for me in the morning.
First thing I had to do was clean up my craft room. Do you have any idea what kind of mess can be made, esp. having a 5 year old making cards with you. I don't know about you all but I have to clean before making another card. It can be a pain because boy do I make a mess when I make a card!!
So here is what i came up with out of the summer kit, I also used the sketch from Sketch Saturday

Edwin and background were colored with Copic markers. All the paper is from Close to my Heart. I used stickles on the waves. Sentiment is from CTMH and brads.
Now here is what my daughter made. She had a little bit of help from me, but not much. I tied the bows and helped her pick out some of the paper. But she did the rest. She has even learned to use the cuttlebug and nesties. She did all the coloring herself, picked out the colors she wanted to use by herself too. Not to bad for 5...almost 6 (in August). <3

In the Summertime......
I was off work today. I pretty much played in my craft room the entire day, it was so nice! (hence 3 post in one day!! hehe) I saw online people started getting their summer kits from Magnolia Sweden. I knew I would have to patiently wait because usually the states don't get theirs as quickly as as overseas. So of course I didn't check my mailbox at all today. Hubby got home at 5:30 and brings in the mail and what do I see???? I see an envelope. I'm like hrmm...thats strange, I dont remember ordering anything else. So I get it in my hot little and hand lo' and behold it's my precious Magnolia Summer kit. I already knew what was inside because there was no way I was waiting, so I peeked at others post. I gotta get them on some foam and then get them inked up! Can't wait. I was in the process of making a card for Just Magnolia when my package arrived. So here it is:
Tilda is colored with Copic markers (see below), flowers are from Prima Flowers and Wild Orchids, border punch is MS, sentiment is CTMH, paper is My Minds Eye. I used stickles on the dots of her bathing suit and on the water.
Challenges: Just magnolia
