Hiya! I had a much needed night out with some friends last night. First it was dinner with the girls then off to the Jetty Lounge for a couple of drinks with my "crew". Had a good night. Today we may hit up the Italian Fest for a little bit and then not much else on the agenda. So here is hoping that I get some of these colored images onto cards!! Isn't that a swell idea!

Today I get to show off this adorable little Humprey!! The set is called "Father's Day" and I know I am a little early, but it will be here before we know it.

When I color up my images I always like to add some "grounding". I don't want my little characters to look like they are floating in mid air. I usually try to use one or two different alcohol inks and blend out. You will notice I try to add shadows to the ground where I think shadows may be. These little details make the world of difference on your card! I also almost always outline my image in grays or blues. I think it makes the image pop and gives it more realism.

I think he came out adorable and I am sure the hubby will just love it! The inside says of course says "Happy Fathers Day".

Apple of My Eye - Magnolia

This is a very special post! Why? Well, because just noticed that it is my 300th blog post!! woohoo! I can't believe that....not to mention my 2 year blogoversary is just around the corner!! Never thought that when I started blogging I would make that many cards and say that many things and on top of it all, I have bloggie friends that actually want to see and hear what I have to say! That's pretty cool!!

This is my SECOND post today. So if you scroll down below this I have another magnolia that posted a little earlier. I got all these new adorable magnolias from the Sweet Crazy Love collection and I am trying to get all the completed valentines cards posted without bombarding you.

Oh and I should mention again how sad it is that I am NOT on an airplane headed to CHA right now....lol Boy my kids better love me...thats all I'm saying!! Momma cancelled her CHA trip for her little ~~rugrats~~...er....angels. It's ok....I just keep chanting Chicago in the back of my mind......

Enough of my babbling.

When I saw this tilda I thought she was so adorable...ok I think that about all of them....but I really liked this one! I paired her with some old dp's from my CTMH days. I love my new large scallop die, I bought that from MFT. The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts. I used a scallop spellbinder for the matte behind my image. I wish my black ribbon hadn't photo so poorly!

I even through a little decor on the inside. The sentiment is computer generated.

Love You! Magnolia

As I am writing this I am a wee bit sad. I should be boarding a plane to Anaheimtoday!!! ;-( Instead I will be getting my hair done..lol It's true.....no CHA for me this winter. But, I will have some wonderful red or purple hightlights in my hair! haha If I get brave enough, I may even chop a little hair off...hrmmm....probably not..but ya never know. This is the one time of year that I will actually wear my hair down. Normally I have it all balled up because I have such thick hair that I swear in this florida heat it reaches temps of 120+ on the back of my neck! So yea, I wear it up most of the time. Sometimes I straighten it and I will wear it down for a few days....but it's so difficult to do it myself. It takes forever and when I say I have alot of hair, I am SO NOT KIDDING. I have loads of hair...like ridiculous amounts. So something needs to be done....so instead of sitting on a plane next week, I will be sitting chatting with my awesome hairdresser.

You're the best and a Tutorial!

Quickie post for me today. I am showcasing a simple tutorial on The Greeting Farm Blog today.

I used Simply Anya and I just adore how versatile she is and fun to color!

I grabbed these fabby papers rom my LSS awhile back ago. I love gray and pink together, always have. However this gray is not your standard gray and besides that I didn't have any gray ribbon or lace. So I used my handy little copics to color it to match my papers.

These papers are by Authentique and are part of the "Free Bird" collection.

I grabbed my W4 copic because that is what I used to color up my sweet "Simply Anya"

You don't have to worry about every nook and crannie, the ink will spread and fill in some areas for you.

Here is the finished product perfectly matched to my papers.

Lucky Bunny!! - TGF

Hello Monday morning! It's so not nice to see you. LOL Why, oh why do weekends go by so very quickly! I was having a perfect weekend....and then Monday showed up! It's just not fair. This past week I decided to try my hand at "meal planning". Right now I just run into the grocery store whenever, usually after work, and grab what I "THINK" I might need to make dinner. However, I ALWAYS grab way more than I actually need because I forget what I have already at home and I will grab things that are on sale that we always use. So basically I have accumulated numerous items in my freezer and pantry. Sometimes those things sit for long periods and then I end up having to pitch them which is so darn wasteful. So I decided to meal plan. I took a 12x12 frame and added some pretty DP in it and using a dry erase marker I have wrote down all the meals for the week that I am going to make. Now, cooking 7 days is not realistic in my household. So I only planned for 5 meal for the week. The other 2 are for going out and/or leftovers! I then inventoried my entire pantry and freezer. I grabbed my recipes and wrote down all the ingredients that I was lacking. Guess what I had to buy...2 things! LOL I was floored and I planned some pretty darn good meals!! We'll see how this goes. So far so good. Today is day 3....we are having marinated grilled chicken w/a veggie, simple but good. I'm saved the easier things and crockpot items for during the week.

I did get loads of cuties colored up this weekend and even managed to get a few cards made. You can check out some of the images I colored on my Facebook Page - HERE. Be sure to "like" my facebook page too...I'm going to start doing giveaways via facebook!!

Today I would like to share with you another cutie from The Greeting Farm. This little guy is from the Lucky Bunnies set. I also added a "made from the heart" stamp on the back and it comes from the Made By set which is also from The Greeting Farm.

I used the swiss dots embossing folder on plain white cardstock from my background. I added some ribbon, tied it off at the and added a button. Hard to see from the picture, but there is a thick coating of Glossy Accents on the balloon.

Good morning! Today I am bringing you this little cutie from Inky Impressions. Her name is Ice Skating Rachel and she is simply adorable.

My little tip for the day - I didn't have any small brown flowers. So I used my Copics to color beige flowers. I also sprayed some Tatter Angels Glimmer Mist on them to give them a little shimmer.

Valentine Treat Box....

Good morning! I just want to know one thing...why on earth does my family expect me to cook for them EVERY night??? Geeesh, the nerve of them! I can't seem to catch a break! I get home from work.....make dinner...clean the dishes up...nicely ask the kids to clean up the main living areas of the house (they don't listen)...sternly ask the kids to pick up (still not listening)....then I go on to yell at the top my lungs for the children to clean up after themselves (this form of communication doesn't seem to work well...might I add...lol) I have tried other things, but they don't work either. So finally I just go to bed...and say...to hell with it all! LOL Sadly, this seems to repeat the following day...;-(

Aaahhhhh, I need a vacation.....a girls getaway would be nice! Any takers? lol It must include lots of margaritas and wine though!!! Maybe a spa day too....just no cooking, cleaning and whining!

Now that I have snapped out of my dream.....I would like to share with you a simple Treat Box I created for iCopic.

It's called a 2,5,7,10 box and I have paired it with Wrapped Heart Tilda from the latest Sweet Crazy Love collection by Magnolia.

She is colored with copics. To create some dimension I cut her out and added some foam dots to the back. The papers that I used are from Echo Park and CTMH.

Don't forget to check out iCopic. There are a few new stamp lines that they now are carrying, including MFT and Some Odd Girl. Plus you can preorder the newest Copic colors for a VERY nice price!

Lala - Bday Wishes

Ok so I will admit, I wasn't a fan of LA LA's at first....their ginormous (I'm so glad they made that an official word and I can use it freely now!) faces just weren't my thing...kinda like some people DO NOT like Magnolias because they have no mouths....however...I am totally coming around to them and really starting to like them!! I even have a collection of them and another one on the way!!! ha! I will say, they are so much fun to color.

I actually have 2 cards to show to you today. I made these both for an upcoming class at my local Scrapbook store! If you are in the neighborhood, please come join me!

It took me awhile of playing and LOTS of ink I am sure...but in the end I love how vibrant her dress came out! Those great papers are from Authentique, free bird collection. They are so pretty and I love the weight and feel of them.

The next one I have for you today is this little Rocker from La-La Land Crafts.

These papers are also from the Free Bird- Authentique line. The looked boyish to me and I thought they would be perfect with him. I do think he is cute too!

Hey everybody! How was everybodys weekend, I hope you got to have a nice long weekend , like I did!! I had no "real" plans and lots of play time!! I kinda just hibernated in my craft room for about 2 days....I told the family to throw me some food here and there and life would be good! I'm kidding! But I did get quite a bit done and we had some good family time too.

Ever heard of a game called Quelf? I got it in a gift exchange and I have to tell you, it was pretty darn fun. It has you do random acts of goofiness and I can't begin to tell you how much we laughed. At one point I swear I was going to pee my pants. The types of things it has you do varies. Sometimes you will have to go around the table and list items in a specific category. Like breakfast foods or Star Wars Characters. The next thing you know you get a card (which I got this one) that says it's "Classified" meaning you can't tell them the details..then you say "I'm sorry, I need to go to the restroom, please excuse me" and then you are suppose to go to the bathroom and NOT COME BACK until somebody comes and gets you. The person that finally comes gets 2 bonus points. Then there are all these "Rules" throughout the game. Like you have to talk like a pirate or say a phrase after every sentence you say. We had a blast playing it and can't wait to get the adults together to play an adult version. I think it could be easily adaptable to include a few drinks! ;-))

We often get together and play a drinking game called "Ring of Fire" . We love it and it's VERY similiar to the game I just described. I like it because it isn't one of those get drunk off your butt college games, but more of a get tipsy, laugh and have fun adult game! lol

So there was my weekend fun now I am back to work tomorrow! It's a short week, thank goodness! My last bit of news and then I will share my card....I would have been boarding a plan on the 25th heading to CHA but waaaahhh, my plans got all boogered up so I had to cancel. :-(( I am sooooo going to miss going and really am bummed about it. I had so many plans to meet some bloggie friends and even had an extra day to bum around LA. Now I will probably end up flying up to Ohio to see my childhood friend and some family one long weekend to use up my ticket!!

Today I would like to share with you another card using a stamp from the Ms. Anya Garland set from The Greeting Farm. I just think she is so adorable.

I paired her up with these fabby papers from MME. I don't know about you but as soon as I catch wind of a MME 6x6 release, I am ALL ON IT! I just LOVE their papers and they coordinate so well together. That lucious big sentiment is from a dollar bin at Michaels! I scrunched up some ribbon and added a little rosette from K&Company.

Hello! Another quickie post. Today I am sharing MADDEN from The Greeting Farms latest release. I don't think she takes much from people, what do you think? She looks like a tough cookie! I love her hair though, and I had fun coloring it.

I used Copics to color her......whats new, right? hehe The picture didn't come out very well, it' has this "Shiny" look to the DP. Hate when that happens. I often create at night and take my pictures then too. It's easier because I work during the natural good light! But because of that, sometimes my photos suffer...as this one did!

Kanji Release.... Crafter's Companion

Good morning! I am really running behind today....so forgive if I keep this super short! Crafter's Companion next release are going to be the Kanji stamps. Here is a card I made using the Happy Birthday image by Kanji.

For me this was a tough one...1 because it's not my normal style but mostly because there was NO COLORING! lol I haven't made a card without coloring in sooo very long! Felt alittle strange. I kept looking at it thinking it needed more, was missing something. I think that was it....I didn't spend enough "time" with it via coloring!

TGF - You and Me

Morning! First I want to say Happy Birthday to my sweet baby boy! Ok, so he's not a baby anymore...but he is my baby!! He is 12 today and I can't believe that I have a 12 year old. It just seems so crazy!!! He's an awesome kid and the best son anybody could have! So Happy Birthday to him! Now we have to decided how we are going to celebrate it! As he gets older he doesn't want the typical birthday parties. He is usually quite content on just having some friends over and playing video games. So I'm sure thats what we will end up doing. A couple of friends asked, "Ohhhh what kind of cake are you going to make him". They know I LOVE to bake and they also love to eat what I make....funny thing is....my son doesn't want a cake from me. Nope..he wants donuts. Just plain old Dunkin Donuts. So the last few years I go out and buy his donuts and then stack them up and put a candle on them to make a donut cake! lol He is perfectly happy with that!

Today I am showing another cutie from the latest release at The Greeting Farm. I love these little Ms Anya Garlands. I also used the "Made with Love" from the Made By clear stamp set.

I found these adorable, colorful heart papers in my stash. I am trying to use up some of my supplies!! I am a paper hoarder and I have so much! Now I just love the 6x6 pads and I ALWAYS grab for those first. However, next to all those are loads of 12x12 papers, most new but alot from my scrapbooking days. I have weeded some of those old styles and looks out and donated it to the kids school, but I still have loads.

Favorite thing.....

Hello everybody! Here for another challenge at Magnolia-licious. It's a color challenge and we want to see Red, Pink and Whites. I have used litte Ice Skating Tilda. I know it's easy for most of you to use a "wintery" tilda this time of year....but not so much for me! To me winter basically ends after Christmas and it just doesn't feel right using "wintery" images afterwards. Strange I know...but it's true. I think it has to do with the 81 degree weather we keep having here in Florida!

I didn't see Ice Skating Tilda in the Magnolia-licious store. However, I do know that Diana is always getting in shipments, so she is sure to come back around soon. I colored her up with my Copic markers and added some stickles to the ground to look like ice. And....although this is a wintery tilda, she has those little hearts on her and I paired it with a cute little saying which could easily go for a Valentine card! ;-)

Hello Peeps! Why do weekends FLY by!!! I hate it! I made a quick trip to our Local Farmers Market this morning. It was GORGEOUS out. Perfect day for it and there were so many vendors. We have one of the best Farmers Markets around . It's a perfect place to spend a Saturday morning. The food is amazing too. They have so much more than just your typical fruits and veggies. I came home with bags full of fresh veggies, some yummy fruit and some homemade soaps. We even had breakfast there too! Then my daughter and I got some play time in at A Scrapbook Store, my LSS. We hung out for a few hours just coloring, came home and played some Pictionary on the WII. Funny story, my husband drew a telephone, but he drew an old style rotary looking phone, would you believe my daughter had NO IDEA what it was! She was totally perplexed. LMAO. We were cracking up...it was so funny.

Have you seen the latest Sweet Love release from Magnolia-licious? They are super adorable. I liked so many of them but this was one of my favorites. I figured I best get some of these things posted before I run out of time and Valentines day sneeks up on me!

I tried adding some deep shading by using some W's. I colored the stripes in black but then added some white with a Sharpie poster pen so they would "pop".

The paper is from a Bo Bunny 6x6 pad. I drew the leaves and cut and distress them.

Lovely as a Tree - Art Kure

Good morning....Tracy here today. So are you getting excited about all the newest releases at Crafter's Companion? Just hold your horses, they will be here soon I promise! Until then we get to tease you with lots of beautiful cards and hopefully get you inspired to create away!!

My card for today is this beautiful tree by Art Kure! I added some dots with my Spectrum Noir Markers to look like changing fall leaves.

I then punched out some leaves, scored and sanded them to distress them a little bit. Added a nice big button...and a beautiful twine bow. Cute simple and fast! That's how I like to keep it. Thanks for coming by today! Great things are happening........

Just Because.....The Greeting Farm

It's me again!!!! You're going to get tired of me I'm telling you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hehe Today I have card for you from one of the newest releases at The Greeting Farm. She is from the Ms. Anya Garland set. You must see the other 2 girls in the set as well, they are all so stinkin' cute! I had so much fun coloring them all but the hair on this one was my favorite! Isn't it adorable?

I used some paper from MME and decided to Paperpieced her dress. I added some highlights with my copic markers. I then restamped the image and colored in all those cute little flowers. I cut them out (tell me what I was thinking?? LOL) and used Scrapdots by Helmar to pop them up just a bit. If you have used scrapdots it's pretty neat product. It comes in a tube and is the consistancy of a like an ointment, but it drys firm and gives it that little bit of dimension like using foam dots. It really is great when you are trying to get different levels of dimension which is hard to achieve with regular foam dots.

Good morning! Today is my FIRST post for the iCopic Design Team. They are one of my "gasp" many new DT's that I recently joined! I'm telling you I am going to be a BUSY woman these next few months!! This might actually be a good thing, I will be sooooo busy making cards that I might not be out shopping as much...which would most definitely make the hubby happy. However....because I will be making so many cards and projects I will definitely need more supplies because the room full that I have can't be enough!!!! lol So be sure to come back often and see what I am up to. I will be sharing various things from iCopic, The Greeting Farm, Crafter's Companion and Inky Impressions....and of course Magnolia-licious.

If you haven't been to the iCopic store yet, you should!! Get there NOW....there prices seriously are great and they sell Copic Markers, Refills, STAMPS, paper....and more. So you must go check them out!

I was going back and forth on what to create and I had this little cupcake kit just sitting there waiting to be shared. What makes it more perfect is that on Thursday we hope to share with you creations that are 3-D!! I found this adorable idea from Becky Roberts. I love cupcakes....so this is definitely right up my alley.

I used Sugar and Spice by La La Land Crafts. She is available in the iCopic Store.

I used plastic test tubes and filled them with assorted sprinkles. Sorry about the pictures....my lighting in my room that day was TERRIBLE. I just couldn't get a good shot of this. So everything looks a little funny to me.

Another idea I had for the inside was to make cupcake picks and have a little pocket in there to hold them. How cute would that be!

Ski Bunny - Inky Impressions

Good morning! Shame on me but I totally forgot to shout this from rooftops yesterday. I am now a member of the Inky Impressions Design Team!!!!! It has been crazy around my house these last few weeks. I have been busy creating away. I took a little break from DT 's over the summer and about two months ago I figured I would apply to a couple and see what came of it. Well I am very happy to say I was chosen for all that I applied for and sadly had to turn down two. Never in a milliin years had I thought I would get ALL of them! LOL I am very grateful to say the least. So you will be seeing way more than you probably want to see of me in the upcoming months!!

Today is my first post for Inky Impressions and its also a new challenge over on the blog. I do hope that you are able to join us in this challenge as it's "Anything Goes". I will admit I applied for this DT because I thought the images were adorable. Now that I have gotten a chance to really work with them I am kicking myself for not trying them out sooner. They are very detailed image and were a joy to color. So I am excited to get started with Inky and can't wait to share some more cards and creations with you.

Mamaw is colored with Copic Markers. The paper is from Bo Bunny. I swear, it matches! LOL It's actualy coordinating paper and the DP's are what are on the other side. Arghh....but then after I put it all together and started looking at it I was like..hrmm...that sure doesn't look like it matches well...lol But I promise you it's from the same sheet! Hard to see, but I added some stickles to the snowflakes. Used a spellbinder die for the scallop circle and thats about all on this one.

Greeting Farm Dt!!!!

OMG! I have been SOOOO excited to share this with all of you and it's been killing me to keep it secret but I was chosen to be a part of the Greeting Farm DT!! Yahhoooooo!!!! How cool is that. This is my first post for TGF and I can NOT wait to have many more!!! Wait til you see the entire new release, it is CUTE!!!

So it's release day and we are announcing all the new "Showcase DT". We have an awesome BLOG HOP for you to enjoy!!! One lucky winner who hops today will win the ENTIRE January release! ANOTHER lucky winner will win a 4x6 set of choice from the new release or a clear set of choice!

Feel Better - Strawberry Kisses

Good morning! My first post since the holidays. I've been so busy getting things ready for some new DT's that I recently joined!!!! I can't spill the beans yet....and boy is it hard!! Soon I'll be able to shout it from the rooftops!

I hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas. I had a great one. It was chaotic, but nice. Plus momma got an iPad2, which made me a very happy lady!

Today is my very first post for Crafter's Companion!!! I was so excited to join their DT. I am lucky to be postingon the Crafter's Companion Blog every Saturday!!! If you can't tell, there are so many wonderful things going on at Crafter's Companion. If you are NOT familiar with Crafter's Companion I suggest you take a look at their store. You may actually find that you are famliar with them and didn't even know it! hehe They are the carriers of lines such as SWALK, Humprey's (little elephants) and Popcorn the Bear.

The latest release is called Strawberry Kisses and they are the most adorable little kitties and doggies ever!! I think you will agree! I can't wait for you to see all of them!!

After much debating over which one to showcase for you I've decided to go with this adorable kitty in a pot. I was so nice to NOT be doing a Christmas card too!

It was so much fun to color! Did you know that Crafter's Companion now carrys alcohol ink pens? Spectrum Noirs are reasonably priced and just perfect to start your collection. You can check them out HERE. Also, have you tried out the Ultimate Tool? I have been using it for all my scoring needs. It's fabulous and folds up so nicely.

Fairy Christmas....my last one of the season!!

Hello Tuesday! Here is my final Christmas card. I love making christmas cards but I have finally had enough! LOL Sad thing is, I didn't even get christmas cards out this year to my friends and family! pathetic, I know. I kept saying that I was going to take the kids and do some pictures....but time has just been flying! It's hard to believe Christmas is only in a few days. So to all my family and friends, sorry...no card this year. Just hop on over to Facebook and you can see all the pictures you want! hehehe

This cute little stamps is called "Silver Fairy" by Wee Stamps, you can buy it from Whimsy Stamps. She was SO MUCH fun to color. I loved her hair and the wings...I can't wait to color her again!! Those fabby papers that I used are from Graphic 45, love them! Another simple and clean card. I actually made this for a class at my LSS, but ended up canceling because I have had some sick kiddos in the house. They best get better soon because we have Cookies to make and decorate and Christmas is almost here...and today starts their Winter Break....who wants to be sick during that!!

Dear Santa....

Dear Santa, I want an iPad for christmas...and world peace. ;-)

6 days til Christmas!! I'm done shopping, I'm done wrapping....I'm done. Just plain done! I don't want to see anything else to wrap, I don't want to see another cookie....I'm not even sure if I will be eager to bake for Christmas dinner desserts! LOL Ok..maybe I'm not THAT done!

This past Saturday, my mom, sister, sis-in-law and a friend got together for our annual "cookie day". Cookie day is not for the weak.....it's hours of non-stop baking!! I mean, this is serious stuff. I had a list of about 20 some cookies to make. We got most of the list done. We could have gotten all of them done but my dear sister totally messed up one batch. Don't tell, but I messed up another one....we ran out of 1 ingredient for another cookie...and the rest...well we were beat!

We got a later start this year because my daughter, who is 7, had a school play that morning. She was the narrator and she did an AWESOME job. I was so proud of her. She had to speak throughout the play in front of so many people. She was loud, clear and she showed emotion in her voice!! It was a cute little play too...it was a Gingerbread Man adaptation.

We got started baking after the play and baked until about 10:30 that night. Everybody left, I cleaned and finally sat down around midnight! I was exhausted and sick from the smell of cookies. lol I still have a couple things I would like to bake. Not sure if I will get around to that though.

This little cutie is a digi from Krista Smith, Saturated Canary. She is colored with Copic markers. I glittered up that little nutcracker. The sentiment is from the Michaels dollar bin! ;-) Quick, easy, simple card, not much else to say about it!!

Feed the birds....

Soooo....are you singing Mary Poppins yet? I am! LOL "Feed the birds...lalalalalala" You know the part towards the end (where the movie gets boring, sorry)!! I LOVE Mary Poppins, but boy the last part is a bit exhausting. Same goes for the running away part of the Sound of Music. I get a little bored....but it's my FAVORITE movie!!!!!! I can recite pretty much every line!

I like a variety of movies. My top 10 movies would have to be:

1. Sound of Music
2. Grease
3. Gladiator
4. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (yea I know it's not a "classic...but love it)
5. Godfather
6. Mary Poppins
7. Toy Story

Honorable mentions would be - Sixth Sense, E.T, The Dark Night, X-Men Series, Twilight (crappy movies...but come on!) and the BEST christmas movie - ELF! hehe

So on to the reason we are all here.....I bought this adorable image from Mo Manning. Is she not adorable. When I see it, it reminds me of that song "Feed the birds" don't ask me why...but it just does!!! LOL Now, you are probably thinking I am crazy...but I can't help it...it's what I think! LOL

Have you noticed I have been keeping my cards simple? I have noticed that. I don't think that is a bad thing AT ALL...I actually like them. The coloring pops....and it doesn't look cluttered to me...I'm ok with it! Has your style or look changed over the years? I know my does!!

See this pretty little cookie?? It's a French Macaron. I made these the other night and they were DELICIOUS! Omg...soooo yummy I can hardly explain it. I can't wait to make more with various flavors. You didn't know that I was such a baker too, huh!! Well I am...I love to cook and bake!

Good Morning all! Welcome to another challenge at Paper Sundaes! This weeks sponsor is Simon Says Stamps and the theme is "Anything Christmas". I used Holly Tilda for my card today. I apologize for the dark photo, we had a some miserable, dark and dreary weather here in Sunny Florida this weekend. Needless to say, my lighting was way off. The bow looks like it's dark brown when in fact it is really a gold color.

Sweet Holiday Wishes....

Super quick post today with no "fluff" sorry!! LoL - Come on admit it, you probably get bored with my babbling anyways!

I made this card using one of those cute girls from Stamping Bella. I then wired red and white cording for the peppermint. I glued it down using helmars glue. That stuff works great, btw! Not much else going on with her. The sentiment is from Close to my Heart. I stamped it a second time and popped up the middle using "scrap dots" from Helmars.

Of course it's all colored with Copic markers! Like there is anything else I would rather use!!

Let it Snow....

Good morning! My house is coming together, the tree is up....most of my decorations are up. I have actually already started baking! Yikes! Thats bad....but can't be helped. Well maybe it could but...it's the holiday season and baking just go hand and hand with it.

My friend wanted to learn how to make "Cake Pops"...so yesterday I had her over and thats what we made. We made the cutest little reindeers. They took quite a bit of time but where oh so adorable. Then we made Trees (which she picked at and said looked more like pears) and standard balls. I also found the BEST M&M cookie recipe at "How Sweet it Is" and tried those out. They were so yummy. Perfect chewy, crispy sides and flavor that a M&M cookie should be!! Last but not least I made a giant pot of sauce Mmmm, it was so yummy and smelled so good simmering all day long. Yes, all day. It's the only way (in my opinion) to make sauce!

So it's beginning to feel a bit like Christmas around my house, now if only the temperture would fall a bit. 80 degrees is NOT my idea of December tempertures. It truly stinks.....I'm not asking for snow, not really. All I am asking for is 70 degree weather. Maybe even 65, then I can wear all my cute little sweaters that I own for ski trips or trips up north. My card today is how I wish I could dress....the sentiment is not! LOL True, I love to see the snow....but I know that I could never live in the snow again. I like to visit it....but not live in it!

This stamp is another one of the "Uptown Girls" from Stamping Bella. They are just sooooo stinkin' cute. I picked up a few of them...all but 2....but they are so much fun to color I believe I will be picking them up soon too! ;-))) The sentiment is a Just Right Stamp. Not sure where the paper is from. I think it was Bo Bunny. Of course I have used Copics to color.

Jingle Bells......Tealight Card

Hello Bloggie friends. Another late night for me. I was trying to wrap up some things for a class that I have on Thursday. I thought I would hop on here and post another card.

This is Jingle tilda and she is from the latest christmas collection. I colored her with copic markers. The background was done in copics too. I really love how the background came out. I was trying to get the effect that it was late in the evening and I think I achieved that pretty well. I could have went a little darker, but I didn't want to screw it up! ;-)

I ;printed out the sentiment from a graphics site.

It's a tealight card. It will hold 6 tealights. Please excuse the color of the tealights. I bought oodles of Ginger Pumpkin from partylite some time ago and thats what I had laying aroung the house!

This tealight card was actually pretty simple to create once I get the dimensions down. All my scoring instruments are in inches and all the instructions I kept finding were metric! I believe I got this tutorial from Stampartic Blog.

I'm exhausted and am calling it a night. I will fill ya in on more details in the morning!!!

Beary Christmas to you!

It's late, it's late!!! I have to work tomorrow...I can't sleep. I'm up...so figured I would post something on my blog. I am VERY happy to say I have a couple of cards sitting here just waiting to go live on my blog!! It's true...I have been a busy bee. Hopefully I will have time this weekend to make some cards with all those images I have colored up. I should. I always find a little time to sneak into my room.

Are you finished with your Christmas shopping??? I am! Yay me! There is only one probably with finishing so early, I continue to buy! ;-( It's true. I'm trying to be good and not buy, but I love the excuse to go shopping. I have a couple little things that I have to make in the next few weeks still. I found the cutest "Money Tree" on Pinterest and I am going to make that for one or two of the nieces and/or nephews. All the kids in my family are getting old and they want money or gift cards, which I find boring. Simply yes, but boring. Plus I hope they realize if I buy something, it's usually more than if they get money!! ;-) I try to mix it up a little bit to make getting money fun at least. Last year I bought my Nephew a stack of ones and wadded them all up, put them in a box and wrapped it. He had to sit and undo all of them and count it. :-) I'm so nice! hehe This year, he may getting a money tree or some "dough".

On to the card. It's simple, but I love it. It's a Teddy Bo Image and I just find the colors/papers so warm and cozy! Makes me want to be up in the Carolinas in a cabin by a fire. Oh I wish!

Guess where the papers are from...yep...authentique again. I love these!! I know I keep saying it, but it's true! Everything else is from my stash of stuff. I have lots of stuff too let me tell you! A whole room to be exact! Teddy Bo comes with a big open space in the envelope and I foudn this cute sentiment with the big block letters and thought it would be perfect! I added some flower soft to the bottom for the "snow" and thats about all. See simple, easy peasy!!

Christmas Altered Paper Bag

Gooooood morning! I've been busy plugging away at some cards lately. Scratch that...I have been busy coloring images!! I have LOADS and I do mean loads of images colored up but not on cards. Here is the problem....I'm hooked on something. Yup, I am hooked on Vampire Diaries. You can stream the first and second season on Netflix. I have watched almost 26 episodes in the last 2 weeks. (not including when I was away over the long weekend). Now anybody that knows me knows that I am not a big TV person. I rarely watch it. One evening while I was coloring it was a bit quiet and boring for me in my craft room so I thought hey...I can watch some netflix while I color. Where my computer is there isn't enough room to make cards, plus I don't want to move all my supplies....but it's quite easy for me to grab my basket of copics and color while I watch. So thats exactly what I have been doing. needless to say...I have ALOT of images done just waiting to be placed onto a card. I still have about 18 episodes to go though!!

Anybody else watch Vampire Diaries? My son thinks it's ridiculous. Everytime he walks by he says something sarcastic like...since when did Vampires become the good guys? What happened to the mean, scary...i'm going to bite you vampires. Why in the world are girls soooooo obsessed with Vampires now..it's just not right. I can see my friend Lisette laughing at this right now..because she knows my son...and knows how he is! LOL He is my 11 going on 40 son. He is not mean, or rude..he just has a grown personality and he is extremely sarcastic. Hrmm..not sure where he gets that from!!!!! Anyways, he will just have to get over me lusting over Damon or Stefan....or Edward and Jacob!!!

Enough about that...This morning I have a decorated paper bag for you! I have used "Something for You" Tilda. I think she is so cute! She is also fun to color! I made a matching ornament to go inside for a little gift. I will take pictures of that later!

Aren't those papers beautiful??? They are from Authentique and I LOVE them! I wish I had more...but my LSS sold out of them when she had a class with Stacy Dewid of Tattered Angels. I do still have 1 6x6 pad of it left that I am hoarding. I don't want to use it...but I know that is silly. I am going to have to use it at some point. It will be sad to see it go though.

I printed out the sentiment on my computer. Tilda is colored with Copics. I used the R20's with R89 for the deep shadows in her dress. E40's on her hair and C's for the boots and fur. All the mattes are cut out with spellbinders. The border punch is from Martha Stewart.

Winter Wonderland.....

Good morning! I hope everybody had a lovely thanksgiving. I was spending time with my husbands aunt and uncle in Sarasota, FL over the weekend.I always enjoy visiting with them, they are so much fun to be around!

It's challenge day at Paper Sundaes and we are being sponsored by Michelles and the theme is "Winter Wonderland". Everytime I see Silent night tilda, I think of a wintery scene! I just love her. She is definitely on my favorites list!

Lookie there, I even decorated the inside. I love decorating the inside of cards I just don't do it often enough. It looks so much nicer and makes a nice sturdy card too!

These papers are an older line from MME. The flowers are from Wild Orchids. The flourishes were cut from a magnolia doohickey. The matte under my image was cut with a border punch and then I clipped it so that I can "bend" it around the oval and make a frame.

Santa Baby.....

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all have a wonderful day with you family and/or friends today. I am spending some time with hubby's aunt and uncle today along with a few other people! Then I am going to sit and debate whether or not I want to go black friday shopping. I don't mind going, but I'm not one of "those" people. You know, the ones that sit outside of a store all night long. Or the one of the ones that go out in the sweatpants, hair pulled up into a ball with a giant mug of coffee looking for that "deal". Nope, not one of those. I am however one of those people that get up when I feel like it and hope that maybe I will get a doorbuster deal or a small deal on something..just one thing and I would be happy. However, I go out mostly because it's an excuse to go shop....thats it! I typically have my Christmas shopping done by now, so I'm not looking for those mega deals.

My card to share today is an image from Stamping Bella. They are called Uptown Girls, and I LOVE them!!! I bought all but 2, but I think I need the other 2 now.

I tried really hard to get some contrast into that dress! I like the end result.

I colored her with Copic markers and added some stickles on her "fur". The papers are from We R Memories.

Keeping it short today so thats all.....again - Happy Thanksgiving....and Don't forget, I have BLOG CANDY....ends Dec 25th.

I am SUPER excited to announce that I was recently asked to be on the Crafter's Companion DT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay! I'm so excited and can't wait to joing the ladies at Crafter's Companion. I always need birthday cards. This is a by SWALK and is called "present" I love the little gift she is holding and knew it would make a wonderful Birthday Card! I colored her with Copic markers. I cut the banner out by hand. I was going to add words onto it and ended up liking it this way. So I left it alone, which is hard for me to do sometimes. Those bright pretty papers are from the new Authentique. I forget the name, but they are all so pretty! Love the colors in it.

Holiday Planner - Magnolia-licious

Hello, it's time for an inspiration challenge at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog! So are you loving the Christmas line yet? I know I am!! They are soooooo cute! I wasn't too impressed with the Winner Takes All collection at first, but some of those have really grown on me. It's nice to see how others use them too. I used Tilda with Gifts on this card. She is from a past collection, but I just LOVE her. She is so versatile. You can use her for Christmas or birthday.....showers...whatever. She is definitely a must have. You can find her in the Shop HERE

This weeks challenge is an inspiration challenge picked by the talented Pat Franks.

I purchased a 5x7 notebook from staples. They come 3 in a pack and are about a buck a piece. I then tore out a sheet of paper from the inside and used that to mark on my DP where I needed to punch my holes. After I punched the holes I cut a slit up them so that I could just glue the page down onto the book and it would go through the spiral wire. I didn't have to bind the book or anything Much simpler. I then covered and decorated the outside to my liking. I've made a few of these in the last couple of weeks. I added some tabs to the pages and I made a pen to go with it. If you buy the RSVP pens you can take a piece of paper and stick it in the tube to coordinate. I have also made beaded pens, those are always very pretty. These make great little office gifts. Of course you don't make them as a holiday planner. I did because I can add things like ppl that I need ot buy for and my holiday recipes, etc.

Back again! It's thursday and boy am I glad to see it! That means 1 more day of work and hello weekend!!! Next week is a short week for me too, yay! 2 days of work then I am off for 5 days. I can not wait!!! I need a break.

Today I want to share a Turkey Day card with you. I love this little turkey, he is a digi stamp from Stretch n' Bubbles. He is a adorable and the sign just makes it. I am actually changing it up a little more when I send it out and crossing off the "Cow" too....I'm sending this to a super sweet vegetarian ( hubby's aunt) and I hope she will get a kick out of it. We are going to spend Thanksgiving Day with them this year in Sarasota, FL. Last year we did too and my first thought was.... what are we going to eat??? Now she isn't just a vegetarian, she is also really big into Animal Rights....so her home is a NO BIRD zone! Well she didn't make us suffer tooo much! LOL She won't let the bird be cooked in her oven, so another aunt cooked it in her oven and brought it over. We made lots of good sides though. I love stuffing but my stuffing has sausage and chicken broth in it. So i searched online for a recipe that I could make that would be totally vegetarian. I found one and score one for me, it was delicious. It was made with vegetable broth, lots of onions and celery, sage, and ARTICHOKES! Yup...artichokes...it was really good. So I think I shall make that again this year!

I did have to call the auntie up and reign her in on the desserts though. lol If anybody knows me, I LOVE desserts and usually make oodles of desserts. So if I am saying there was too many desserts, there were way to many! LOL She bought like 3 dozen cannolis....I made a pumpkin pie, somebody brought a pumpkin pie. I made a pumpkin cake. We had Cherry pie and I think there was something Chocolate there. Not to mention all the candy and cookies that were laying around the house. Omg..it was like a dessert explosion. Did I mention there were only 12 of us??

So enough about that. I can't wait to go see them. They are THE BEST....not even lieing. I totally married into the best aunt and uncle EVER. Love those people!

I love these papers. They are from We R Memories. The leaves were made with a border punch, I just cut them out into individual leaves. Then I took a stylus and drew lines on it. Flipped it over and sanded it gently to bring out the "Veins" of the leaves. I used Helmars Scrap Dots to pop them. Have you used those yet? They are awesome. Takes a little getting use to because u do have to let them dry a bit, or do it last so that you don't press down. But they are great for adding dimensions. Pop dots and foam dots are nice but they are all the same height. With the scrap dots you can pile it on to make the dimension different heights. Love it.

We Wish You a Merry Christmas......

Hello Bloggie friends. I am happy to announce that I had a productive weekend in terms for cards! Mostly because I had men here putting up my backsplash in my kitchen, so of course I had to stay out of their way.....which put me into my craft room for the day! So, I got a few knocked out.....I'm not going to lie, I was struggling for a while there. My coloring was giving me fits but I can definitely see it coming back around. A few days ago I bought a few of Mo Mannings digis. Mo always has the cutest images!!! I loved all the little carolers and this lamp post is adorable!! I printed out a few of those they can go with so many things.

This weeks challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil is for folds. I have been wanting to try one of these folded cards and never got around to it, so I thought this would be a pefect opportunity.

I love how she came out. I kept wanting to make the background darker and darker, but I finally stopped. I was so afraid of screwing it up, but I may grab another image and play some more with the background. I thought it would be neat to make it dark (like night time) and have spots of lights coming through, like a village is in the background. Maybe next image!

I colored this with Copic markers and the papers are Basic Grey. I wish I could tell you where I got the tutorial on how to cut the card but I wrote it down sometime ago and didn't note it! Sorry!

Happy Turkey Day - Paper Sundaes

Good morning! I'm am exhausted!!!!!!!!!! It was a long weekend for me, we had off for Veterans Day, but I could really use another day or two off. I'm telling you life flies by way to quick for me lately. I keep saying, gosh I can't wait til next month when things get slower. Then the next month comes and that doesn't seem to happen! My husband said it's my fault that I am constantly making plans. I guess he kind of right, but not always. Sometimes things just can't be helped and it's not that I want to be doing something....but we have to.

Saturday I taught a Copic class and one other class at my LSS, A Scrapbook Store. I am in a Mixed Media group as well, which was first thing in the morning but I didn't get to attend because I am getting my kitchen backsplash FINALLY tiled! yaay! I could have made it to the group, however, I felt it neccessary to be at my house when the tilers got here just so I knew they knew how I wanted my backsplash. Sure I could have counted on my wonderful hubby to do that, but thought it best not to take the chance!! hehehe I left shortly after they came so that I could teach. My classes ended up taking a weee bit longer than I had expected...no biggie though. I had that day mapped out just for that. I did get to meet a few new ladies and I think they all did FANTASTIC. We had a great time and I was sooooo proud of their coloring when they left!

Enough of that, I'm playing along with my girls over at Paper Sundaes today! So excited about that. This week they are being sponsored by Pink Cat Studios and we want you to use a DIGI. So I picked out this cute little turkey for my card. I kept it simple.

I'm so use to making 6x6 or 5.5x5.5 cards that when I change up the shape I get perplexed on what to do! LOL Funny thing is prior to 2 years ago, I NEVER made square cards and I ONLY made 5x7 or invitation size. So needless to say, I just kept it simple.

Blue/Silver - Color Challenge

Good Morning! So are you getting all ready for the upcoming holidays? Did you already finish up your holiday shopping? Are you one of THOSE people? You know...the ones that start shopping like the day after christmas and have their entire shopping list finished by the time labor day rolls around!! LOL I can do that kind of shopping for adults, but when it comes to the kids, I find it extremely hard to do it! I mean, things change so rapidly. One month they want a DSi, the next thing you know it's a "baby" toy and they are to old for one. So with the kids I tend to finish the majority of my christmas shopping right around this time of November. I am hoping this weekend to get it completed!! After that, I usually pick up a few things here and there...but the important stuff is done! It's getting harder to find places to keep it hidden until Christmas though! My son totally scouted out the last hiding spot. My other spot was in these big storage units that I keep my Department 56 Village in. However, I'm not planning on putting up my village this year (long story) so there goes that! They were perfect too because they locked! So I'm going to have to get creative it looks like this year! Luckily as the kids get older the presents do get smaller but much more expensive!!

I picked up these papers last year from Bo Bunny. Love this line! So glad that I had some left because when I saw the challenge I thought it would be perfect for that paper! I left off the sentiment because I'm just not sure what i am going to put on it yet!!! You can't see it in the photos but there is lots of glitter on the snowflakes and on the star she is holding. You're My Favorite......

Hello All. I'm back! It's been a few days since I have posted but I have been one busy girl! I did get a chance to play a little bit with my friend over the weekend, which I really needed to do. There just doesn't seem like enough hours in a day anymore. Last post I mentioned that I would just be getting home from vacation. My hubby and some friends took a little trip to Key West 2 weeks ago.

Typically the last week of October there is a big celebration going on in Key West, called Fantasy Fest. It's kinda like Mardi Gras in New Orleans but instead of girls flashing you have people getting body painted. It's quite interesting and ALOT of fun. I'm getting old though, 7 days of staying up late and "partying" is not for me anymore! LOL I came home EXHAUSTED! Not to mention from walking in shoes that I don't normally wear my feet were sore and swollen, NOT COOL! But we had a blast and I can't wait to go back.

This week I finally got to download and play with my digi's from Krista Smith. I LOVE her images and this particular one is probably my favorite!! She has an etsy shop where you can purchase these HERE. This one here is called Cornelia.

As usual, she is colored with Copic Markers. Mostly using the E50's and R20's. The paper is a 6x6 pad from We R Memories. Sentiment is from the dollar bin at Michaels and those flowers are all Wild Orchid Crafts. I distressed the edges, although I REALLY wanted to sew them but I still haven't had my mother over to fix my Sewing machine...I NEED my sewing machine. I miss my sewing machine!!! I don't know how to fix it and I hope she can!! I messed it all up. I mean, the needle is broke and all! It was bad!!

Anywho, thats all I have for now. I'll see you in few days because I do have some more projects coming up!! ;-))

Good to the Last Drop!

Super quick post. I just wanted you to see a card that I created for a GREAT Blogger friends Birthday! ;-) Her Bday was 2 days ago and I nicely mailed this out to her before I left for vacation - so she doesn't live too far from me...I am quite sure she has recieved it by now!

This is a scheduled post....I will be getting back sometime today from my vacation and I will be very surprised if I don't have any stories to tell! WooooWeee! What til you hear where I went! ;-))

I do believe this stamp is a Sassy Stamp and the artist who created this now has an Etsy shop and is making digis!!!!!!!!!!!! They are all so adorable. I went to pick some up there other day and had so much trouble making up my mind. The only one that I knew right away I couldn't live without was that little Indian Girl she had. I'm sure you will see her on my blog soon used with a Thanksgiving card.

Happy Fall Ya'll!

Good morning! It's time for an inspiration challenge at Magnolia-licious!

This months inspiration challenge was picked by Ms. Linda, who sadly has left the Dt...but we certainly are glad that before she left she picked this fabby image to work with. Isn't it just so cute and don't you just get so many idea for things to do by it???

My friend had picked up this little magnolia awhile back ago. She is called Standing Fall Tilda and at first I must admit I wasn't so sure about her but then I saw her colored and I just fell in love with her. I think she is adorable. I love her hat! I also thought she would go perfectly with this months challenge! She must be popular too, bc she is currently sold out of the shop. However, Diana is ALWAYS getting shipments so be sure to check back soon to see if she is in!! Heck she may be there now!
Did you know that you can also be notified when it comes back in? Yep...just got to the shop and when you look her up and click on her...on the right hand side it will say.... "Notify me of Updates to - Standing Fall Tilda". Pretty cool huh!

She is colored with Copics of course. The paper is from Close to my Heart. the fence border punch is Martha Stewart. The leaves were from a package I picked up at Michaels...not sure of the brand.

Altered Paper Bag - Paper Sundaes

Happy Sunday morning to you!!!!!!!!!! Normally I DO NOT like Sundays...but this Sunday is different. It's special because I don't work tomorrow!! teeeheee. I'm taking a little time off work this week and boy do I have lots of fun stuff planned. I'll tell you more about that in a few days!!!!!!!! ;-)))))

But right now I want to share with you an adorable, if I do say so myself, little altered paper bag that I made up for this weeks challenge at Paper Sundaes!! I surely haven't played with my Sundaes girls as much as I would like to have, but I'm getting my mojo back and they have some great challenges coming up, be sure to check them out!

This weeks challenge is sponsored by Stamp and Create and we are having a Sundae Bar!! What that means is you pick your favorite toppings - Black, Distress, Flowers or Sparkle. I have a little bit of all that on my bag. Hard to see in the picture but the flowers are sparkly!

I got this idea from ~~one of~~ my favorite cardmaker - Claudia Rosa from Pretty Pressings. If you are ever feeling in a slump, her creations are sure to inspire you!! For this bag I used a regular lunch size paper bag. I folded it down about 3-4 inches. The base part ended up to be about 5 x 7. I then decorated it like I normally would a card.

That cute little pilgram Tilda is colored with magnolias. Btw, she is actually called "Witch" tilda, but my friend one day said....she looks like a Pilgram to me...not a witch. Then I took the time to really look at her and said...you know...you're right. That hat is definitely Pilgram...not witchy!!

Anyways, so my little Pilgram got some distressing around the edges (one of my toppings) and then I put some cheesecloth behind it. I've been seeing alot of this being used around the blogs lately and finally got my hands onto some. Geeesh...I was starting to feel neglected. The papers that I used are from Authentique. I think my last couple of post have used these papers. I just love them!!!

Good morning! First, this is my second post for the day. Yes, you read that right...second!! If you would like to see my cute little bday card using a MFT stamp...click HERE. Second, did you notice the changed look to my blog??? I'm still working on it. I was going to have somebody just do it for me, but decided that I should learn a little bit more about the coding and what not so I bought a blog in a box. Basically it has elements but you have to put the Html code in, etc. I'm having fun playing with it.

Now on to my project. I totally hijacked my card/box that I created this morning. That's right, I hijacked the idea and I'm not even ashamed about it!! lol Not only did I hijack the idea, but I even used the same image! Gasp! Ms. Lisette made the CUTEST box (you can see it here) and I just loved everything about it down to the image! So first I said, I must have that image. It's a new release from Crafter's Companion. Talk about adorable!! Once I had that image, I got down to business.

This box was also used by Dena and she has a really adorable take on it here. I think I know about 30 ppl that had Birthdays in Oct! Geesh! I made this one for a special friend! Who is probably looking at my blog right now....way before she is getting it...but it can't be helped. I will be away from my blog for a few days and wanted to get this up. Yea, I could have scheduled it, but I wanted to enter into a challenge for Crafter's Companion! So here it tis'.

Isn't she adorable?????????????? I love her. She is called Deserve a Treat. She was so much fun to color too. I colored her with Copic markers and the beautiful paper is from Authentique. Have you checked out their papers yet? They are so pretty and I just saw a new line that will be coming out and I can't wait! I printed the sentiments out on my computer. I then paper pieced the couch. Lots of little cutting there!! There are two ways to put this little box together. One way you use cardstock only for the base the other you use chipboard so it's a bit sturdier. I used the chipboard, as I will be shipping this baby out and didn't want it to get damaged!

Whipped this up Just for YOU!

So listen here. I made this for a friend. I had it all colored and pretty and started to put it together then I grabbed the sentiment, slapped it onto a block. I glanced to see if it was straight...then I stamped. Well...as you can see I didn't stamp it too well because the darn thing is crooked! Makes me so mad. Now, that wouldnt' be soooooo bad if I was sending this to a friend who lets say, doesn't stamp or scrapbook. But, NO, this was for a friend who does these things. So...now I have this card and I have a dilemma. Do I make another card or do I send it??? hrmm... Well normally I would totally make another card, but time is getting away from me and I don't see much time coming up with a vacation looming over me soon. I may have to go into my stash and see if there are any other "stamping friend" worthy cards!!!

So here is another card that I kinda, sorta swiped the idea from my friend, Wendy! I liked how she put a black and white stamped image on the inside of the card. So I had to do the same thing. The rest was all me though hehe

The image is from My Favorite Things and she is colored with copics. I believe these papers are from My Minds Eye as well. I sewed all around the edges....good thing I got it all done because my next card after I had done this one, but stinkin' sewing machine broke! Well, I can be fixed, I am waiting on my mother to come look at it. Don't know what I did to it, but the needle broke in half. lol My mother thinks possibly my little girl may have played with the tension on it. I haven't a clue...I just use it for cards and the very occasional quilt. Which was put on hold because of this mishap!

Not feeling so well?

Do you ever start to make a post, especially when you are setting up multiple ones, and you just haven't a clue what to say? Well, thats about how I feel! I can't think of much of anything to say. So I guess I will blab about my eventful weekend! Lucky you, I say!

It all started with us going to Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando on Thurs. We went with a big group of friends. First we get there and we got through the line, then through security. No big deal, but then stupid me with all the confusion forgot my cell phone and camera in the little basket they give you to go through the metal detectors. Can we say PANIC!! Hello, both of those things are my LIFE!! Thank goodness I had emptied all the pics from my camera that morning....no telling what those people could have seen! haha

We were in the park and headed to a haunted house by the time I realized I didn't have my special items with me. Then I paniced and RAN....I ran fast! I get to the gate and the lovely lady told me that I had to go to guest services and be escorted to the security site. So I go to guest services. Meanwhile my heart is racing soooooo fast! Well what do you know...there is a LINE! So I very IMPATIENTLY waited my turn. In retrospect I can't believe they didn't call security on me. Had I been on the other side of the counter and saw this crazy woman pacing back and forth, huffing and puffing and looking as distraught as I had to have looked, I would have totally called security. But they didn't. ;-) Finally I get to the guy and tell him my story and he stares at me like a deer in headlights. I kid you not. I said, ok...look...they told me out there that YOU had to escort me to get my stuff where the metal detectors are. So then something clicked and he said, Ohhhhh ok. He took me out, let me out and then LEFT! He LEFT! He didn't escort me anywhere! So I get to security and describe my phone and camera and yahooo..it's still there and I go back to the gate to be let in.

Well, thats what I had hoped!! I get there, they scan my ticket I explain what happened and they said, "Sorry, ma'am but we can't let you back in." I get angry at this point. Then they asked, "Do you have a drivers license???" I go...NO, my husband has it and he is in there!"

Ok so crazy me just realized I was missing stuff and started running. I didn't really tell the rest of the group what I was doing. They had NO IDEA where I was!!

So the guy called over a manager or whatever she was and told her the story and they sat there and scrutinized my ticket...I explained how guest services let me out and then he left (which apparently they are NOT suppose to do). These people were totally NOT going to let me back in. They thought I found the ticket and was trying to weazel my way in. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw the lady who initially told me to go to Guest Services...SAVED! She vouched for me....and they FINALLY let me back in. Then the fun part, finding my group. Which didn't take nearly as long as getting back into HHN!

So there ya go. that was my experience....so remember...DO NOT forget your items at security!! We had a blast at HHN. It was so crowded though, we only got to do 5 of the 8 houses. ;-( The rest of my weekend was full of surprises as well. Friday was pretty uneventful, we hung out in Orlando, went shopping and ended up staying another night. Then we got up Saturday morning to RAIN. Lots and lots of rain! I wanted to go to another Mall, but didn't feel like messing around in the rain. So we decided to make one stop and drive home. 5.5 hours later, we arrived at home. Doesn't sound so bad, until you know that it's usually a 1hr 45 min drive to Orlando!! It was the longest trip. The weather was horrible and accidents were everywhere.

We got home, decided to clean out my sons room. Moved some things around. Then on Sunday we got up and went out to buy him a new bedroom set. Arrived back at home and started to clean out his room some more so the furniture could arrive on Tuesday. Walked in and the corner of his room was SOAKED! Nothing was coming from the ceiling, nothing that we could see from the window. I had to cancel the furniture and we had to find the solution. A friend of ours came over and helped my husband remedy the situation and as of last night, we are looking good. I HOPE! Apparently when the ground is too high and you get way too much rain, that water can seep through concrete!!! So they had to put drains in and bring that ground height down some! Pull up the baseboards and carpet and look behind the drywall to make sure there was no mold. Omg...What a mess we had!

So there you have it. I guess I did have quite a bit to talk about today!! haha So now that I have thoroughly bored you...you can see my card I made!

This is an Al' A Mode stamp from MFT. I just love her. I probably would have NEVER gotten her until I saw my friend, Wendy, use it and saw just how cute it is!! I love the little sentiments it comes with. I did lift the paper pieced idea from Wendy as well. I just didn't want to color the fish! LOL I thought, hrmm...yay, I think I will paper piece that too! The image is colored with Copics and I believe the papers are My Minds Eye.

I kept the card pretty simple. Probably could have used something else. But it's a stage I am in, I think! lol I have noticed lately that all of my cards have had less embellishments than normal. Mostly I think because alot of them I am using for classes at the store and I try to keep those simple and concentrate on the coloring end.

Post It Note - Magnolia-licious DT

Good morning! It's color challenge week at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. Octobers color challenge is to use shades of blues and greens.

It's a little post-it note holder. Super easy to make and makes a nice, easy, inexpensive office gift. It would also be great for a little thank you token to a customer if you are into direct sales, etc. Basically all you do is cut your cardstock to 6 3/4 x 3 1/4 then scored it at 3 1/4 and 3 1/2. If you have the thicker post it pads, than you would have to adjust your score lines!!

I used a Mini Magnolia for the front. She is called "Sweet Tilda" and you can find her in the Magnolia-licious Store. She is matted on the lacey circles from Spellbinders. The paper is the Gabrielle collection by Bo Bunny. Border punch and butterfly are Martha Stewart.

Afternoon all! This weekend was the 1 year anniversary of the LSS in my area. Congrats Paula!! Friday and Saturday she had a crop going on. I had no plans this weekend so I joined in on the fun and I am so glad that I did. I had such a great time. We spent many hours laughing and picking at each other and creating all sorts of things. I also got to meet alot of new people. I'm not quite sure what kinda of impression I made on them....you see....I got onto a tangent about going to Fantasy Fest in Key West and then we laughed and joked about my excessive drinking, which of course I do not do! ahem... I'm a good girl! ;-) I swear! lol Anyways, it was an all around good time I just wish it had lasted longer!!

I actually did get a few things completed to, believe it or not! The card I am posting today is NOT one of them, I actually had this done a few weeks back and just forgot to post it. This weekend I finished up about 4 cards so yay, I will have some post coming up! I have a busy couple of weeks ahead of me. Not much stamping time until after October for me ;-(

This ADORABLE image is a digi stamp from Mo Manning. I LOVE cupcakes so I just had to have her. I colored her with Copic markers. I did the background with Prisma color pencils. (Which I totally botched up....but whatever!). I added a healthy dose of glitter onto her dress. You can see it shimmering a little bit in the photo, in person it's very sparkly!

I believe the papers are My minds eye. I can't remember which packs they came from though!

Happy Sunday Morning to you! I am soooooo excited to be playing with my Paper Sundaes girls this week!! We are being sponsored by Michelle's and the theme is ANYTHING GOES! So I hope to see alot of you play along with us this week!

So you may be wondering where I have been lately....well. I have been home (surprise, surprise) I have just been highly unmotivated!! omg! I have however been dabbling in some Mixed Media Art. I have been feverishly "collecting" items to use, I took a class by Christy Tomlinson on the "She Art" girls and I have made a couple of projects that I will be sharing this week. I haven't colored with my copics sadly in a few weeks though. I am going to break them out this week as I just got a handful of super cute stamps to play with. Such a shame they have been sitting on shelf!

Below is a card that I actually made for this months Copic Night at my favorite LSS - A Scrapbook Store here in Port St. Lucie, FL! But it was perfect for this weeks Anything Goes them sponsored by Michelle's too! Michelles carries a variety of stamps and all sorts of products and tools.

I have colored this ADORABLE witch tilda with Copic markers. I added some stickles bling to her hat and bow. The paper is from Echo Park. I punched the flower with some retro flower punches. I just took one of those little tools with the round ball at the end (can't think of the name! LOL) Stylus? I dunno. Anyways, I took that and rubbed the middle of the flowers a little bit to get them to curl up slightly. I then stacked and glue them and added some chunky glitter to the tips of them. Pop on a button and your done.

Something new for me!

Here is something different for me! While I was out in blogland I ran across some fantastic Art Journals that I just fell in love with. I never gave mixed media art a second thought because I just figured that wasn't really my thing and I wasn't sure if I could get that "messy" look to look good. But when I saw an art journal post on Linda Heavens blog who is normally an AWESOME card maker. I love her coloring, it's beautiful. Her cards are always clean and well put together without a lot of clutter. Well anyways, I saw some great projects that Linda had done and decided to give it a try.

So getting started, I went through my stash I didn't have much in terms of mixed media art. At least I thought I didn't!!! Well, once you get going in MMA you will find all sorts of things in your house that can be used to help you create!!

A few years back I was dabbling in alot of painting on pots. Alot of Donna Dewberry things. I think everybody I know had a painted pot that year! LOL I really enjoyed doing them, not sure why I stopped. I just need more hours in a day I guess. Well I had loads of paints from then. Then I looked around the house some more and found all sorts of cool things like screen, bubble wrap, fabric, old templates, stencils...etc. But of course I felt I just HAD to have some new mediums to play with. So I picked up some NeoColor crayons, Faber-Castell Pitt Pens, Gelatos and I am patiently waiting on my Panpastells to arrive! lol That doesn't include all the new stamps that I have picked up. Yikes..what was I thinking. I should have just picked up one of my many magnolias and colored until the m.m.a idea passed!! LOL

The next thing I did was take a "She Art" class by Christy Tomlinson. She does some beautiful things and she has loads of youtube videos out there. The class is wonderful and informative and gets you thinking about all those things you can use laying around your house or at your local goodwill! Here is my first "She Art" inspired piece.

I started out small. This is only a 5x7 canvas art board. I used an old sewing pattern for the background. See the McCalls in the upper lefthand corner? They make great backgrounds because they go on well and create lots of texture with the crinkles! Then I started laying on some paint, stamps and some texture with modeling paste. I made the little girl with a page from an old book I had and the dress is from some scraps I had laying around, it's MME. I did a quick search online for a cute little saying I liked and Voila.

It's different - this mixed media art. But I kinda like it. Some of it looks way to messy for me, but I like the fact that I can just layer on colors or papers or whatever I want and there is no right or wrong. If you don't like something you did, grab some gesso and layer again. It's fun and relaxing. Kinda like doodling is for me. I'm sure you will be seeing some more projects using mixed media art from me in the future!

Tissue Box

I was asked a few months ago to create a Tissue Box using a magnolia stamp. While browsing my LSS I came across this super cute paper by Bo Bunny and at the time the Butterfly Dreams collection had just come out so I thought it would be perfect together! I love this color combo too! Which is why I picked it for this weeks Color Challenge at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog! This week we want you to use "Orange, Teal, and Brown" together.

Tissue box covers are easy to make and make great gifts for co-workers, teachers or friends.

I used spellebinders dies to cut a hole in the tops so that it was more decorative than a plain oval (can't see it in the pic, sorry). I colored Tilda w/Hawaian Flower using copic markers. I love that orange combo. I got that combo from Annika! I was never happy with my peaches or oranges and I came across this on her blog and love it. It actually uses YR's and E90's. The butterflys are from a Martha Stewart punch as is the border punch.

Simply Put.....

Good Morning! Did anybody do anything fun for the holiday weekend? I was hubby-less. He went to Tampa area and hung out with his friend all weekend. Didn't stop me from having some fun though! I went out with some friends on Friday night, then did a little stamping with a friend on Saturday....then I went to Kissimmee and hung out with my brother and his family and friends. It was his anniversary and he surprised his wife of 18 yrs with a renewal of vows. So sweet. She was shocked and happy....and cried alot!

So I didn't get much done in terms of crafting over the weekend. But I have no plans for this coming up weekend minus a late afternoon boat ride with some friends. Weather permitting of course. Lately thats been a battle. It's beautiful then it downpours in the late afternoon like crazy. So fingers crossed we will be able to get out on the boat this weekend!

My card for you today was made for a Copic Night class at my local scrapbook store. It's pretty cool. You come to class and we make a card using copics (of course) and you get 1 free copic plus a discount on whatever other ones that you purchase!! Being that it is class and the level of crafting ranges greatly, I try to keep it simple.

Love those papers, they are from Echo Park. I believe it's the "on the record" line. The sentiment is from The Angel Company.

Paper Sundaes!!!

I am so happy to be able to finally participate in a challenge at Paper Sundaes!! I have been so crazy busy that I haven't played with the wonderful girls over at Paper Sundaes since before May!!! Gosh, where does the time go? This weeks challenge is sponsored by Lacey over at Stamp and Create. She is now carrying Magnolias!! So our challenge to you is to "Use a Magnolia". Super easy for me! I am sure you have seen a few ppl out in blog land, specifically Zoe, playing with the "no lines" or "Faint lines" techinque. I decided to give it a go. Well let's just say, it ain't as easy as it looks! LOL

I liked doing it, and I like how different it looks. You almost get a painted or colored pencil look with it. Strange that something as simple as taking out the black lines would do such a thing!

Here is a close up of the coloring. I used London Fog, but I stamped it off first than stamped on the paper that I was going to work with. That way it was extra light! I loved doing the hair without lines, it was fun. the rest was more challenging, but I do like the end result.

Those fabby little papers are from the new Authentique line. Love them and got them all! ;-) I am getting a new love for 6x6 pads of paper. I want them all, and I pick them up everywhere I see them! I am starting to hoard them though. It kills me to use the paper in them! LOL I want it to last forever! But I used it, because I started watching multiple episodes of Hoarders on Netflix and now I have a fear of saving anything. I DO NOT want to become one of those ppl!! Have you watched Hoarders? OMG...after watching a few episodes of that, I went straight into my room and started pitching some things that I had been saving because you never know when you might need it. I threw out an entire garbage bag full. Funny, you can't tell though! LOL

Hello!! Those couple of words are big trouble for me!! "Let's go Shopping", I find myself already drilling into my daughter that shopping is what quality girl time consist of!! LOL If we are bored, that just seems like the natural thing to say!! haha

It's time for a new challenge at Magnolia-licious. So this weeks inspiration challenge was picked by Maria. She gave us this fabby picture for inspiration. I love coach! I love, love purses. I have a purse fetish. Thats right, I do. It's the PERFECT thing to be addicted to. It doesn't matter if you are short, tall, thin, fat...whatever...a purse is just perfect on you. You dont have to say....they don't have my size..does this look good on me? hehe I love purses and shopping!

See, it's a gift card holder. Nevermind my old Hilton Honors card in it! LOL I just needed a card so you could see what it was for! Perfect card for your favorite shopper!!!

This little magnolia loves shopping too! Can't you tell?? ;-) Tilda Goes Shopping and the Boutique Window can both be purchased in the Magnolia-licious Store. They are part of the Bon Voyage collection. I have colored both with Copic markers. The window received a heavy coating of Liquid glass. I added some diamond flakes on the flower edges. I can't quite remember where the papers came from! I believe the flowers are reflections.

Hello!!! Remember me??? hehe I had forgotten this card that I did a month or two back for some girls in my office. I have plenty of stamps and such to make baby cards...but nothing appropriate for a baby shower. So I just knew my favorite artist Mo Manning was bound to have something that I could use. Voila! Isn't that just the cutest pregger lady you've ever seen? I made two of these cards, both quite similiar. Just changed up the background papers.

I kept it simple because lately thats how I have been rolling! I colored her with copics.. I wish I could say that I crocheted the pretty flowers, but nah...I didn't. Thats one thing that I have tried numerous times to do and I can't seem to "get" it. So these are from...American something. LOL

My summer has finally slowed down. Thank goodness! I have a little bit of time before my next adventure and have actually gotten a few hours here and there to color. I just haven't put anything together yet. Hope to be able to do that this weekend!! School starts for my kiddos this Monday, yay! We've been doing last minute school shopping, open houses, etc. Can't wait to get back into the school routine! I will say though, I am SO THANKFUL that my kids wear uniforms to school. I couldn't believe how some of these YOUNG kids came to open house dressed! Wowzie...It was like they were going to a club. Clothese just seem to be getting smaller and smaller! Is it just Florida? I want to believe it's because it's so hot here..lol

Black n' White Color Challenge

OMG! I am so late with this. My mind was somewhere else and I almost totally forgot about posting this! It's a new color challenge at Magnolia-licious Challenge blog! This week Maria has chosen Black and White for the challenge.

This little baby gave me a HARD time..I kid you not. I pulled out piles of black, white and cream papers trying to get something that went with the image that I colored! LOL You know....there are a gazzilion and one shades of black. I used the C's for the image and afterwards I felt that I probably would have been better off using the W's. I did go over her with some W's trying to tone down the C's, but I still wasn't happy with it.

I used Farewell Tilda for my image. The Fence die is a magnolia doohickey. The farewell sentiment is also from Magnolia. All of them can be purchased in the Magnolia-licious store.

You're so Sweet!

Good morning! I'm back...no really...I am really back. No more vacations for me for a few months! ;-) I LOVE to travel, but I have to say I am exhausted! In between traveling, working and kids....I need a STAY-Cation at home! My house is showing signs of neglect as well! Needless to say, I am taking a bit of a breather! I do have some plans in upcoming months, but not to much!

I was so happy to say that this weekend I did get a little bit of crafting done!! yay me! Mostly for upcoming DT's so you won't see to much coming from me beyond that! ;-( I have a project I am FINALLY working on for my son. A few years back my mom and I wanted to learn how to quilt, so we took a class. We made a Log Cabin pattern and I LOVE my quilt. It came out so beautiful and it's so cozy. So cozy that my son has taken claim to it! He loves it and it is what he uses all the time for sleeping and cozying up on the couch. So I thought maybe I should make him his own quilt, since he obviously appreciates it. I am making it in more "dude" colors. So for the next few weeks, I am hoping to get a start on the quilt and wrap it up in between card making!

I had an idea to make more of a wedding like card using this little Edwin here....but then I just got blocked and couldn't remember what my original thought was. I had him colored up so I just went with it, using the color and the Navy theme from the inspiration photo.

I'm back w/a new card for Magnolia-licious DT

Hello Bloggie Friends!! I'm back....it seems like forever, I swear! My family and I went on a long, wonderful vacation. We started out in my hometown, Akron, Ohio. Spent a few days visiting with family and friends. After Ohio we spent a few days touring battlefields and and National Monuments. We went to Niagara Falls, Canada. Have to tell you, not a fan of the city...loved the falls and loved the a little city nearby called "Niagara on the Lake" it was just my kinda town, beautiful homes, quant downtown and clean! Then we headed to Gettysburg, PA. I must say, I wasn't exactly thrilled to be spending a FULL day at a battlefield. But after going, I LOVED IT. What a cool place and do get the auto tour CD, it gives you all the history as your drive around the battlefield. I really did love Gettysburg.

Next stop was Washington, DC. Now, my father in law and a few others warned me of how hot it was in the summer. I was like...well, I'm a florida girl now...how hot can it be?????? Well, let me just tell you...... 101 degrees hot with no breeze...thats how hot!! I absolutely LOVED DC...loved the monuments, the buildings....museums. I could have spent a week there...in OCTOBER! LOL We are already planning a trip back up there for fall of 2012!

Next stop after DC was Williamsburg, VA. If you haven't been, it's a colonial town and they have people walking around in period clothing. It's such a nice town, just beautiful. Loved the area too....I think I need to move there. Just sayin'. And it has a Zaxby's..lol (yea, we love Zaxbys...and there is not one even remotely close by to me!!)

Next, and final stop was Murphy, NC. Every year we at some point end up in Murphy, NC. We only spent a day there, but will be back up for a week in a few weeks. The brief trip was to drop my kids off with their grandparents to spend time with them and in the cabin for a few weeks before going back to school. I sure do miss them!!! My little one asked that I call her in the morning, at lunch, after work and before bed! Now, I would love to do that but I haven't, because she gets all teary eyed and emotional when I call. If we don't call, she is fine and loving life and having fun. So I am trying to keep it to once a day, for her sake...and mine!

Well that concludes my vacation. Now onto the Challenge for Magnolia-licious. This weeks challenge is a color challenge. Ms. Linda picked the colors of "Red, White and Blue". I know July 4th is over, but well....we can use this card next year! ;-)

I used "Tilda with Laced Flag", you can purchase her in Diana's Magnolia-licious Store. I have colored her with Copic markers and used a spellbinder die to cut out the oval shape. The flourishes are the Leaf and Swirl Die and can also be purchased in the store. You can see it in the picture (my bad) but the card opens up in the center. I would LOVE to show you however, I can't find the picture that shows it or the card to retake the picture. I took a bunch of pictures at the time and it shows the inside and the way it opens. I don't know what I did with it and I didn't have time when I got back last night from vacation to search for it, so I will attempt to do so tonight and add it in.

Hello! Back again for another challenge at Magnolia-licious DT. Short post today for me..sorry. Busy summer! This week Paola given us the following photo for inspiration:

When I look at this photo, I think of a bedroom in a beach house. Not sure why, but I do. So I used that as my inspiration along with the colors for my project.

I have used 2 mini Magnolias in for my card and masked them together. You can get all your mini maggies from the Magnolia-licious Store.

See the sand? That was created with Mudd Puddles. I LOVE this stuff. They come in a bunch of different colors and types of "sand" This one in particular is called Malibu Beach. You just use a pallet knife and apply it to the surface. It takes about 1 hour to dry and 24 hrs to cure. Fun stuff to play with. The shells were handpicked by my daugher a few days ago when she went to the beach for the afternoon. They were pretty plain so I did add a little copic coloring to them for some color. The papers that I used are from MME - Lime Twist collection. The pearls are liquid pearls.

Rainy Day

Morning! Where have I been? Well.....I have been working and vacationing.....and just plain busy. I think I have totally lost some of my ummph and mojo. I truly just haven't had it in me to get into my craft room and be very productive!! It's just terrible. It doesn't help that my husband tore up my house to fix a wall and threw everything into my craft room...so now it's a MESS. I need to get in there to clean it then maybe I'll get some inspiration to craft! However, I am on vacation quite a bit in the next month. So....I can't see much happening. I promise to be back in full swing in August! ;-)) Until then, I am hoping to at least keep it consistant and post once a week!

I created this card for my Local Scrapbook Store. We have a monthly "Copic Night". It's a great deal, for a small class fee you come in and get a free copic marker, get a percentage off your purchase of copics that night and you get to make a card. The owner is stocking a few magnolias and I just love this one. The papers I believe are from Echo Park. I put a nice coating of Liquid glass on the boots and the water puddle. I made a template for the Cloud sentiment. Thats basically it. I kept it simple because it's for class.

Good Tuesday Morning. Did you miss us at the Magnolia-licious DT. The challenges are the 2nd and 4th Tusday of the month..so we ended up with a 3 week gap....seems like so long since we last posted!! But we are all back and the DT have come up with some fabby inspiration for you. This challenges colors are going to be PINK! So come on and show us what you got!

Today I have used the new "Rocking Tilda" from the lastest Rainbow Collection. I just LOVE it. This one totally reminds me of my daughter. She is the Hula queen, that girl can go on and on hula hooping. I mean seriously...she is like the energizer bunny when it comes to hula hooping, it's crazy! Anyways, you can puchase this stamp at the Magnolia-licious store HERE.

I have colored Tilda with Copic markers. The papers are from an old kit I had made by Crate paper. Those beautiful roses were made by Ms. Anniebee - you can check out her FABULOUS coloring and creations HERE. The pearls around the scalloped oval are Liquid Pearls, I just love those things. I find if you just tap the card once or twice that they round out nicely. I added a nice dose of Stardust stickles to the hula hoop and the sneakers. They remind me of those Twinkle Toes by Sketchers! Are you ready to play along with us? Thats all for today. It's summertime and the kids are out of school and we have a heck of a lot going on over the summer. This summer we are traveling to Ohio for a few days and making a pit stop somewhere else. Not sure where yet. The a few weeks after that we are going to North Carolina to stay in the cabin for a few days. We try to do that every year...it's our "thing". So,you may have noticed the lapses in post lately from me. I will be around but not quite as frequently as I once was. I think alot of people are doing simliar things. It's just much harder in the summer months...at least for me! I have a few things coming up in the next few weeks...so keep an eye on me! ;)

Happy Birthday Cupcake Gift Card Holder

Morning. I have seen these cute little cupcakes over the internet for sometime now and have been wanting to make one forever. If you know me, you know that I LOVE cupcakes! Anything and everything...I love cupcakes. I know it's a craze all over now! I also like to make cupcakes and eat them...oh yes! Unfortunately I can't make and experiment with flavors as much as I would like to because if I did that I would most definitely find myself eating them and that is not a good idea, If you know what I mean. So for now I will just have to get by in making "pretend" cupcakes. I actually ended up taking a class at my LSS for the cupcake itself, although I tweaked the way I made this one some. I also wanted a box to put my cupcake in so I made the box. I have LOTS of pictures....so here ya go....

I originally got this idea from Tresa Black. She is a CTMH consultant (as was I) Then I took the class from Suzanne at my LSS. What I ended up doing is combining both of their cupcakes to make this one. Basically, I liked a little of what both of them did. Now for the details. The paper is from SEI and CTMH. I used about 18 ft of ribbon for the frosting, yea, it takes alot. You can also use flowers or fabric for the frosting! The cherry is a 3/4" round bead that I painted red and immediately sprinkled glitter over it. I then took a piece of heavy twine or hemp, colored it red using my copic and strung it through the hole for the stem. I added liquid glass to hold it! I then attached the cherry to a toothpick and attached the toothpick to a piece of cardstock that goes into the inside of the cupcake to hold a gift card.

I have to tell you, this is not a project you would make for just anybody...why? Because it takes lots of time!! lol However, my second cupcake took much less time then the first. They are not something I would mass produce, I will tell you that! hehe This particular cupcake was made for my friends birthday, which is today.

I'm Back w/ Blog Candy!!

Hello! So this was officially the longest I have been away! Yikes! My family and I went away last weekend to Orlando. We didn't even do any parks. We just relaxed by the pool, it was fabulous! Since I have been back I have been busy with home projects and reading. I go in waves with crafting and reading. Lately I have been on a reading kick. This weekend was the first I have been in my craft room in almost 2 weeks!!

I was pretty excited that I was able to pick up some, ahem...just a few...really...only a few...I swear, of the new collection from Magnolia. I wasn't sure what I wanted to color up first but I figured since Father's day is right around the corner I would make up a fathers day card for the hubby. I was so bummed that I wasn't able to make any Mother's Day cards this year. I LOVE making them because you get all flowery and stuff...but I was so busy during April and May I didn't have time! Wah!

Today I used Edwin Waiting for Fish.

Edwin is colored with Copic markers. I wasn't sure what I was going to sit him on and I ended up using the mini bench believe it or not. In my mind I really wanted him on a dock but I just didn't see me drawing up a dock! So next I thought maybe on a rock...or a log or something. Well I have none of those...so a small bench it is!! I then drew a "shoreline". Those fabby papers are from MME - "Out of the Blue" from the Lime Twist Collection. I misplaced my Father's Day stamp...No clue where it may be so I printed out a simple sentiment from my computer.

Good morning! Hope you all had a great weekend. I had a super busy weekend. Story of my life lately. My husband and I have been car hunting. I have a list a mile long and I wanted to test drive my favorites to get that list narrowed down. I came home more confused then when I left. Still do not know what I want!!! I loved the BMW328i but it's not the most practical family car. The back seat was a bit small for the whole clan. So I am going to look some more next week. I was really hoping that I would get into a car and just know...that was the one! When I got my SUV, thats how it was. I knew I wanted it and when I drove it I LOVED it. But I am tired of driving my gas guzzling large vehicle. But when you are use to all that room it's so hard to downsize, ya know!!

Anyways.....Memorial Day is coming up this weekend here in the states. Any plans? BBQ's? My and my family will be enjoying the weekend together with lots of sun, swimming and fun! I can't wait. It will probably be a quiet week for me in blogland. Good chance I will only have about 1 post in the next week or so!!

Today I have for you a sweet little "Hello" card using Hello Butterfly Tilda from the Butterfly Collection. We have an inspiration challenge at Magnolia-licious this week. The photo was chosen by the talented Norma this week. When I saw the inspiration I wasn't sure what I was going to do. I LOVE the colors in it so I ended up going with that.

Morning! Super quick post and I will get back on a little later and add all the links! Sorry! It's my anniversary today and the hubby and I have a few plans for the day. If you get a chance check out the Paper Sundaes blog and see how the rest of the DT "popped it up" on their cards. I popped the lid to the honey pot and the image itself.

Colored with Copic markers. Added liquid glass to the honey. The Flower is a handmade rolled Felt Flower. It came out so dark! The paper is from Sassafras.

Happy Anniversary

Evening All! My 12 year anniversary is coming up in just a couple of days. Yahoooo! ;-) So that means that I have been with my wonderful husband for 12 years and 2 months. Yep, you read that correct. We got married after just 2 months!!!!!! ;) He was the "one". I have never regretted a single day either!! Hrmm...well maybe one or two! hahahaha

I made my husband a card, not that he will even remotely care! But, truth be told, it didn't start out as a card for "US", hence, the blond hair on the boy. Which I will probably be going over with some Browns later on!! ;-) I was just coloring to color then I looked at it and found this wonderful sentiment and said, yep...this would be a perfect anniversary card. However, I did make an Anniversary card a few months back that I had intended to use as "OUR" card. You can check it out HERE.

The same is ~~"A Kiss for Chloe"~~ "First Kiss" and the papers are from Echo Park "For the Record". I love this line. I actually used it in my previous card too!! That fabby sentiment is from CTMH. I cut the scallopped square out with my Grand Nesties. I made the Tag myself and used my Tim Holtz mini stampler to adhere the ribbon to it. And of course it's all colored with Copics! ;-)

Good Morning!!!!!! You may think I am excited, but really I'm' not!!! It's Sunday and although I love a new challenge at Paper Sundaes, it also means an end to the weekend and work tomorrow morning. So sad! I think I need to be back on my Cruise..yep. Anybody a travel agent? hehehe JK!!

Anybody see Something Borrowed? I saw it yesterday with my girlfriends and I thought it was really good. Close to the book (which is always good IMO) not exact..but it was still good. I do hope they make the book "Something Blue" into a movie too! I really liked the book. Right now I am reading "Beastly", it's pretty good so far. Not a long book, I should be finished with it tonight. After that I have to find a new series or author to read. Any suggestions..please let me know! I am always on the look out for new authors and series. I'm not big into Sci-Fi...but I love most other types of books. I even like the Tweeny vampire type books. I just read a great series (My Blook Approves) by a E-book auther, Amanda Hocking. Personally I thought it was much better than Twilight...yes you read that right!! Next in line is "The House of Night" series.

On to my project. We are having a Birthday celebration at Paper Sundaes and Simon Says Stamp is our Sponsor!! We would love to see anything Birthday - cards, gift bags...projects. Whatever...let's see them. I had this bright idea to make one of those books that i have been seeing around the blogs. I got the idea off the Whiff of Joy Tutorial blog. I loved the concept, but it was not the easiest thing to put together, for me at least. First, all the directions I was able to find are in cm's. 2nd, it's not easy to get these folds to go together. But it's done and I do LOVE how it came out.

I colored "Tilda with Flower Pot" with Copic Markers. Simon Says carries these items!! The paper is from an awesome 6x6 Pad from Echo Park. The ribbon is Stampin' Up. The film strip is from Tim holtz and the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

I do love how it came out...I just wish it wasn't such a pain the you know what to put together!! Haha Somebody quite special will be getting this..lol You know, one of the few people that you know appreciates the work thats been put into it!!

I do plan on joining in a couple times a month but it will not be weekly as in the past! ;-( Maybe in a few months things will slow down for me and I will be able to dedicate the proper time!!
