Satin Ribbon Tutorial

Good morning! It's my day today to share a tutorial on the Ribbon Carousel Blog. I was going back and forth on what to share and finally decided to do this cute little Satin Ribbon Flower. It was really quite simple. If you are interested in learning to make it you can see detailed instructions, with PHOTOS, on the Ribbon carousel Blog HERE.
Basically to create this flower all you need is a 15-17" piece of satin ribbon, a piece of sheet adhesive, embellishment for center and a lighter or candle.  You cut slights about 3/4 of way down in 1" increments the length of the ribbon.  Cut about a 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" circle from your adhesive sheet. Starting at the out edge of your adhesive sheet, lay your ribbon down and pleat it as you go around. keep going and spiral it inward towards the center.  Once you finish trim off extra ribbon.  Next your going to lightly burn the edges of the ribbon.  BE CAREFUL! Add your center embellishment and viola....cute, easy flower for your next card!!

The rest of my supplies I used were an image from Some Odd Girl colored with Copic Markers. The cardstock is from Bazzill Cardshoppe, the notched die is My favorite things, the DP is from Kaiser crafts, the button is Bo Bunny and the Plus Satin Grosgrain is from the Ribbon Carousel.

As I said before, if you would like to see detailed step by step instructions along with

***Blog Candy update  - I was busy over the weekend and will annouce the winner of the blog candy in the next day or two.*** Thank you!!
